What is going on at CDH? Dogs being there when owners told they are not? I find this very worrying. They are said to euthanase, claim they don't? If something is wrong can we do anything? Haven't heard of DL? Good grief!

If this dog is now with its owner, can we put him/her in reunited please xLast edited: 2013-02-21 01:30:25 by BBKM

Has this dog been claimed or not? & do we know what gender it is?
I was wondering if it was Oscar? i.d 28036, a bit hard to tell from this picture, but similar facial markings.

Suzanne I have emailed you.
4paws
seems strange dog listed 2 weeks after found..when they have been
claimed or re-homed..I personally think 7 days is far too short a
time to hold dogs as if they are out of lost area there is very
little chance of owners finding in that time..
Suzanne
I will try again but I did also contact the Council before talking to the home and the person I spoke to wasn't very help, she said she thought the springer had been returned to its owner as it had been chipped and that I would need to speak with the home.... When I spoke with the home she was puzzled as to why the council told me to contact them, they hadn't heard of DogLost and couldn't remember having any springers then at the end of the conversation remembered they might have a black and white springer! I will try again on the council again on Monday as it looks as tho they don't have a call centre out of hours.

It's also my understanding that all dogs brought in by the dog warden are logged in a book so if you visit the dogs home ask to see it.

If anyone is having problems obtaining information on, or viewing found dogs at Stoke City Dogs Home please call the Council for their advice 01782 234234. Details of the dogs they have are on their web site although I don't know how regularly this is updated.

Something not right there, if they couldn't give you basic info about these dogs. Could they tell you what gender they are??
Hope Biggles and Tilly are found safe soon x
Ros
Hiya, I also rang as I'm missing Tilly. Also got very vague info from the City dogs home regarding this. Its wierd to have only been put on here yesterday along with the other springer with same contact numbers and yet they seem to know little about them?
Suzanne
Hi, We thought the same, that it looks like Biggsy but lookng closer we don't think it is even so I called called both numbers yesterday regarding both Springers in the central hoping for either more photos or confirmation hat it isnt Biggles and I got vague information, the council thought they had been given back to the owners as they were chipped and the home rehome after 7 days and as these were found on the 21st January she didn't think it was at the home! The only one they think they have is a black and white springer (so not sure whether this would be Black and White rather han Liver or white)...... Not sure really what has happened and what is going on..... Is there anyway someone from DogLost could help out to determine whether this dog is there or not as I didn't have much luck to be honest and would like to confirm for certain that his isn't Biggsy..... Thanks Suze (Biggsy's Mum)
Lorn
I think this dog looks very like Biggles 45333.
