- Hi, I found the dog posted below in Haydock. Star does look relatively similar, however I think the face is slightly different but worth a shot!! The only thing that concerns me is the distance and length of time Star has been missing...it has been reported by one of our neighbours that they saw her being dumped in Haydock by someone in a Silver Astra 54 plate.

- ****FOUND***
Found a Tan female Staff on 8th April in Haydock. She has been taken to the vets, but not chipped, found with just a red lead looped round the neck, no collar. No older than 18 months old. She is living with us while we try to find her owner. - this was posted on facebook group 'cats and dogs lost and found wigan area' yesterday. The picture looks very much like Star. - 2013-02-11 13:06 Maggie

- I have spoken to danimcc and she told me that someone picked Star up when she ran in front of there car and said to someone that they would take her to the Dogs Home, danimcc went to MDH and she's not be handed in. I did say that maybe the person was driving through and may of taken her to the Dogs home in the area they live, i have advised them to go to leigh dogs and cats home which isn't that far from where they live, you never know the person could live near to that Dogs Home.
They have contacted all the right people and have been putting posters up, they are doing everything they can to find Star.
I will send email with further information and advise and also send her poster to leigh for them to check she isn't with them.
I hope to see Star home very soon x - 2013-02-08 10:33 Maggie

- Theres a Found little one worth checking ID 48431
Copied from page:
The finder was unable to stay with the dog so they left her with Abbeywood Vets, 104 Ashton Road, Crown Point, Denton. It is known that the young dog was scanned for a microchip by the vets before the finder left but none was found.

- Sorry to see that STAR is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (48436)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
