Heres the post from joeys Legacy Boxer Rescue FB page

Here is the news you have all been waiting for!
Hope the stray is now safe after over a month on the streets! MASSIVE thanks to Manda and Carla at Millstream Animal Rescue who have spent endless hours looking for this girl, also our coordinator Lynda who has also spent days on end searching and trying to trap her, and all our volunteers who have braved the dark and cold to help with the search and rescue attempts, a big thanks to Steve who has let us use his land and hang about and also to Angela who finally enclosed her at the farm, we are all SOO relieved that this girl is now safe!! I wish i could name and thank you all individually, im sorry if i have missed anyone out but every bit of help has been really appreciated and it all paid off in the end! Hope is doing well, she is very tired and frightened, but she has enjoyed some dinner (and had a bit of a fry up!) and is now sleeping off her adventure!

We saw the dog yesterday when we where walking our dogs, it was in Daisy Nook on the path that follows the edge of the farms fields. We had been aware of her already so kept the dogs back to see if she would let me come near but she scarpered into the field then we could see her in the fields watching us but she wouldn't come back over. She moved somewhere we couldn't see her then. I'm happy to help looking for her as live close to the area. Hope she's found soon!Last edited: 2013-02-19 07:29:27 by Angus

Such good people....hope this girl is safe soon xx

A trap has been bought for this girl by two lovely patrons of Boxer Rescue Liverpool and volunteers will be travelling up Friday to place it. I have sent the advice re setting the trap. Fingers crossed.

There was one sighting last night but she scarpered quick and wasn't seen again :( Searchers will be out again this evening but a little lower key, too many is not always a good idea. This girl is being fed by a couple of people locally and I think it will be a case of gaining her trust.

Thanks jobadger, don't think DL Wales have their own trap. They lent one recently from someone local for the husky but its just too far to get it over here :(

Heavy snowfall in this area today, lets hope they have more luck tonight.

How did the search go last night ???? Any new sightings ??? xx
jobadger
Ask Goldenfrodo - I'm sure DL Wales have a trap. xx

As I am in Surrey it is too far away for me to help.

When you are searching tonight bear in mind that the dog may be deaf as a lot of white boxers are.
Wishing you good luck - i'll be thinking of you!

Joey Legacy (Boxer Rescue Liverpool) and helping and advising on the search. I myself am unable to help out tonight :(

Does anyone know if there is a trap in the area that we could loan?

Help needed tonight from 6:30pm in the Clough area of Ashton Under Lyne. Search party organised to help catch a stray white boxer girl, she is very scared and has been out there for over 2 weeks now, a farmer has also said he will shoot her if she comes near his livestock.

If anyone local can help please get in touch with Sarah on the above number.
