looks like that akita is no longer in the pound but is now safe in rescue but photo is still on the site

there is an akita in the pounds on www.dogpages.org.uk in "poundie list"/mid december not sure if it is true akita or male/female but may be worth a look good luck

The one I went to see was in Halifax.If you get chance can you look at that one.his colour, he is rich brown "called red in the breed" and always has a scabby nose which sometimes bleeds as if he has been burying a bone.

yes i think a few dogs similar to him are used as guard dogs there is one next door to my house used as a guard dog at the shop tied up at the garage i wonder if thats the one you were called about in linthwaite. I am still keeping an eye out around cowersley milnsbridge area for you. Hope you find him soon

got a call to say an Akita was tied up at a garage as guard dog.went to look but it wasn't Isac. Bitch found around Asda, was claimed. had no calls since. so could have been looking in wrong area.

Iam really sorry to hear of Sheena's death. I have been there, I understand.I have given out to postmen. I have stuck posters to bus shelters dustbins. Iam at my wits end.thankyou for the lookout.

I know this isnt really the place and I dont want to take Isaacs page in anyway but I just thought with me mentioning it already about Sheena. It wasnt addisons she had I wish it was. She got worse and Thursday was operated on. Sheena died last Thursday to stomache cancer. Just 8 years old and fit as ever untill just a week before her death. Sheena send your spirit to help guid Isaac and all the missing dogs home. xxx

Try getting the poster out to the local postman for the area-he may have seen this dog-also local schools-How far away is his sighting?

i definatly will, i'm sorry i wasnt more of a help but i am always in the area a few times a day so i will always be on the look out and will find out where he lives if i see him again. will let you know if i see anything.

I saw a dog looking exactly the same as the photo about 4/5 days ago walking along manchester road around the cowersley part with a young guy, i paid quite alot of attention to it as he is such a gorgeous dog and i pointed him out to my partner.obviously it could be a different dog but if its same one we saw then is likely to now be resident around the area i saw him being walked.sorry i have no more imformation but i will definatly keep a look out now i know for the same dog as you do not come accross them everyday.

Isaacs mum, sometimes the big stores are helpful and sometimes they are not. When I was putting posters up for Dolly at my local Sainsbury's two burly security guards came up and were about to give me a hard time for fly posting but they rang through to control and they gave me the ok but they didn't stay up terribly long before they were 'cleaned' off. Asdas refused but I postered anyway. Isaac is a big boy and would be very hard to hide. Are there any private yards (like scrap yards or garages etc) near you who may have taken him in as a usful looking guard dog? but that are tucked away from the mainstream of traffic. Dolly 6.2.05

I hope you find Isaac very soon. I have an Akita Sheena. She is very ill just now shes in the vets over night on a drip with suspected Addisons desease. Im very very worried. I just hope both you and me get some good news. Take care. THey are very loyal loving dogs.

Isaac has always been a clown at heart. he has always been out going and friendly. He has a scabby nose due to auto immune which never ouite heals. His mum is nearly 14 and not much longer to go.Thankyou to everyone who is trying to help.
