- Whilst there is no updated news on Pringle and hasn't been for several years we have no reason to believe that he isn't still out there somewhere. We strongly feel that someone may have found him and taken him in thinking he may have been dumped. Pringle's owners would just love to know if this is the case and if he is in a loving home they would be happy with this outcome. If anyone knows if this is the case if you could let us know so that they can have closure we would be very grateful.

- Posted on FB page for Pringle but don't think it worked. Old railway map Exmouth to newton poppleford. www.disused-stations.org.uk Found station newton poppleford and a hand drawn map is lower down the page. This was asked for 28 Feb. don't know if you found one. Hope this makes sense.

- Thank you, am following up with dog warden, waiting for them to call me back again, different dog warden to the last time. As he could be anywhere we have to follow up every lead fitting his description in case he has been moved out of the area. Will report back soon.
Edited to say I have spoken with the dog warden and this whippet was reuinited with his owner this afternoon so not Pringle.

- Dog 70223 Has now been reunited with its owner the dog warden has just told me, so sadly not Pringle. The dog sighted in Harpford Woods we are pretty sure was a local lurcher, we had a chat with its owner about its wandering skills and since then the dog strolling around Harpford hasn't been seen that we are aware of. The search for the elusive Pringle continues :-(

- Thanks Selina, it might be whippet sighted in Harpford Woods EX10 on a couple of occasions in Feb, at least found one is safe now.

The dog is about 80 miles away from where Pringle went missing but we'll check it out just in case. EDITED TO SAY was asked to ring dog warden back at 2 still no answer so I have emailed him, I will update as soon as I hear something back.

- Another sighting this morning at approx 0930 in the same woods at harpford. Sightee saw him coming up some steps and as soon as he saw her he ran away in the direction he was coming from by the time she got to the steps she couldn't see him anywhere. She looked and waited no sign of any other walker/owner.

- There was another sighting yesterday again in Harpford Woods, we really need to know from the locals if there is anyone that walks a dog similar in looks to Pringle in Harpford Woods, Newton Poppleford, we are putting an appeal out on the FB page.

- There have been two more possible sightings, one today and one 2 weeks ago in the same woodland in Newton Poppleford, which is just a couple of villages away from Exmouth where Pringle initially went missing from. What also connects this woodland from where he initially went missing is the same disused railway line we were all searching for so long where his initial sightings were. It goes from Exmouth through Otterton (one possible sighting just before Xmas) and then the outskirts of newton Poppleford.

Sighted only, VERY nervy, shaking like a leaf, pale brindle whippet on the path from Chilling towards Hook Village, south Hampshire. Had leather greyhound style collar on, with blue bone shaped dog tag, but shot past my dog and I in fear. If anyone is missing a dog like this, headed down towards Chilling shoreline by Solent Breezes caravan park about 6.20pm

- Although unlikely to be Pringle due the the distance there has been a report of a similar whippet along the coast path between Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury last week. Unfortunately the walkers did not know about Pringle until they walked in the Exmouth area and saw his posters. The one they saw did not have a collar and did not seem to be with anyone, nervous and was not approachable.
Bumped due to possible sightings along the West Dorset Coastal Path between Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury. If not Pringle then we need to find out if there is another whippet on the loose in this area. - 2013-07-08 16:09 maviee

- MillieVW I have looked and very like Pringle in body, but I think Pringle has more white on face than this dog. However, to be on the safe side perhaps a visit from owner just to rule it out?

- Another sighting in the early hours of this morning in Nelson Drive heading towards Roseway, about 2AM.
- 2013-03-20 09:56 rachelhayball
- There have been a few sightings in the fields near littleham adjacent to the cycle path over the last few days. After a positive sighting yesterday we called in K9 Search Dogs (Sam Farlap with her trained tracking blood hounds). K9SD Forager got a very positive scent from the place where he was spotted, and tracked Pringle for an hour, eventually losing the scent against some gardens/road. Disapointing for us not to have a positive ending, but a plus point that the original sighting was accurate.

- Bumping due to recent sighting.
There was been a very probable sighting of Pringle late last night at Capel Lane near Salterton Rd, Exmouth by an on duty police officer. He had a poster of Pringle in the car with him so he could check.
He was seen with another dog, a black one possibly lab sized. The officer called Pringle and he stopped and looked at the police officer but ran when the black dog barked.
The black dog was later seen on his own.
The search team came back in at 2am, back out today. - 2013-02-23 18:27 Helen

- 2013-02-05 15:25 Carroll
- Alan Titchmarsh today on ITV has just asked for a photo and information of any lost dog that he can feature on his program in a short while. Might be worth sending in to him quickly in the hope he will pick Pringle as a dog he shows is lost. alan@itv.com is the address
- 2013-02-05 11:02 rachelhayball
- Lisa has been back to where we found the paw prints last night, no new ones but interestingly there is a fresh paw print that looks whippet size where the barbecue was last night. This obviously could have been a dog walker this morning but we have to consider it in case he came out to look at where they were sat last night. We need to keep barbecuing in the same place in case it is him as he will get more confident as the nights go on. We are also trying to find a good location for a trap.
- 2013-02-04 01:47 MollyCharlie
- We searched high and low today, poor Pringle was nowhere to be seen. Lit 1 BBQ in the afternoon and 2 in the night. Left all the food there in the hope that if he's still there he gets it before the foxes. Sarah

Lots of posters are up and lots of local people made aware. - 2013-01-31 14:11 Baggy Dog
- I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. This really worked for me when I was helping with a local search with all the sightings coming in thick and fast.

- There was a sighting on Tuesday evening in a garden at Roseway, Littleham (in between Tesco's and Sandy Bay), Pringle was seen eating the bird food that had been put out in the lady's garden. At least we have a direction now. He could either continue towards Sandy bay or towards Woodbury Common along the B3178 Salterton Rd
