I received an email from James this morning explaining that Briar's body had been found. He has now been taken home and laid to rest in the garden where a briar rose will mark his grave. It is thought that the end would have been instant due to the nature of the wound so Briar would not have suffered. I have now changed the area to Rainbow Bridge.

James, was Briar injured or worse? :-(
I'm glad you found him but worried about him still.

Thank you all for your efforts, your kindness and time and care for a complete stranger and his missing dog. It's not quite the reuniting we hoped for but i'm glad he's been found. All the best for the coming year, God bless you
