Denzel is a stunning chap who arrived in our care as a stray.

No-one came forward for him and he is now desperately looking for a new home to call his own.

He would suit a home with an experienced owner who can give him plenty of exercise, further training and routine.

Denzel would like a home without young children.

If you are interested in rehoming Denzel, you can download and complete a pre-homing questionnaire if you wish and bring it with you when visiting the centre.

Before considering rehoming an animal, please read our rehoming conditions.

Clyde22
Hi all,

I've e-mailed and spoken with the people at Sangreat, the doberman they hold isnt Clyde it's too old, and has different markinks.

Dizzy at Babbington isn't Clyde it's too young, he (Clyde)was 22 months when he went missing. Though Dizzy looks so cute, so I have made enquires about him.

Now this bit is really difficult. I really appreciate everything everyone has done in this difficult time, so many people have just been SO wonderful. But I need to ask for something. If you see a Doberman, can I not be contacted or posted unless you are really really sure its Clyde. I just re live the whole thing, to get my hopes up to have them dashed, and its so so difficult as anyone who has loved a pet will know. He was my little darling, by bestist friend, and I miss him like crazy. But I also need to cherish his memory and move on, I can't keep falling apart every time a dog is found. I packed some of his things away today, but his lead will always hang with the coats as it did, as a reminder that he was once with me. Yours in love of a Doberman friend. Andrew.

I'm now coming to terms with the fact that Clyde might not come back. I'm going away on the 26th but my partner will be at home. If there is any news home can be contacted on 01274 582859 where there is an answer machine. I will not be using my mobile while away.
Clyde22
He went missing on Blind Lane and the other dog was found near the gateway onto alter lane.
Clyde22
St Ives, is a large estate between Bingley and Harden. The bitch was found some approximately half a mile from where they took off. The police have suggested to me that the other dog may have been used a lure since the dog and it's owner have not been seen since, and a number of dogs have gone missing from that location.

Thank you for the twitter post, my daughter and a good friend have already done this. Seemingly his details have gone as far as the Christmas Islands !!

Where exactly in st ives did he go missing and where was bitch found?
Clyde22
Hi Merlintrude, I've beenout and had a look around, but your right he could have gone in any direction. As he is food motivated a friend has also sugested I give posters to cafe's and pubs in the area to see if he's been around bins etc. Thank you for you offer of postering, but a couple of friends have already volunteered to do this.
Merlintrude
Hi I rang with additional kennel details. If Clyde has been sighted nr Five Rise Locks he could well be following the canal path but he could be travelling either way so would be an idea to poster at points along there in EACH direction. There are lots of dog walkers at Hirst Wood -Shipley and visitors to Saltaire where Salts Mill is located - this also has the canal path running through it and has Roberts Park adjacent . I will be happy to help poster around here but unable to do this until the weekend due to work shift patterns. I have alerted friends/colleagues in case they become aware of a found dobie. Hope this little man is found safe & sound quickly.
Clyde22
Someone (a young man) called me today to say that he saw a dog fitting Clyde's description ( a Doberman in a blue collar) near five rise locks in Bingley on the 26th Dec. I'll update the dog warden in the morning. It's the other side of Bingley to where he was lost so he could be on the move anywhere.

Clyde went missing in the St.Ives area after following a bitch in season. She was found, but Clyde was not with her.
Owner has contacted all the relevant authorities and reported Clyde missing to all surrounding dog warden services. They have spread the word far and wide, postered the area and been out searching.
Clyde was wearing a collar and IDtag when he went missing.
Have discussed scenting instructions as the area is quite rural and there are places Clyde could be hiding.
If found,he must be reported to the dog warden,as is required by LAW
Really hope for news of him
xx

Hi, yes the number shown on the site is correct.
Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire
Clyde22 - just tried to contact you. Is the number on the poster correct? It wasn't connecting for me x
reilly
It is always possible that someone put another collar on him. Also I know that animal wardens.co.uk can get their lines crossed- Team Angel had a bit of confusion with them over a pointer in trying to determine whether she was reunited or not - their site said one thing the operative another- it turned out the operative was wrong.
Clyde22
Thanks Jan, and I'll contact them asap.
Thanks Angela, I already know about that one, it's not him, I phoned animal wardens on boxing day. That one has a red collar on and a tag with a number, not mine. I've been checking every web site every hour, plus phoning the dog wardens daily. Think I may be prosecuted shortly for harassment.

Sorry to hear Clyde is missing. I have a dobie who hates the cold wet weather so hope your boy is home soon. I'll share on the dobe groups on Facebook. I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you.
Clyde22
Thank you to everyone who is looking, particularly the lady who phoned me today with details of some more kennels. I have told the Golf Club, Riding Centre, and the Mansion House, the police, dog wardens, (west and north yorkshire, all 5 of them), RSPCA, Dogs Trust, Blue Cross. I have put some posters up, and also contacted every vets I can think of in about a 20 mile radius. I've spoken to the breed association and Doberman rescue too. He's a great big softie and very very friendly, and a little pest lol. My greatest worry is that he would go off with anyone who offered him a treat. But I'm staying positive, and he can rest assured that when he's back I will be removing two little parts of his body with my bare hands - that's just a joke by the way, the vet will do it !!

Sorry to see that CLYDE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (46818)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
