I am so pleased that the connection was made via Battersea. Well done for all you did to keep her safe. Good news to come home to.

Her owners just came to collect her, thanks to Battersea for putting us in touch!

Hi Sophy - I just posted some more photos on your Facebook page so you can compare the dog we found to your missing Peggy. They are certainly very similar, but we don't think quite identical - please take a look at the photos yourself and see what you think. And if you would like us to take more photos, or even come and visit her in person to check, we're happy to oblige.

FYI - I also heard back from the person who found a Jack Russell local to us - they took a look at your other listing, but unfortunately they said it wasn't your Yogie.

Wow! She is quite sleepy now, so I didn't get much of a response to "Peggy" yet, but I will try again in the morning. I looked at the extra photos on your Facebook page, and from what I can see at the moment the markings do look very similar - white patches on the breast, and four white paws?

I have just tried to upload an extra sleepy-photo, and I'll take some more photos for you & do a more thorough markings-check when she is a bit more awake tomorrow.

Also, I don't want to get hopes up unnecessarily, but I believe someone else found a Jack Russell on the same road on the same evening. I already wondered if the two might be linked. I think that dog was picked up by the RSPCA; I've sent your Jack Russell listing to the person who found it just in case they recognise it...

More tomorrow!

Have shared on FB and twitter and checked some other sites too.

Lots of lurcher owners walk their dogs at Wormwood Scrubs Park, I'll ask friends who go there to ask if they know of and lost ones.
