- I am so so sorry your gorgeous girl didn't make it home safe to her loving family, run free and play forever at the bridge sweet Phoebe xx
I have read a couple of articles over poor Phoebe and her family, heartbreaking, but thank you to the owner for giving doglost the recognition it deserves, when my Bulldog was stolen they were fantastic, luckily I had the best outcome and got my gorgeous girl home. I am a member of doglost and would encourage more people to join, the more members the more chance we have of getting more of the lost dogs reunited with their loving families! - 2013-02-12 21:17 Unknown
- Thumbs down to the National papers. Owners wishes should always be respected. Families go through enough heartache when they lose a much loved pet. RIP Phoebe. Run freex

- Only out of respect for owners wishes....Poor lady to wake up to an article about her sadly deceased dog in the National papers....Nik has confirmed she was rung by the Daily Mail...but refused to comment...as she had promised the owners no publicity....
- 2013-02-09 22:07 Unknown
- I did`nt realize it was a big HUSH either; live, and learn.
- 2013-02-09 12:29 liana
- I think the other company is just trying to use the owner for publicity and it's sick, doglost do a fantastic job and I was one of the first people to tell the owner to reg phoebe on here.
As for my comment earlier I'm sorry I didn't realise the info was to be kept private it was a genuine question asking if anything is going to ever get done to try and stop this happening time and time again xx - 2013-02-09 10:53 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Just read the article in the Daily Mail....and have to stand with Nik on this one....an organization that charges...has made it appear as though they located the dog and not as you will see on here from an earlier posting it was actually Nik who investigated and got the report.

- Although there is a lot of information in the public domain regarding Phoebe, I agreed with the family that we would not reveal owners' details or the circumstances. Unlike Animal Search we have kept our word and for that reason some posts have been removed.

- Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

- Worth also checking areas near food outlets/supermarkets. Labrador trait to trace the food.
- 2013-02-05 17:10 .
- We live in High Barnet and know the woods well. Railway line is well fenced and I'm sure the slope is so steep no dog would venture down there. My son (11) wants to help look for her so we will take our dog to the woods this evening and see if we can see her anywhere. Really hope she is found safe and well and back with her family ASAP Last edited: 2013-02-06 08:51:55 by .

- I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. Glad dog is microchipped. Hoping for a speedy reunion.Last edited: 2013-02-04 20:45:40 by Baggy Dog
