- Danes Vale, rabbit holes are warm, that's how rabbits survive. Water could trickle down into the hole and as he loses weight, he will be able to pop back out. Don't give up hope just yet, okay? Secondly, please contact the Badger group in your area, on 07966 378366 or if no reply, I have another number. Have you checked the badger holes - we've had them pop out of those before now, too. Badger holes can have water trickling in or under as well. Discuss this with them as sometimes they can advise you. But, we never say never on this site, as dogs do crop up even weeks or months later.
Thirdly, have you checked everything in the email SanBarn sent? Highways, Railways, Farms, (dogs don't get scanned unless they get to a dog warden or vet). Did your lab lead you anywhere that Woody may be have been? Was your lab distressed, frightened or calm? Is there anywhere he won't go when walking out? I'm going to send you another email right now, please read it all and if you keep going, answers very often appear. It really is possible. You have done so well, keep it up. x - 2013-01-24 10:23 Danes Vale
- Sadly still no sign of Woody - we are 99% sure that he has got stuck down a rabbit or badger hole. We live in a very sandy area and our dogs are constantly chasing them on their walks. Our labrador normally finds the rabbits and chases them back to their holes but can't get in them whereas Woody can. On the day he got lost they were about to go on their walk but headed off before we started and they never made it on the walk. The labrador came back 2 hours later but Woody did not. I have postered everywhere nearby and the local shops plus I have spent a week calling in all the rabbit holes within a mile radius even trespassing to do so. I fear that with the snow it has been too cold for the poor boy.

- Sorry to hear your dog is missing, i will look out for him as i live in Braintree, Meadowside, near college. I found my dog through the millenium vets site twice when she went missing, have you checked that site??? Also once found her at the council offices as the dog warden had her. I will put some posters up for you too.
