Bless you to all involved in finding and saving Zak. Zaks family must be so relieved and glad to see he's on the mend. What a wonderful start to a New Year. There are still many nice people out there who just want to help for nothing more than a thank you. x

As Craig Pennington and his dog Moe would not accept the reward I offered for finding Zak, we would like to make a donation to DodLost. How do I do this? Andrew x

Zak update, he continues to make a full recovery, still sleeping a lot, but back on normal feeds and he has been out for a steady stroll (on his lead). He has been to watch Salts F.C. football match, watching from the comfort of the boot of our car. If you want more updates or photos then you can follow him on his own Facebook page, "Zak the Labrador". Andrew xxx

andrew thank you for posting- so delighted for you all that zak is home safe and sound- your family worked so hard for that result!
the beauty of doglost is that combined expertise is passed on to helpers and co-ordinators and in turn passed on to owners.
the fact that so many people are tuned into Zak's page means that his example will potentially help many other dogs in the future
much love

TX Andrew for posting...minigirl aka Lou just had a feeling your dog was down a crevise...and was trying not to alarm you but just to make sure you went out again in the morning..Amazing you should bump into a guy with dogs who said he knew all the crevises and would check them with his dogs..its one of those wonderful coincidences we love hear at DL.

I also read that the gent who located Zak refused to take the reward offered. Well done you.

Done a group photo of Zak's rescue (taken from his fb page) and added a photo of him with Moe the BC who found him. Zak is looking a bit sheepish....

You may need to refresh the page to view the updated photo/s.

I am Zak's daddy, if you want an update on him please go to his Facebook page "Zak the Labrador". All the credit has gone to lots of people on TV, in newspapers and online. There is one person I missed out, I think her name is Lou from DogLost, she rang me the night before Zak was found and she was fantastic, she went through everything, I thanked her but told her I had done everything. When I had put the phone down and had gone to bed one thing she said kept going through my mind, have I checked all the crevices and sometimes dogs don't bark when they are down one. The next day that was where he was found. Lou, the Eastell family thank you XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

The Mirror did a big one on him today also xx

There was a msg on fb this morning from the owner to say a "golden" lab had been seen about 7am today on its own between ACW Garden Centre and the flats (that would be Canal Road) heading towards Shipley. He was on his way to check it out. I don't have a signal at work so can't check for an update...

Thanks Angus.
There have been no confirmed sightings of Zak since he went missing on a walk on Shipley Glen with his owner and sibling.
Owner has extensively searched the area and has informed all the relevant authorities and spread the word of Zak far and wide.
When he went missing Zak was wearing a collar and ID tag and he is Microchipped.
The area is heavily postered and there has been much sharing of Zak on social media sites.
Discussed media appeals.
Hoping for news of him very soon
If found, he must be reported to the dog warden, as is required by LAW
