There was a possible sighting of Ester on 11th March around 8 pm in the Thorpe Road area of Melton Mowbray (the same area as before)
Helen
Have owners thought about keeping a small bbq with sausages and bacon constantly cooking. With her backing onto fields and he is still in the area and the wind is right. X
Ellie
Owner checked this possible sighting but feels its a short legged JR that lives in the village
Ellie
Esters owner was contacted by 103fm The Eye today and they played a live call with him talking about Ester.
Bumping her page
Ellie
There was a possible sighting of Ester today by the roadside at Burrough on the Hill, this is the Country Park area where she was seen on the 4th February. A passing lady motorist stopped to try to get her but she ran off. Please come home Ester Last edited: 2013-03-01 22:48:56 by Ellie

Still no news of Ester, we are all still hopeful that she is out there somewhere. Thank you to everybody for all your hardwork and support so far. She is missed so much, and we just want to give her a cuddle. She will be missing us as much as we are missing her!! Thank you Helen, we had a phonecall from the pet shop, sadly it didn't lead to anything but it means a lot that people are out there thinking of her xx

Owner: approx 12:00 today a woman was in her car annd saw a dog matching Esters description in East Yorkshire, the exact location was A63 between Howden and Selby about 1 mile from Hemmingborough - the dog was frightened and ran off looking disorentated, it looked dirty with no collar on. Isn't there any new on poor Ester yet ?xx
Ellie
Bumping Esters page has her owners have been told by people who are convinced they saw her around the Thorpe Road and Country Park area. She would not go to them and appeared disorientated and frightened.
Have given advice scenting and food to keep her in the area and also how to approach her
Ellie
Thanks Jayne.
Esters owner informed me that despite 20 people and almost as many dogs searching this morning there was no sign of her. They wonder if someone has found her and taken her in and intend to make lots of phone calls tomorrow.

Message from owner: a search is organised for tomorrow morning at 10.00 am. Anyone able to help please contact owner.
They have printed off lots of posters and will put them all round the villages.
They say they really appreciate the support, advice and opportunities to share that Ester is missing DogLost are providing.
Ellie
Thanks Riverlady.
This is a very rural area. A friend of mine Rachel used to groom Ester at the kennels when she had the parlour there. she says Ester is a sweetie and will be terrified. She says she has seen in the past her wander down the pathway towards Twyford. Rachel has also notified the farm behind the kennels

Spoken to owner. Ester went missing out on a walk over fields which immediately backs on to her home. They have contacted nearby boarding kennels, DW, police and will let chip company know. Have given general advice and will email advice sheets and contact numbers.
Ester has been very poorly recently so is extra cause for concern.

Please stay safe until you are found Ester

Sorry to see that ESTER is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (48177)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
