I don't understand the last comment here??
whichypoohs
? Maybe some nice picked this little dog up and has given her a loving home. I'm banging my head here having read: "Millie is known for disappearing?"
kate mclellan
Thank you so much to everyone ! it means so much to all of us, we just wish we could find a way to show how thankful we are. <3

Maybe on this occasion someone saw her in the car park and picked her up, but if that is the case she has become so well known in Swindon and has such distinctive markings that anyone that has her wont be able to take her outside for fear of being recognized.Last edited: 2012-12-30 18:50:07 by lmoore - Area Volunteer, Wiltshire

We met the owner there, seems Millie is known for disappearing for a few hours, but always returns to the car park, except this time. We saw lots of dog walkers, they all know Millie and know she is missing, the area is on the edge of an industrial estate, so she maybe shut in somewhere. We need to make her too hot to handle in case someone has her though and need posters all over Swindon

Good luck with your search tomorrow I wish I could join you but already committed to work all morning some of which is in the Moredon area so may be able to sneak down for a while.
Ladygrey
Some of the Swindon`s Needy Dogs helpers are meeting down at the golf club carpark (off Derby close, the road that runs through Cheney Manor) at 10.30am tomorrow to search for Millie. :)
Ladygrey
Ok have found the exact location is the green land off Cheney Manor, behind Nova Herod School, A very fast river runs there with a deep drop into it. She could have fallen in, if she climbed out the other side she would be near shaw forest, If she was washed down stream she (I think) would be washed in to molden hill lake, Which is fields all around. I have asked people to poster molden hill and Shaw forest. We need posters taken to all units at Cheney Manor. I`ll get down behind Nova herod school tomorrow with a dog on a line. Fingers crossed.
kate mclellan
Ye we have checked all of them and informed the people who check on them regularly. also the railway lines we have informed the people there. she does chase things but normally comes back straight away.
Thanks x
DogLostReynard
Kate I understand that you were walking Millie with an another dog she was there one minuet gone the next and you have had no positive sightings in the area (positive sightings as anyone should be able to discribe the collar she was wearing and it has a tag I would suggest you dont discribe the collar here keep that to yourself in case you get phone calls)
Does she normaly chase things if so have you checked the Rabbit/Badger holes, Lakes and contacted Network Rail yet as the railway line is very close there?
Good Luck for good news soon xxx
kate mclellan
She is being put into the Swindon Advertiser for Monday. and still putting posters up x
kate mclellan

Kate hoping you are able to get posters up and about today, put on your cars as you drive about, up in all the big supermarkets, so many opportunities for postering in the Moredon, Haydon Wick, Swindon area, bus stops etc. Good Luck, am making enqs where I can.
kate mclellan
my sister let the dog wardens in Swindon know and gave details to them so they should recognise her. thanks x

Hi Kate, I'm a volunteer dog walker for the RSPCA Bath Cats & Dogs Home (BCDH), who have the contract for kenneling strays picked up by the dog warden in Swindon and Wiltshire. The dog warden should recognise her, if you've given them Millies details, if they don't then it would be up to you to give the Home identification details so that they can identify her. Contact details are on their website www.bathcatsanddogshome.org.uk the phone lines can be busy so it's best to contact them via Facebook / Twitter or email.
kate mclellan
I will, Thank you so much x
Lilybear
Kate, try Bath Cats & Dogs home 01225 787321 & ring Brinkworth daily.. I've seen Millie shared on many sites this evening, with your many posters out and about hopefully you'll soon hear news.
kate mclellan
