Great news! Welcome home lovely Pattie. Stay safe now xxx
ClaireC
Lovely to see her nice and warm. Is she now microchipped?
Moocher
Bless her, she looks absolutely shattered after her ordeal. Really pleased to see her home safely. I have been delighted to take down the posters that I put up - although someone seemed to have done it already to all the ones I trekked around town to put up!
Congratulations again and thanks for posting the reunited photos, it's so lovely to see a happy outcome!

Thank you so much for the update, I'm so pleased she is back with you.
I have added 2 new photos of Pattie resting at home after her adventure (you may need to refresh the page)

THANK YOU again everyone! We still can hardly believe we have her home. After missing almost a month, and with the cold weather and snow we really think we found her just in the nick of time. From the look of things we doubt she would've survived outside in the elements another night. Maybe her saving grace was the snow as she was found curled up under the tree by 3 children playing in the snow in their garden. Apart from some cuts and bruises, losing lots of weight and an upset tummy she is ok and is sure to recover well from her ordeal. She was missing her collar(s) when found, but we really have no idea where she has been all this time (if only she could tell us!). We are just extremely grateful to have her home again.

Many thanks again to everyone's amazing support and help during this time. You really did give us hope, kept us strong and gave us belief that we shouldn't give up.

Lis & family xxx

Oh and thanks about the posters Moocher and Troy's Mum. Will try and track down the ones that are still up too, but please don't go to trouble in the snow.Last edited: 2013-01-21 14:48:38 by levetts

Troy's Mum
Wonderful news! I couldn't get her out of my head and was so worried about her, especially in this weather.

PATTIE HAS BEEN FOUND!! We're VERY pleased to say Pattie was found this morning curled up under a tree in a garden on Highworth Avenue, Cambridge (about a mile away from home). She's very thin and has a few scratches but was very excited to see my sister. She's currently at the vets being checked out. This is the best news we could get!! A HUGE THANKS to all at Doglost xxLast edited: 2013-01-19 13:46:05 by levetts

Thank you Troy's Mum. It's very kind of you and your crew to keep an eye out while on the river. We've been in contact with the Traveller's liaison officer and have checked the site as far as it is possible.
Troy's Mum
I look for her each time I'm coaching my crew and have put my rowers on alert, too. I take it the travellers' site has been checked out?
DogLostHelen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
That's such a shame but it does show that the posters are doing their job and people are looking out for Pattie x
levetts
We're investigating this latest sighting, but it now seems as if it wasn't Pattie as the person saw the same dog this morning running along with a cyclist (the owner). Although even if it wasn't her, it's certainly possible she could be in that area, so worth checking out. Thanks for your help again Moocher with the posters, it's really appreciated.

The good news is Cambridge News will be printing a story about missing dogs in the area a few days. Will post here when I know more. And thank you again Helen xLast edited: 2013-01-16 13:32:29 by levetts

That's positive, the trail seemed to have gone cold. And plausible - it wouldn't be too difficult for her to get there from Jesus Green / Midsummer Common. I'm that way tomorrow so will get some more posters up - especially around the university buildings now that the students are back. They're often around at odd hours and may see things that we wouldn't!

Had a sighting of another lone black dog matching Patties description seen on Adam's Road (CB3) yesterday morning.

Thanks Claire. Will try and check this dog out. Noticed you've already posted on the profile so thanks.

just been found. It states Patterdale Cross but you never know. Some people don't necessarily know their breeds very well. Good luck.Last edited: 2013-01-14 19:58:02 by ClaireC

As a response to the radio appeal we had a sighting of a 'lone dog' on Jesus Green (opposite Midsummer Common) on New Years Eve. The person seemed sure it was pattie. We already had some posters there but added many more in prominent positions today, as well as search. No more news.
levetts
Thank you Helen. Feeling a bit quiet so hoping the BBC Cambs appeal helps x
DogLostHelen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
Another appeal has gone out on Cambridge Radio, hopefully this will bring some news x
levetts
Thanks for the info FLY. We'll definitely look into doing these. We've already got posters up around Chesterton and the Post office is aware too but good idea with the postcards. Many thanksLast edited: 2013-01-10 18:28:47 by levetts
FLY
Its worth putting up a postcard in Chesterton Post office anad any shops around there (down near the bottom end of the road where the static caravans are), also Histon post office and cottenham lamp posts etc - Good Luck she is a sweet little girl.
levetts
Pattie went missing 3 weeks ago today and still no news. We checked out one of the most recent sightings near the river yesterday and it's definitely not Pattie. On with the search.
levetts
Hi moocher, unfortunately still no news. Really appreciate you putting the posters up around Lammas Land and Coe Fen. Thank you, that really helps a lot. Gt. St Mary's is another good location. Anywhere where there would be a lot of people passing by. Many thanks again. We'll update here straight away if we do have any news.
Moocher
Still no news? I've put some posters around Lammas Land and Coe Fen and am going into the city centre tomorrow so will put some around Gt. St. Mary's and anywhere else that looks appropriate. Keeping my fingers crossed.
levetts
Hi Moocher, The sightings were north of the river, but so far unconfirmed. It would be extremely kind of you if you could put up a few posters in the South of the City too. Until we know for sure we just have to assume she could be anywhere and just spreading the word makes a difference in her being found. If you would like some more posters/images just let me know via the Facebook page - www.facebook.com/helpbringpattiehome Many thanks for your time and help xLast edited: 2013-01-08 14:05:46 by levetts
Moocher
Whereabouts were todays sightings? I live to the south of the city and have been keeping a look out but thought I was probably a bit far from where she disappeared. I will print off some posters and put them up in my area of the city. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
levetts
Discovered the Shelford sighting was very likely ID: 46923 so not Pattie. We've had a possible two more sightings today both within the same area of Cambridge. So far unconfirmed but keeping an eye out. Last edited: 2013-01-07 21:09:06 by levetts

Had an unconfirmed sighting from a lady in Shelford, Cambs who crashed her car after avoiding a loose dog on the road (night of 30th Dec). Currently checking this sighting out. Also hoping to get an article in the Cambridge News this week. Will post here if we do.Last edited: 2013-01-06 17:21:54 by levetts

levetts
Thank you Helen. Apparently there was an unconfirmed sighting of a dog in the King's Hedges Road area of Cambridge last night by a friend of my brother in law. Currently searching and keeping an eye out for her there as well as continuing the search in the wider area and spreading the word.

My sister contacted New Hope Animal Rescue and sent photos etc to help identification, but concluded that it isn't Pattie. Many thanks again Sue. Currently emailing other rescue centres in the wider area.
levetts
Thank you Sue. Just tried calling my sister but I expect sleeping. Unsure whether it is actually Pattie from the photo but we'll check it out properly tomorrow and confirm here whether it is her or not. Many thanks again.Last edited: 2012-12-28 01:41:54 by levetts

Thanks for all your help Helen. Will keep you updated if we hear any news and keep this page updated with news too.

I have spoken to the owner and Pattie ran off on a walk close to home, this is very out of character for her. The Dog Warden and local vets have been notified and appeals have been put out on the radio. There are posters up in the area and I have advised to do a leaflet drop too.
I will E-mail general information including contact numbers for vets in the area.I have added Pattie's details to Dog Lost Cambridge facebook group and other groups in the area.
Keep safe Pattie until you are found xx
levetts
Thank you Helen. I appreciate it. The owner is my sister. Please let me know if you can't get through to her. I think she is still out searching.
