Our gorgeous CHANCE has been home 8 weeks today after 3 years missing! Love her so much. Our little Miracle Dog. Thanks again to everyone who helped get her home, we are forever grateful.

Thanks everyone. She was found by a lad in formby on sunday morning. He put her on southport lost and found and a lady who i didn't even know Juliet Knight recognised from missing shares and posts on fb dog lost sites, she remembered her name was chance so she searched the dog lost sight to find her poster and my number was on the poster, she text me sunday night and said it was a slim chance but a dogs been found fitting chances description and that she also had no chip. Monday i spoke to the dog warden who asked for me to email pictures of chance, she called me back yday to say it really looked like her and after confirming unique markings/features and sending more pics they said 6 of them have checked her and their 99.9 percent certain its her. They sent me pics also and i just knew it was chance but tried not to get my hopes up cos ive been here before.
I arranged for her to be dropped off today cos i knew we would all know when we seen her. The warden pulled up an said shes very nervous and quiet and when she got out the van she is knew us straight away and couldn't stop waggling her tail and greeting us and then ran straight in the house and Jumped up on the couch! I can't believe it. She's very skinny and has cut pads and sore ears but she'll be fine. I wish she had a head cam on. Thanks so much to Paul Pilkington for finding and catching her, feeding her and looking after her till the warden came and thanks so much to Juliet Knight for recognising her and notifying me and also to Deb Barry who also notified me and Glynis Rogers. Also to everyone else who's helped and supported me over the last 3 years by sharing her missing poster and looking out for her.
I feel so blessed i can't believe it! Over the moon. Xxxx

I think your girl maybe on LostBox. A very similar dog has been found this morning crying and alone at Chads Field, Liverpool. Seems to have hurt her front left paw, poor thing keeps crying! She's thirsty and starving, (really skinny).

Thanks Sal tried the link and it did not open up. There is a found in Winstanley (link above) which owner has been alerted to quite a lot and I have posted the pic on her fb share with a comment letting others know it is not CHANCE. The found one has feathering which CHANCE does not have and she is smooth coated, the found is chipped but details not up to date. Saluki's can look very similar. Thank you to everyone for looking out for CHANCE and cross checking with found ones. x

I've UPDATED the details and added a new GROUP PHOTO for her DogLost poster (you may need to refresh the page to view it).

Have also done a fb share post and shared with a lot of helpers/groups/rescues etc.

It takes just that one person to see her details and recognise her as a new dog in the area and make that most important call.

Searched for nearly 3 hours tonight, no sign at all. Spoken to a cyclist who does that route regularly, he had not seen her but took a poster and said he would keep a look out. Walked the length of Molly's Lane and adjoining lanes and side roads up to various farms and fields. LOADS of shelter around there, various barns, out-houses and quite a lot of dense trees which are situated near to a brook right away from any footpaths and across the fields. This could be where she is hiding/sheltering. There is a bird scarer near to the footpath which goes off every few minutes, I doubt any dog would stay near to that as it sounds like gun shots so if anything I do think the complete opposite side of the fields away from the path would be where she would choose to lay low/shelter. No sightings since the storm the other night which is a concern but hopefully she is just resting somewhere nearby.

Thanks Andi for the update and to the store for displaying a poster. Yes POSTERS are the key to getting dogs home and they work 99% of the time and we always stress this to owners (Heva should be able to vouch for this), there are also comments further down regarding postering. Posters can be printed directly from any DogLost page and when we can we send out various sized word doc ones to family and helpers. A helper who has actively been helping owner searching the area and postering actually took a poster to Tesco's, one of the staff said they would pass one into PAH as was closed at the time. Thank you to the worker for following it up.

Have to say guys, it is POSTER POWER again here - the guy whose family found Chance met a bloke today who told them there was a poster up in Pets at Home, so he came down to the PAH store to get the phone number off the poster to ring Chance's family - which is where Heva and I saw him - PLEASE DOGLOST HELPERS make sure you stress to everyone that POSTER POWER really does work, do NOT rely on Facebook or Twitter to do it all for you, get out, get postering!!!! Welcome home Chance, stay safe now xxxxx

Seen photo/s of Chance back home she is very thin but will soon be back to normal with all the TLC she will be getting. Advised owner takes it easy with her feeding and build her back up with small meals. LOL Chance slept on the bed last night with finders relative (she is used to sleeping on the bed back home). Owner will be getting her CHIPPED a.s.a.p. when she has recovered a bit better. xxx

I have just met a man in pets at home in prescot who has chance at home. He found her last nice and she followed him as he had a bag og chips. He said he was going to call the owners and let them know. She looked very thin but in ok shape on the pics

Thanks Baggy Dog when doing various size posters for owners these are included. Owner does not have Internet only access via phone. Helpers have been putting posters up for family but I have not had chance to do the various size posters. x

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. This works particularly well when there's been a few sightings. Good luck.

Police seen her on the M57 yesterday heading towards Huyton, they tried to catch her but she ran off. She was then seen later going down South Road in Prescot.

Leigh Dogs Home rang owner approx 1 hour ago and said a passer by driving down the Lancs had not long seen a white lurcher type dog running on its own down the East Lancs Road by the Game Bird pub. It was heading towards Kirkby way. Owners relative has gone to the area.

Chance was sighted again tonight the same time again !!! we were down there till darkness...we met up with owners but sadly they had a rip in their tyer n had to go home for another car..they are all back there now !!! she is in the field behind the farm thats up for sale in Molly's lane..thats off Perimeter Rd..all paws crossed !!!! xx

Been texting with owner while they are out looking for Chance, she has gone missing near nr Rainford By Pass. She was being walked by a family member, they started the walk from Kirkby and she ran off, he chased her for a while towards Rainford. She was last sighted Mossborough Hall Lane which is Rainford, St Helens WA11. If picked up in this area she would be taken to Leigh, they are not open until tomorrow, owner will contact them.

Unable to send info/advice and scenting instruction at the moment as owner does not have a computer.

Owner lives in West Derby, Liverpool L12. I've updated the details and changed the post code from L12 to WA11.
