Laura I am so pleased that Daisy is home where she belongs. It is such brillant news. Barryboy did well together with all the other helpers. Please get her microchipped. It is quite cheap done by the Dog Warden (I am told) who comes to the house to microchip.

Thank you for your comments Clarkey, its the least I can do, its a team effort when one goes missing, we all do what we can. A happy outcome to what must have been a very stressful time for Laura. I am also trying to encourage more helpers to register with Dog Lost. Last edited: 2013-01-13 23:02:10 by K9 Capers

Brilliant news .. that's fantastic that you have her home again. Well done to the lady who returned her to you. Oh and I am sure it was thanks to posters that Barryboy put up that the lady knew she was missing from her rightful owner..well done BB!Last edited: 2013-01-13 18:42:43 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

We've just been told by Laura that Daisy is home.

I also saw two ladies walking a group of dogs on the beach between Glyne Gap and Bexhill on Thursday afternoon while I was walking my dogs. There were two white labradoodles in this group, but I don`t think either of them was Daisy - they were both off lead and seemed very happy and confident, not nervous at all. I think if Daisy has been sold, then she has been taken out of the area. Are the police involved at all?

I am the Dog Walker mentioned in bashfulbailie's post, my trading name is K9 Capers. If you see me about please make yourselves known to me. The annoying thing is that I usually walk a dog in that area on a Friday afternoon but I was not required there this week. I am back there next week and if I see them I will make an approach. I have circulated Daisy's details to all my customers and other Dog Walkers I know. Also, most newsagents and shop keepers will place a poster in their windows free of charge if you ask nicely.
pixies peeps
There is one in Pebsham lane called Alpha pet and house sitting (which is near the roads mentioned. They have a website http://www.petandhousesitting.co.uk/ which has full details and contact nos.

Everyone is doing a brillant job looking for Daisy. Laura could you email posters to the Dog Walking Groups as suggested by pixies peeps. Barry Boy is doing brillant work. There is a Dog Walking Group in Pebsham but I could not find out the address from the Dog Walking Directory. I have their phone number which is 01424-221472 amd email address info@k9bexhill.co.uk. Some of the Dog WaLking Groups have uniforms. Barry Boy could you ask your friend if they were wearing the same clothes.
pixies peeps
If you google Dog walkersin bexhill there are quite a few. Giving them a poster of the missing dog to them might help with sightings if nothing else.
bashfulbailie
They sound like dog walkers with a group of dogs. I wished I lived closer. One of the Labradoodles could be Daisy. They may walk dogs every day around the same time. They do that around where I live.
Pray that she will be found soon.

Thanks Barry Boy..you're doing a great job. I'm tied up with work and not able to get out there at the moment.

A friend has just called me to say that she saw two females walking a group of dogs in Seabourne Road then into Bishops Walk (Pebsham) Two of the dogs were white Labradoodles. She was on her way to an appointment and was unable to approach them I was not in the area and unable to respond. Maybe worth a look around the area. Clarkey I put a few posters up in the area earlier this week and gave one to the Coastal Officer at Bexhill Colonnade.

Thanks laurawilkinson. I am fm Hastings too. Sorry, didn't explain myself v well! What I meant was that as she went in Bexhill direction (other info) am wondering if she ended up on the seafront prom along to De La Warr Pavilion or gone on the beach itself. Perhaps she went fm Glyne Gap along the beach and even on to Cooden, Normans Bay or Pevensey. Would be worth postering as many of these places as poss. Apologies I hv not done it myself but hv unexpectedly spent whole day at airport (son's flights delayed 9hrs) & start new job ths wk. Also perhaps you could ask the coastguards in Hastings or Galley Hill and also the lifeboat crew in the Old Town to look out for her? Hoping that you hv news soon.

laurawilkinson
Bashfulbailie, are u able to get in contact with me at all my number is the 1st one, clarkey I live in Hastings daisy was apparently lost at glyne gap, where she ran off isn't near the prom. Daisy was quite a small labradoodle think she's full size but runt of the litter and I shall try and fish out some other photos of her
bashfulbailie
Hi Laura, Sent email to animalwardens website as I was not satisfied that the dog that has been reported lost under reference 289399 was not Daisy. The details on 5th January were Labradoodle named Daidy - female - white - medium build. I have today heard that this dog is still lost. It may be the person who lost her on the beach who reported her missing. It is too much of a coincidence that both descriptions match. I have seen your details of Daisy under reference 50783. I will try to find out who put the lost dog on the 5th January on the site. Do you know the name or address of the person who your mother-in-law gave Daisy to. I will keep looking for Daisy.
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
Hi Laurawilkinson .. should hv asked if you live in Bexhill area or is this just where Daisy is lost? Just thinking Daisy might try to make her way home. Also do you know if she went along the beach or on the prom when she first got spooked? Keep postering and making people aware, ringing and checking daily if you are able. I have shared on Fbk and made friends in the area aware she is missing. Thanks Barryboy for postering so quickly. Come on Daisy .. let us know where you are.Last edited: 2013-01-09 12:42:23 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
Mini Doodle
Are there any more photos of Daisy that you can add? i know how different doodles can look before and after hair cuts, so that more people might recognise her out and about? Is she a miniture or full size labradoodle?
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
Sorry to hear Daisy has not been found. Hv shared on Fbk & Twitter. You may hv done this already, but if not, please add to http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/ They show all dogs found and you will also find list of all the dog wardens in and around the area that you cld ring. http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search/all-dog-warden-phone-numbers Also ring all the kennels/vets/rescues in area..Blue Cross Northiam, RSPCA Brighton, Barby Keel Sidley, Kit Wilson Uckfield, Raystede Ringmer, Last Chance, Dogs Trust Shoreham & Viking Oak Sevenoaks. Maybe put an ad in FridayAd/Observer as they cover a large area. Let's make Daisy TOO HOT TO HANDLE. Hoping Daisy is found soon.
Lorraine
still checking online and sharing x
K9 Capers
I will continue to spread the word that Daisy is still missing. Lets hope for a happy outcome.
bashfulbailie
I am very sorry that this dog was not Daisy. Put an ad in the local paper to see if anything comes of that. My daughter offered a reward for her dog when he went missing and she got lots of sightings. Are you sure that the person your mother-in-law gave Daisy to has not sold her to someone else. If you just put reward offered the person who has Daisy or has seen her may get in touch. This does sound really strange as what mother-in-law who is left in charge of a dog would give it to someone else. I really am sorry that the dog I saw on another website was not Daisy. We pray for her return.
pixies peeps
I will update the vets I notified regarding the date went missing being earlier.May be worth anyone else that has been notified being updated as well as if found before the 5th could be discounted as not matching the listed missing date.
laurawilkinson
Thank you for all you help, daisy is still missing, thank you Barry boy for doing posters for me. I went on holiday for a week, asked mother-in-law to look after her, she was then handed over to someone else, that person then walked her on the beach of the lead a train went past n spooked her and she bolted towards bexhill, this is all I was told, I am told she went missing Thursday, I only got told this Saturday. Am also thinking that they are lying because whole thing is fishy but put adds all over just incase and spreading my search further afield now.

I've been away but was about to ask the same question. Has the dog been found?Last edited: 2013-01-07 17:45:03 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
K9 Capers
Do I understand correctly that we are not in a "Lost Dog" situation here, but one of a domestic dispute where the dog is probably with a new owner somewhere. Should I stop putting up posters?
K9 Capers
Have postered some of Bexhill Seafront, Coastal Officer at Colonnade also at Glyne Gap by Cafe on the Beach. I will take a poster into Claremont Vets tonight.
Unknown
Spoke to owner, this is probably a civil matter as the owner asked her Mother-In-Law to look after the dog while she went on holiday and she sold her. May be best to speak to Doglaw.co.uk.
K9 Capers
Will poster Bexhill Seafront on Monday
K9 Capers
Have spread the word to followers an helpers via Facebook and Twitter. Are there any more details about where and under what circumstances Daisy went missing. Hurry home soon Daisy x
