Fantastic news. I have seen Neo posted on many pages and people trying to match him up with found dogs so am so happy that the sharing paid off and people made the connection.

And so Neo had been taken 25 miles away from home (thanks mathers22). That's some distance - what a worry. Thank goodness for the Preston man (what timing, eh?!) and his caring friends. Just love the Reunited photos - very touching...

FANTASTIC I'm so pleased my husband's looked for Neo every day when he walks for his sandwich at lunchtime as it was where he was supposed to have been sighted. 20-25 miles away about to Preston. Hopefully, the facebook picture of the thieving scumbag who stole him in the first place helped also. Well done xx

"Some guy phoned up last night from southport said he was shopping in Preston and saw an Akita so stopped to admire him,so the Asian said do you wanna buy him? He went back to southport and was telling his mates and his girlfriends mate and they said there's a stolen Akita on fb so they looked and saw it was Neo! He came home late last night "

I think this is the same post that is going around Facebook, post reads "Amanda my wife found this dog today up in the Rivington area. It's a bitch Akita cross about 3 to 4 years old it has a beautiful nature with people and I would keep it myself but it does not get on with my dogs. Please can everyone forward this photo to see if we can find her owner as I am going to have to take her to the RSPCA tomorrow. We have had it checked out at the vets and it was found to be healthy. Please please forward this to as many people as possible Thanks Tony."

Someone called @emmadavies68 on twitter just posted a pic of a dog looking pretty similar found about 40 mins drive from Nelson. Don't know her personally but might be worth trying to make contact!

There is a man that regularly walks an Akita type dog on Southfield Street my husband's Engineering Factory is on Southfield Street and he's seen the dog many times. Just don't want to get the owners hopes up. If it is the same one my husband does see then he has been seeing the same dog for above 3 years. Hope this helps but don't let it put you off looking. Had a couple of messages regarding possible sightings of Neo,one was on Southfield St and the other was near Waverley Park,an Akita sighting has been in Colne too but not to sure if it was any likeness to Neo.

hi, not sure if it helps...theres an ad for a male akita fittin neos description on the NEW BURNLEY BUY AND SELL on FACEBOOK.... its in padiham....lady only has 2 pics of the dog in her albums on fb...cud be genuine but worth a check....ive sent neos owner a txt too on the number on the bruce forsyth vet scan link thats been shared allover fb with neos pic.... hope you find him..i hav 3 akitas myself an be heartbroke if i lost any of them.... x debs

Neo's owners had a phone call on Monday from someone saying they think they saw him in Nelson Town Centre.
Another phone call last night from someone saying they think they saw him a few days ago in Waverley Park, thats the second possile sighting of him in that park!
If you are in the area PLEASE keep a look out for him!!!

Neo's owners found out that Neo never went missing from the address that Saskia was found, he was sold on.

I have seen a similar dog being walked on Ripponden Rd A672 Oldham (the end near Oldham), not sure if it the same one but the colourings appeared to be the same. I hope this helps

I have just updated dog details stressing that Neo was in the St.Pauls Rd area last Weds(30-1-13),but when the police went to scan the chip,the people that had him said he had ran off,thanks to everyone for continuing to keep a lookout for Neo.

Hi have you tried a tracing agent to track them down in my line of work I have used a company called Davis Coleman and they've never let me down. Just type into google and you will get the office that covers your area think they charge about 50 for a trace. Its worth it if you get your dogs back xx
