- Well Folly I am sure you clarified it very well....... lol
So please the dog is safe and reunited x - 2013-01-10 14:36 Folly
- What good news that he is alive and his owners have been traced. I do hope that he makes a good recovery. Going back to the subject of colour in Labs, the only recognised colour is YELLOW (unless black or chocolate.) Labs do not come in cream, golden, fox red, etc. If they are yellow in any shade, that is their true K.C.colour. Only Golden Retrievers are GOLDEN. Hope that clarifies things for the future.

- TX for update...

- good news the dog (male) has survived and is still at clockhouse vets, the police collected the dog and took him there... he has a broken leg and the added complication of epilepsy, not know if this was a condition he had before or due to the accident the owners have been contacted by the vets, so i guess he was either chipped or had a collar on so this dog is definetly not tank... obviously the vets would not say who the owner was but we presume local.... one lucky dog due to the speed of traffic on that road i will be putting him over to reunited tomorrow when everyone has seen this thankyou to everyone for all your help
- 2013-01-10 09:05 debbie
- Am praying this dog has survived, please update when you can.x
- 2013-01-09 23:39 zen
- according to the police the owners of this dog have been informed,so as tank and other owners looking have not been informed by vets or police their dog is still out there somewhere will find out more tomorrow once the vets are open

- Just read updates on this poor dog & will try to speak to the gentleman tomorrow morning from Stockend that I spoke to this morning. I will also take down the posters I put up saying rainbow bridge & pray that this dog has survived & will be reunited

- i have just phoned ron, and its looking like this is not tank, and maybe the owners have this dog have been found, i cant confirm this at the moment but will do so as soon as i can... so sad for owners of missing dogs when they think it may be their dog... will update this page as soon as possible

- Thats great, thank you. The lady that called ROn was a well meaning person who had seen the lost report and the found report, put 2 & 2 together and called ROn.
- 2013-01-09 22:17 zen
- i have just had confirmation that this dog was infact still alive and was taken to clockhouse vets in stroud... i have no more details at the moment whether this poor dog survived or not
- 2013-01-09 22:14 zen
- no i have rang no one... have just spoke to the police who were not very helpful still trying to find who took the dog from the road
- 2013-01-09 21:57 gsdjj
- Someone has rung the owner saying that it was Tank. Was that you? I know Rons number is above, but it doesnt even say the sex of the dog.

- this dog was posted as seen on facebook i am trying to locate where and who took the dog from the road to get more details, please bear with me i will do all i can to get more details... the person who saw the dog could not stop due to the dangerous location and fast traffic so we dont even know at the moment whether it was a dog or bitch
- 2013-01-09 20:49 gsdjj
- There isnt a choice on the breed list to put just Labrador, only Lab retriever, and they are always called Golden. Tank was posted by me and he is a very old and wobbly cream labrador, short hair, (not retriever). The van could have gone anywhere by now. Were heartbroken. I rang the contact number but no reply. They havent even put bitch or dog.. so we have to wait

- Run free little one :-(
Sorry to be morbid but do we know if it seemed he was knocked down or something or dumped there? Just wondering if a local escaped dog or could be further afield perhaps stolen and dumped? :-(

- a very kind lady i spoke to this morning (eccles) is trying hard to locate an owner for this poor dog, i have amended the poster as where lost, so it doesnt say found at rainbow bridge... i will try and find out more details from the person who saw this dog and where it was reported too.
- 2013-01-09 00:23 digbysmum
- How very sad. Run free xxx

- Poor thing. Hope his owner is found. Is this Horsepools Hill At Edge if so postcode is GL6. I walk my dog in that area most days & have seen a Golden retriever running loose up there. I have been told it belongs to someone at Stockend. I will look out for the farmer tomorrow & see if he knows who it may belong to. There is also another dog that runs loose in that area but I think thats a cross it wears a magnetic collar which is supposed to stop it getting out but doesn't always work.
