  • Other Info Izzy was lost on the fields/trail walk behind Huthwaite golf course, near Sutton In Ashfield. Could be quite dirty if found as may have been underground. We think she may have chased a rabbit into a hole & although we have searched everywhere we still can't find her. She is a grizzly haired black & tan colour, not wearing a collar but she is microchipped.

So pleased this girl is back. We were on our way when we got the news so went off and had a nice walk instead. Thanks to Mick Flower from the Fell & Moorland for giving advice. This club has been a great help to Doglost members, and I would advise anyone with a dog who may possibly go exploring holes to join and support them.

Phew! Thanks for all your help & lovely comments, we found her about 20 minutes ago! She had trapped herself in a hole & couldn't get out. Our other terrier found her. So glad & relieved, thanks people xx

LynseyD no need to thank me I know exactly what you are going through your heads going to be all over the place. If you have no luck today post on here and perhaps I can meet up with you to help tomorrow (have to work today).

Hello. Sorry I'm not from the area but seen on twitter and been in the same situation. My Doberman ran off into woods and disappeared. We sat in silence for hours listening around the woods and I think she had heard is shouting then thought we'd left and started moaning. I found her stuck with a broken leg. The vet believed she'd been down a hole too. Don't give in yet. Get the vacuum bag emptied around so she can smell you or try a BBQ to tempt those saliva glands and sit n listen. I'm sure she'll kick up a fuss if she's hungry enough. Good luck!! X

LynseyD, I have emailed you about someone who may be able to help.

Hello, yes we have already been in touch with the dog warden & registered her with them. We think she might have gone down a hole & be stuck, but the fell & moorland website says they will only help paid members & that has to be on land they have permission for, as she wasnt actually being worked & may be stuck down a hole on a golf course I don't think they could help. She has no collar/no locater or anything. We are hoping she may manage to free herself if thats whats happened & turn up wandering around around down there. She just ran off into some bushes yesterday & that was the last we saw of her

Hello Lynsey, have you contacted the dog warden? I don't know if it is the same person now but my mum lost her Yorkie near Brierley a few years ago and the dog warden was great. Also it might be worth contacting a club to see if they can advise you if Izzy has gone down a hole. Here is a link http://www.fellandmoorlandwtceastmids.com/ they also have a missing page and cover the East Midlands.
LynseyD
Hello, yes there is an entrance to the golf course at brierley park. It was the bottom entrance/gate to the golf course where she went missing, which is about a 10 minute walk from brierley park up the trail/path, so she could be anywhere by now. We have been out looking for the last 2 days without a single sighting of her. If you are walking around that area we would really appreciate you keeping an eye out if poss x
Lisa123
Does the golf course back onto brierley park?? I can't print any posters at the mo but can come and help search if needed.
