- A very helpful man living opposite the pub in Great Hormead has alerted us to 2 lots of spaniels living in the village that often wander in the village.. I found both lots and have to say that one springer looked far more like the description given of the dog seen last week. This springer has developed a roving spirit lately at the relevant times....... So we may have to accept that things are not as positive as we had hoped and go back to renew our walking around Newport, Wicken Bonhunt and Quendon. (Apologies to Sam66..I think I pressed 'report this'... by mistake)Last edited: 2013-03-05 22:12:03 by JEcclestone

- Ok good, I am 5 mins from the pub, will pop in later and ask Anita to call me as well if he is spotted again, will find out who the neighbour is too, they may be able to help establish a pattern. Will go out with my collie later, he is like Shaw Taylor!!!

- Three tuns pub in Great Hormead have been great. They phoned yesterday reporting two sightings of a similar dog?Humphrey....once outside the pub on Saturday late and from a near neighbour who had fed a similar dog? after he was found eating some cat food....ran off before he could get a lead. We have been over there twice since. Unfortunately someone has taken a lot of our posters down around Great Hormead. We have contacted the hunt through a man at Starlings Green who said he would do so. Very much appreciate all this help and concern.Last edited: 2013-02-25 20:59:31 by JEcclestone

- Hi, have you been into the Three Tuns? I know the new landlady well and she is doggy!! I will ask them to keep an eye out if you haven't spoken to them already. I live and ride out everyday in Brent Pelham, keeping my eyes peeled. Have you contacted Puckeridge Hunt? They are out twice a week at the moment. Again, I know them and can contact if you haven't already but I suspect they have sen your posters.

- Hi. I live in Little Hormead and walk my dogs all around the area. I've seen your posters. I'll print some more off here tomorrow and put them up around the place. Will keep my eyes peeled for Humphrey and ring if I see him. I never see loose dogs round here so it sounds hopeful it could be him.

- Sightings last Wednesday at Three Tuns pub in Great Hormead, Herts/Essex borders, and also this morning by motorist in Great Hormead, of a very mud-caked small spaniel fitting Humphrey's description who shied away from being caught and ran away. Will walk around that area with more posters tomorrow and contact vets in Buntingford. Even if it's not him, people are very helpful and kind to take the trouble to call.
