Evening Standard reporter's name was Josh Loeb, on Twitter as @LowEbbs. I think it would make a good follow up story, especially as the news of compulsory microchipping by 2016? hit the news today.

Excellent news. Though I see he was found yesterday but his theft was covered in the Evening Standard today. Maybe one of the administrators can contact the paper and let them know the outcome, they might be more tempted to cover similar stories in the future

Wonderful news that another stolen dog has been reunited with its rightful owner and has come to no harm. Hope the low lifes get their just rewards through the Courts and not just a tap on the hand!

Have made a report with BDCH as did not appear to have one. Ref number is 298069. How old is the dog? Harringey animal warden picked up a AMB but he was aged about 2 yrs. Have shared on FB and Twitter

This sounds as if the owner was either watched when out with her dog or someone who knew them gave infomation about where she lived.

Maybe local radio or papers would help promote this despicable theft!

Tis has been sent to me: "Three men broke into the owners home, manhandled her and stole her puppy. "MJ" is a male American Bulldog, aged approx 6 months old. He is Fawn-White in colour. He is MICROCHIPPED!! If you see this dog ANYWHERE or know of someone who has recently got a young dog like this PLEASE contact the owner Fodor Maria. The Police & Dog Warden are aware! A REWARD IS OFFERED!!"

Heard back from owner. This is a particularly nasty case. Men broke into their home, manhandled owner and snatched her dog from in front of her. PLEASE SHARE this far and wide. Let's find this poor pup. Please never think it can't be done, because it has been done before. You need to make MJ incredibly famous so he becomes too hot to handle! Call local radio, newspapers, give leaflets to all school children, poster everywhere! Owner is devastated and needs our support. Let's share this all over! xxx
