- Brilliant news, awful that he had been stolen. Must have just been grabbed when he wandered off on his walk. Expect he had been sold on. I have been trying to alter my routine of when and where I walk due to the amount of dogs being stolen here in the south east at the moment. So pleased he is ok x

- Whoop whoop. fantastic news, yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
I've just had a email of Kathrine to let me know that Benji had been found, will paste below:
Hi Maggie
I just wanted to update you and let you know the good news that Benji has been found. He was picked up last night in Mitcham, Surrey by a lovely dog owner who noticed him wondering on his own with a lead trailing behind him, in an adjacent park when he stopped his car at traffic lights. He waited 2 hours for an owner to turn up as he assumed he must have just run off on a walk, before taking him home for the night. He took him to his vet this am who scanned him and found his microchip. He had obviously been stolen as is quite some way from home and had a new collar and lead on him . He has a bite wound to his head and pneumonia but is on antibiotics and is now back at home with my Mum. He is going to go to our vets tomorrow but fingers crossed he will be alright after some rest and warmth. He has lost a lot of weight and was very cold when he was found yesterday so we aren't sure how long he had been wandering for.
Thank you so much for all your help at Doglost, we really do appreciate it. The man that found him, drove him all the way to my Mum's today as she is currently snowed in and couldn't get her car out. The vet this am treated him for free and wouldn't let my Mum reimburse him. Such acts of kindness really do restore your faith in human nature."
Welcome home Benji (((HUGS))) xx - I hope you make a speedy recovery and im sure you will now your back home with your family x - Thank you to the man that found him and kept him safe till his owner could be found, also thank you to the vets who treated Benji for free so very very kind of you xxx - 2013-01-12 11:41 Lorraine

- I sent a message for a update.
Sadly no news. Advert was in the local paper yesterday! Hope this brings some news of Benji x
Bumped page due to Advert in the paper - 2013-01-09 13:56 Tiga
- Tiga did not pick up much scent at all in the area and I guess Benji will not have gone too far. Anyone in the area needs to look in their sheds and out houses as he very much likes his home comforts.

- Could anyone advise if trying to track him with another dog may be useful and if so how we could organise this?
He went missing on Thursday afternoon whilst on a walk. The area where he was last seen is very rural, surrounded by woods and fields. We have searched all weekend around the area he was last seen but have not had any sightings and are worried he is lost. We are not sure where best to now look and are very worried about his welfare. Any advice would be gratefully received. Posters up/neighbours aware/chip co and local vets/warden/rescue home aware as advised. Thank you for your help. - 2013-01-07 07:58 Unknown
