Just a thought, it may have already been considered, but might Ben be heading to where he lives with his owner, rather than staying in the location where her sister lives?

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. This is doing the rounds on FB so hopefully lots of pairs of eyes helping you. Good luck.

Been up the Beacon this morning, around the back where the radio masts are. No luck ,sorry. But just because I haven't seen him doesn't mean he's not there. Good luck this afternoon.

I've done another troll this morning west of Penrith between Penruddock and Mungrisedale along the back roads and tracks calling Ben's name and using a "silent" dog whistle. I've also driven both sides of the A66 between Rheged and Keswick. No sighting of the little boy - but I now have a very obedient border collie (named Ben) who responds very well to his name and the dog whistle! Stay safe little Ben, and be seen. Good luck to everyone with the search. All fiungers and paws crossed.
Goldenfrodo
Stay safe little Ben. So many people out looking for you. Good luck today xx
SuzeeBee
Good luck today everyone with the search for little Ben. Have all riding stables and livery yards and any hunts in the area been notified. You can see so much more from horseback. Stay safe little chap xx

Sally had a phone call on Friday 11th Jan to say they had seen Ben at the back of 'The Beacon' by the telephone masts, 10.45am and 11.15am. They said he looked ok, they did try and get him but he pulled away, the dog had two tags on his collar just like Ben.
if you are in or near that area PLEASE keep a look out for him!
Maggie
Thank you Jayne P and Sue W for your help, greatly appreciated
Maggie
I have spoken to Sally who was looking after Ben. They have contact all the right people, vets, Dog Warden, rescues, put posters up everywhere, alerted his owners neighbours incase he does try to get back home and put some posters up.

I have given Sally some further advice/suggestions on things they can do.

Jayne

Read in earlier post that Ben may be heading towards Cockermouth. I've taken my 2 up the old A66 back road yesterday afternoon and this morning and been along various tracks towards the farms around the Mungrisedale area, but unfortunately no sighting. Have advised other local people and all looking for Ben when out with their own dogs. Local farmers also asking around the caravan/camp sites in this area.
Stay safe little boy until we can find you.

There was a DUPLICATED page 47308 which email alerts have been sent out for, they will need to be done again for this page.

I've removed the duplicated page, there was no posts on it but it says in the Other Info box 'May be trying to make his way to Cockermouth'. There was also another mobile number, I've added both details to this page.

Searched around the Beacon last night via Roundthorn, Gt Salkeld and past the golf club. Searched the cemetery also. This morning took my dog up the Beacon and round by the radio towers. Everyone I spoke to are aware of Ben being missing. Hope he turns up soon.
