8 years ago . . . we lost you Roxy 😢
We hope you’ve been happy; with a loving family that has given you a good life

It’s the ‘not knowing’ that plays on your mind so much 🤔 Hopefully one day you’ll be scanned; a vet will call to say you’ve been OK!!

If you have Roxy or know where she is. If she’s happy, loved, settled, please let us know - that’s all we ask for

Sorry that Roxy is still missing. But miracles can, and have happened on this site. As Staffordhshire Bull Terrier posted on here as stolen, was found about EIGHT years later, and had been well looked after; reunited via his "Chip" So you nevcer know. Your dad didn`t let Roxy down and has absolutely nothing to feel guilty about, but the thief should; sadly they don`t.
Keep sharing. Post a STOLEN DOG ad with the circumstances of how Roxy went missing in a National newspaper too. If anyone reading this had any idea of whre Roxy could be, please contact one of the above numbers. The owmer of Roxy would just like to know if she is happy, and content. They have no intention of taking her away fron a lovimg home. Please help, if you can, it will help mend some broken
hearts. THANK YOU X.

Roxy - 7 years have passed since you were lost . . .
You'd be 9 years old

I wish we knew where you were; who you are living with, just that you are safe and happy - no questions, no claiming

If anyone knows anything, please let us know.
It broke my dad's heart the 'not knowing', thinking that he'd let you down.

It would mean the world to us to know where you are

One day!!!!

Without wishing to raise your hopes, I saw a long haired GSD last night at around 18:25 in New Years Green Lane in Harefield, UB9. The dog was scavenging in a fly tip for food, and drinking from puddles. I stopped and tried to ctach the dog but very nervous ran off along road and ducked under gate into field after Big Red site. Tried calling on footpath opposite Pond farm but nothing. Couldn't ascertain gender or whether dog was wearing collar, quite scruffy but appeared in good health and could certainly run! Not a great area for a stray dog for a number of reasons I'll keep my eye out whilst walking my dog.

It's 2 Years today since Roxy got loose - we still look for her every day when driving around, so do many other people that we have been lucky enough to come across in our travels. We've been very lucky and had massive support both physically and on Facebook and Twitter and made many new like-minded friends.
After this length of time we are hoping that Roxy is somewhere safe, being loved and is happy, with a new family - we JUST NEED TO KNOW!
Please if anyone has any information, it would really help our family to get on with things without wondering every single day . . .
Again, thank you to everyone that has helped us xxx

Karen, having read through a lot of the posts below, I think it is very possible Roxy is still out there possiblly living with someone, without being checked for a chip. At some point, she may well escape or find herself in a situation where she will need to be scanned. So, what I am saying is even though it is getting on for two years, with a chip, it is possible she may find herself back home at some point. You really never know what goes on with our dogs out there and many times we do see miracles and very strange things that somehow lead our dogs back to home. Keep hope alive. No matter what, she is always your Roxy, wherever she may be. God bless. x

Hello everyone - Another cheeky request - we are desperately trying to help another owner find their Old English Sheepdog Puppy - 9 Months Old
Seamus's Owners are an elderly couple and are not on the computer, unable to use Facebook and Twitter. Their neighbour is taking on a lot and keeping on searching on-line as well as physically out and about with the owners themselves.

Is anyone else able to read up on Seamus's page please and offer any support - we are just too far away, but supporting on-line wherever we can.

My farrier found a very thin young German Shepherd bitch in Headley, Surrey on Tuesday. Very nervous and running away from others but he managed to call her and she got in his van. Not microchipped or collared and riddled with fleas plus has a swollen left leg. She will run if a door is left open but found her again today at a neighbouring yard. Have pics, very sweet and very vocal. Can't imagine she's this missing dog as we are 1.5 hr at least from uxbridge but thought i'd post anyway.

I am very pleased to announce that with the help of a lovley local Man this stray GSD has been captured and is now in the trap and safe with Ray the trapper - will update further once we have the full story - please do not comment on this page as I will be setting up a new page for the found one shortly

APOLOGIES - I have been at work all day - she has been seen near the trap oday so hopefully it will not be too long now - I understand that there is a post somewhere on facebook page with people trying to organise going out to catch her - please if anyone sees the post can they please remind the posters that last time his was attempted she got chased into the road and struck by a car - next time she may not survive .... I believe we are gaining her trust slowly - she seems to be staying safe on the road when left to her own devices just hope that this continues until she is ready to go in the trap

Hi eveybody. I am a local wing girl living in dunstable currently. Have excellant knowledge of village and also have my own GSD. Happy to help in any way we can. Just back in - we have seen the dog today which is good news - it is injured but getting about - we also had reports of a RTA dog on this section of road - we have covered this area on foot and in vehicles with fogs and main beam on & police are investigating this report for us too as we can find no sign of a dog along the whole section from Wing back to the bypass - traps are baited and assigned helpers checking the area

Hi, Now Police involved could they not be asked to put slow down signs on all roads into Wing
ClaireC
Hi all, I and hubbyhave just come back from searching the entire area. As we were leaving having searched ditches front gardens the dog was reported sighted away from the Main A418. I was informed it is walking OK and may only have just been clipped. I have left the police who are both driving around where it has been seen and also a GSD dog trainer and also owner. Myself, and a trap and trapper will be up there tomorrow morning to set up a trap and one feeding station away from the main road area. Please let us get this up and running for the safety of the dog and of course other road users. I am happier to know that this dog is not lying injured in a ditch and that the police are out looking. I or Angus Coord will update when we know more. I can say that this dog is NOT Roxy it is smaller, and much younger. It is very timid though of people and will not get too near hence the trap. Please bear with us.Last edited: 2013-12-04 22:08:35 by ClaireC

I have a location of where the dog was hit - again I don't want hoards of people but if anyone has powerful torches and company and can search the fields opposite the area where it was hit please contact Claire or email me ( sandiehay@aol.com )
and I will try to direct - I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH though that this dog must not be chased as it may try to cross the main road again - we do not know exactly which direction it ran off in but Claire and husband have searched driveways and ditches in the immediate vicinity but a hit dog can run on adrenaline for quite a while even when injured
Lizzie & Monty's mum
I have just read reports on a local selling site of a dog being hit by a car in wing today. It has run off but it sounds as if it may be the same dog. People on the same site are posting comments about coming to look for it tomorrow. I have previously added a comment about leaving it to you guys but it seems to be falling on deaf ears.
DogLostAngus
DLV Claire has been out most of the day & managed to feed and throw a ball for the sighted dog but it would not allow her to get close - there are feeding stations set up ready for the trap to go down so PLEASE don't leave food as we are trying to ensure the dog returning to the correct place - again if you see please post or text claire on the number below with timings and direction of travel

She is 99% certain that this dog is NOT Roxy - Appearing to be younger and slighter in build but has some photos which we will send on to Karen later once they are downloaded

Everything crossed that DL can get this doggie to a safe place x

I've had calls this morning and now this afternoon - this dog has been in Moorlands today too - thank you to everyone again!!
funkydawgi
Afternoon people just got off phone to friend who lives in Wing & she saw "Roxy" yesterday at 3pm in Moorlands which is not so far from Wantage Cres. Have asked her to ring/text me when next sighting, so have mobiles at the ready!!!!
ClaireC
Hi Lizzie if you or anybody sees this dog please alert me on 07887652916. Thank you for looking out for it x
Lizzie & Monty's mum
He/she was spotted again last night on Wantage Crescent so still in the area.
DogLostAngus
For the feeding station to work we need this area to remain fairly normal and not full of people trying to out or catch the dog - if you want to help please contact Roxy's owner to offer help but at the moment it may be just a case of sitting in a car and observing not actually searching - there are some really busy roads here and we do not want to flush the dog out onto this road system

I have just travelled back from Aylesbury to MK via Wing and had a little drive around - didn't see anything this evening
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Hi - had lots and lots of contact from some really lovely people in the Wing area - thank you so much for letting us know of all of the sightings.
Claire and I have now formulated a plan. We need to let this poor dog settle back down in the area - with quite a few people looking and calling her (or him) we may have frightened it and we desperately want it to stay and not move on, so that it can be caught and brought to safety. I've just asked all the local people, as Claire has below, to just call me or her when this dog is sighted again so that we can put our plan in action.

Again, to everyone, thank you, we really really appreciate your help. Lets hope the next piece of news is that we have got this Shep to safety - Roxy or any other xxx
ClaireC
Oh dear. This might not even be Roxy and might just belong to someone else who doesn't know about Doglost helping to reunite owners with their pets and may just chase this dog away from this area. Please if there is anyone thinking along these lines of going out to search for this very frightened dog let us get our plan into operation where we are confident that it will succeed for the safety of the dog.
Lizzie & Monty's mum
Have just read on another FB site that two ladies are on their way to Wing to try & catch the dog.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
I live about 15 mins away, so let me know if you need any help x
ClaireC
With the best intentions for this dog, who we don't know for definite that this is Roxy, there is a plan in hand to try to encourage this dog in. Please, please please don't flood the area as this may frighten her away . I will update you as soon as I know more hopefully tomorrow evening. Thank you.
Mollie & Will's Mum
There is a lot going on on the DL Facebook site for Bucks and Beds. Here's a copy of my post there:

"Back from my brief sortie to MK via Wing. I postered with the new Roxy posters Karen, around the area of the sightings (Wantage Crescent, Scout Hut & Moorhill Rd), & where dog walkers come and go through neighbouring fields Also put one in the chippy and londis. I spoke to quite a few people who took copies of poster and agreed to spread the word, including the postman. The Scout hut is small, & well kept with no land - the gate was locked, but I left a poster pinned to it, and in their mailbox. It didn't look as though there was anywhere for the dog to hide out at the Scout Hut itself and it is surrounded by houses so unlikely I would say. My hunch, and main concern, is that the dog is hiding out somewhere on the allotments south of the A418, and is crossing over the road to get to the above areas. I guess the dog's need for food is greater than it's fear, so now is the time to get the trap going with some tasty treats in! If we can get a little team together we can do shifts watching the trap? I've not heard anything from Julie about the trap at Appledown, have you heard anything Sandie Robertson? "

ClaireC
I now have 2 very nice ladies who are setting up a feed stations. May I please say with the greatest respect that it would not be particularly helpful for a lot of people to start chasing this dog but rather please phone Karen or even me if you cannot get an answer from Karen's fone as she works on 07887652916 with any sightings. I and one other hope to be in the immediate area to set up these 2 feeding stations in a secure area where the dog is being seen. Would like to see this dog in from the cold and the weather is not looking favourable in the next few days.

Thank you Claire, Gino
Really appreciate your help here and thanks to all the local people who have alerted us.
We really appreciate the information.

Even if it's not Roxy - this GSD needs to be got to safety.

Karen xx
ClaireC
Hi All, Karen and I have now spoken and made contact with one of the sighters. This very nice lady has agreed to set up a feeding station as the dog seems to like her garden which is always helpful. Not wanting to rush over there at this stage as this dog is very very frightened as runs if people go to near. It is hoped that he/she will become a bit more trusting if visits to the feeding station happen. Will keep you all informed. Thank you for alerting us x

Another lady, Davina, has also just seen this GSD about an hour ago:

Moorhill Road, disappeared down the alley way that leads into Wantage Crescent

Time also about 2.30ish.

Hi - I've just had a call about this dog - a lady called Sue was standing looking at the dog - it's a young GSD, has been around for approx 48 hours going in and out of the bins. Others are trying to catch it.

Just 5 minutes ago (2.30pm) this dog was in this location:

Ridgeway, Wing LU7

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=wing+LU7&ie=UTF-8&ei=YOudUtqlOoqBhAfz1oGQBA&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAg

If anyone is in the area that could possibly help to catch this GSD that would be amazing.

It may or may not be our Roxy, we've asked people to take a photo just to see if we can recognise, but will share this new info on Facebook GSD site etc now too.

Anyone in the area - please let us know if you see anything - thank you Karen (Roxy's sister) xxx
ClaireC
Mollie's Mum Which "smallish" area of Wing are you referring to please? It might be that I can at least get out that way this afternoon as well. My husband has just reminded that there is a TS site down the old airfield road and this dog could possibly have come from there.Last edited: 2013-12-03 13:14:40 by ClaireC

Hi Claire, yes I think this could be the same dog .Also might be the same dog that was spotted months ago still on the run :-/
ClaireC
Hi Aunt Steph I have a feeling that this is the dog that has been reported before which was seen following the canal route. As Wing is quite a big village, and I know it well) does anybody know whereabouts this dog was seen in it. Karen if you are free I can go over with you Wed to have a look around. This GSD sighting could very well be Roxy who has been missing for 9 months now. Here is the post from Facebook about the sighting :
There is a young German shepherd loose in Wing, LU7. It is mostly tan with a little black on it. First spotted last Wednesday/Thursday. It is thin and scared. A friend tried to encourage it to come to him but it was having none of it.
Anyone in this area please keep a look out for this poor dog. If spotted ,a photo of the dog would be really helpful. Thank you. X

Thank you very much Claire and Vicki - I just checked out this poor baby and I've been sharing her on FB today too - she has very different markings to Roxy, but we really appreciate you let us know to check her out. I thought it was terribly sad this morning when I first saw her and thought she must have been 'left' there, but poor angel, to perhaps have had pups and then been left - some people are monsters!!!
Again, thank you very much for alerting us xxx
ClaireC
Hi VickiP I think Roxy was spayed but I will alert Karen to this found one. Thank you.

Bracknell Forest Council list this girl as not being chipped, but the chips do travel so I don't want to rule it out: Is this your dog? This female German Shepherd was found in Bracknell town centre yesterday afternoon. We're trying to locate her owner. Unfortunately, she has no collar, tag or microchip. Angus, totally agree. Absolute tragedy. Just don't understand why they are drawn to motorways?? Roxy did it twice two in the first week of looking. Why don't they have road sense?

Sadly on two accounts this wasn't Roxy! My friend just had a call from the HA, it was another Shep that had escaped from woodland nearer to Jct 16 than 17. Sadly this dog didn't make it home but the owners were there and were devastated. RIP M25 Shep, so sorry for the owners xxx

Thank you for bumping Roxy - we've joined the facebook DogLost Milton Keynes, have followed and shared the posts, messaged the person who first put on this page, but no concrete info. Our friend has rung round highways agency, local councils etc. yesterday and I rang police 101 last night - still no trace of these dogs. We believe that there was a Roxy looking GSD and a smaller white/brown dog too. Have contacted a couple of local kennels, will check Battersea too today when they open. Thank you all!!! Just need to know and if it's not Roxy - someone locally following us, may recognise these dogs to get them home . . . .

Thank you all so much for still viewing Roxy's details! We are still doing everything we can think of to publicise her disappearance and keep her in everyone's minds.

Have heard a really amazing story today - a young lad found the skeleton of a dog in Rickmansworth - he knew about Roxy apparently and then noticed a shiny object - the micro chip. This was taken to a vets, scanned and turned out to be another breed, not our girlie. We are really sorry for the family of the other dog that they now know is no longer with us, BUT the chip really has worked and hopefully given them that an end to that 'not knowing' although so very sad. RIP beautiful dog.

NOW - COULD WE POSSIBLY ASK ANOTHER HUGE FAVOUR OF YOU LOVELY PEOPLE THAT ARE SO KINDLY STILL CHECKING FOR OUR GIRL:

We have been in contact with two other Missing Dog's families - one is LILY, a beautiful Brindle Boxer, missing from RUISLIP WOODS and the other is BLUE, a really stunning White German Shepherd, STOLEN from Bracknell.

Please could you take a look and share on Facebook and those of you local that still walk the local area here, keep Lily's owners number in your phones just in case . . . .

Hello, sorry we haven't been posting on here for a while. It's been a very turbulent 6 months. Firstly Balloo, our 11 year old GSD died, hence rescuing Roxy to try to keep Jedi, our 7 year old GSD, company, he missed him so much . . .
Then Roxy going missing and now we have had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy, Jedi. Mum and Dad felt that he was too sick to go on any more. Hopefully he'll be running free with Balloo, up there somewhere - RIP, our beautiful boys! xxx

We do however feel that we need to mark the anniversary of Roxy going missing - it's 6 Months today.

Please don't forget our girl, we haven't heard anything new at all, although we still surf the net all the time and have some amazing people countrywide keeping their eyes open and sending us links of dogs to check out.

We now all feel that Roxy is living somewhere with someone who doesn't know that she's missing. Could it be an elderly neighbour, someone who doesn't use the internet, people visiting our area . . .

Could we ask a massive favour please - if you could possibly download either the Poster from this DogLost site or mine, from DropBox link below, could you please forward to anyone you think may come in contact with animals - vets, pet shops, anywhere really. I'm also renewing our plea for you to print out and put in the back of your cars, if you don't mind.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/110335403/LOST%20DOG%20-%20ROXY_6%20months.pdf

Dad still gets stopped and asked if she's been found. People are still looking for her, but we really think she isn't loose now. Perhaps if someone sees a poster in a car, taxi, bus, post office van, lorry, police car???? Maybe they'd remember that they'd seen her somewhere.

Seriously though, if she was happy somewhere and being well looked after, Mum and Dad would consider leaving her there. It is just not knowing whether she is safe, being fed and is happy, that is killing!!! We all need to know that she is OK.

Thank you for your continued support and help - EVERYONE!

Hello!

Sorry haven't written for a while now. No update at all on Roxy. She's been missing for over 5 months now - gutted that we have no news of her. Can only hope and pray that somebody has found her and is looking after her well. I find it hard to believe that there could be anyone who hadn't heard of her being missing in our area, but maybe there is someone with no computer access??
Believe me, we are still checking all found GSDs, websites selling and rehoming too. We also appear to have the most amazing number of followers on here, FB and Twitter. Not only people keeping their eyes open for us, but people e-mailing, running around, phoning round at every opportunity.

Once again, Thank you to everyone for continued help and support.

I have just been talking about this with Jayne. She suggested that Honey's people might be asked if they can put a coloured bandanna on her so if she escapes in future we can distinguish her from Roxy and from any other sheps in the area. Roxy may have lost her collar at some point during her wanderings, she may even have been taken in and escaped again. A few dogs on this site have been found running round with completely different collars on from when they went missing, so it does happen. There is also - I hate to say it - the possibility that the dog seen this morning is yet another dog who isn't either of them.
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
Lost dogs often lose their collars one way or another, so please don't assume a collerless dog is not yours. Good luck this seems to ba 50/50 shot, paws and fingers crossed here.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Hi Jayne, thank you if that was you that left a message this morning (I was in the shower!)
Rang the security guard straight away as he also left a message on my phone . . . . The dog he saw was all matted and dirty, no collar, which is strange - Roxy did have a very thick leather collar with silver flower patterned studs on. Maybe she's lost weight and it has come off??

He didn't keep hold of her, although he said that she was very friendly and came to him - also not a Roxy trait - she was very very nervous and has run every time that anyone has approached her.
Maybe, if it is her, she wants to give herself up??

Barbara, one of our lovely 'Team Roxy' searchers, is going over there now.

We had been alerted to this area before about 2 weeks ago. We all searched and ran out every time there was a sighting - it was the right area, just about a mile or so from where she went missing.

Two of our Team found out that there is a couple living down the same road as the Water Treatment plant, they have an identical dog, who gets out of their garden and wanders.

Barbara has now been and spoken with the owners of this 'wandering' dog and they said she did get out this morning. Although not 'matted' she did have muddy feet as described by the security guard.
She also had a heavy chain collar, which may have been missed by the guard??

We aren't ruling this out as a Roxy sighting, but there is a good chance that this was 'Honey' the escapee!!!

Just in case it is Roxy, if you are in the area, please keep an eye open for us - we now have this lady's phone number and can call immediately we are alerted to the dog in the area again and she can advise if her's is home!!!! (which it should be - I am cross that she is allowing this to happen, especially as she was told about it before, it could cause an accident, be stolen or run off, get lost)

I’ve just been to speak to the security guard and the owner of the GSD that lives practically next door. The owner is pretty certain it would have been her dog that the watchman saw. They are trying to stop her from roaming, but she seems to be a bit of an escape artist. After being let out in the garden this morning, the dog reappeared with wet and muddy legs, that she certainly didn’t get from just being in the garden. She is a lovely friendly dog, who is perhaps slightly less golden than Roxy in colouring but with a good resemblance to Roxy’s pictures otherwise.

A couple of anomalies: the watchman described the dog as being dishevelled and having muddy legs, also no collar. When I saw her, Honey did have wet legs and muddy feet but otherwise is in immaculate condition. She also does wear a distinctive very large link metal coppery coloured collar. She is pretty hairy round the neck though, so it’s likely the guard could have missed it and I don’t think he’s too familiar with dogs. I’ve been back and described the collar to him so he knows to look out for that if she reappears. The behaviour of the dog that the watchman described, also doesn’t really ring true for that of a nervous dog that’s been on the run for over 3 months. We now have a contact number for the owner who is happy for us to call if there are any more sightings in that area so she can confirm her dog’s whereabouts.

So disappointed, but I’m 99% sure this wasn’t Roxy.

Sadly the dog found & held in Staffs is not thought to be Roxy. Although the head looks similar the body type & colouring does not match that of Roxy.
Thanks for the queries & postings though everyone. All potentials are thoroughly checked out & appreciated.

Karen, thank you for your notes, I'll contact the dog warden as well about the dog you mention. Please be careful if you do see loose GSD in Hemel as it may be Roxy, but there was an aggressive dog loose too a couple of weeks ago that killed another dog.

Thank you Barney n Ozzie's mum, keep seeing your comments, thank you, my friend Danielle here looked into this dog for us and has kept us up to date.

Thank you Danielle, really appreciate your help, I can't keep up, you're a star!

There's definitely a dog out there, praying that it is Roxy this time. Thank you for all your help.

Hi, the dog found today is a duplicate of Charlie 52703. This is the dog that went missing in Tring last Friday, it was found on Saturday but unfortunately the status on the site has only just been updated. We thought the dog seen on Sunday on the canal must have been Charlie but as she was home safe by then it now appears it may have been Roxy or another nervous GSD that is allowed to freely roam? Are there any Dog Wardens or people on the site that know the Marston area that can help us? It would be great to know if there are there any local GSD's in this area that match Roxy's description just to rule out this sighting. The dog was seen on the side of the canal that does not have a tow path between locks 41 & 42, it was very nervous and jumped a fence into a horse field to get away from the person who saw it.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
There's a female gsd on today's found page - just says found in South East, and listed as Charlie. Don't know if that's the dog's name? No photo unfortunately.
karen
I put this on facebook and got this comment back from a friend ++++++I saw it on Saturday morning about 10.45, near the traveller site, across from m and s depot on cherry trees lane. My sister n law saw it on Nicky line on fri tea time too. Seemed nervous. Sort of presumed it was from traveller site as they often have dogs off lead around there. It was from the car so I can't be sure if its the same dog but it was a German shepherd type dog wandering near the bushes." This in Hemel Hempstead/ Industrial area. IT may be a travellers dog? But worth mentioning I will have a drive around later.

Hi Geny, nothing at all since last week and the sighting of the other dog that we thought was Roxy - don't know what area she's disappeared to at all - absolutely nothing!!!

DISAPPOINTED!!!!
We have just had news from Christine Cullen and Barbara White, our friends who were out this afternoon in Maple Lodge Close . . .

THIS DOG ISN'T ROXY!! Unfortunately, the man who lives in the House directly opposite the cut through to the playing fields, has an identical GSD which he lets out ON ITS OWN to go across to the fields.

So this must be the dog that we have had sightings of in this road . . . .

Thank you to everyone who helped us, Barbara who flew out with Russ and I to try to see her last night in rubbish weather, to Lisa, Sharon & Hubby, Nikki, Barbara (again) and Christine today who went out looking at different times and met Mum and Dad and the Boys too. Really appreciate all the help and support, thank you!!!!!

Thank you to all the people who 'virtually' helped us by throwing locations, suggestions of places to poster, phone numbers etc. whilst we were out yesterday too. All a great help.

So this takes us back to the 2 sightings before this:

- POSSIBLE SIGHTING ON A412 - 8pm Bank Holiday Monday - the Man that saw her (possibly) here, mentioned her thick collar before I mentioned it, so we think this could have been her. The dog mentioned above doesn't wear a collar!

- POSSIBLE SIGHTING Narcot Way, Chalfont St Giles - 9.45pm last Friday night

Come on Roxy - you have to be somewhere!!!!

Thank you - Karen, Geoff, Jackie & the Boys xx

Hi everyone, I've just been looking at the map and seen how easily Roxy could get back to the canal through the sewage works. I'm not able to walk far due to a slipped disc, but it would be great if some people could check the canal as well as the area's around the sightings, as she seems to be zipping up and down it like crazy at the moment :)

Hi, new sighting today at 5.25pm. Maple Lodge Close off A412 going towards Maple Cross from Denham. This road has field on one side, Chalfont Sports & Social Club, small residential area' Lake and River. Maybe she'll have come out for the dustbin bags tonight.

Will check it out first think

Busy week: lots of possible Roxy sightings - nothing definite though . . .

Last Saturday there was a suggestion of her being in Denham Car Boot Sale Fields, then Monday night on A412 by West Hyde.
Friday night a friend's daughter saw a German Shepherd lying down in the fields adjacent to the A40 slip road to Denham Roundabout.
This would suggest that perhaps Roxy has come back to more familiar surroundings!

Today we received 3 phone calls:

A lady saw a German Shepherd or Wolf like dog in Narcot Way, Chalfont St Giles, opposite number 22.

Another gentleman rang and said that he thought there was a dog coming into his farm overnight, chasing his farm cat around his outside office, eating stored cat food. This was Copse Hill Farm, Willets Lane, Denham/Iver, Bucks.

Finally another gentleman said that he thought he'd seen Roxy by the side of the canal by Denham Lock today at about 2.30pm

All have been checked out, but no sign . . .

With so many possibilities, could we please ask you all to continue looking everywhere around for us.
If you could put our number in your phones under Roxy - 07774 724 797, we'd really appreciate any further sighting information please.

Thank you very much to everyone who has contacted us, to those that continue to look out for Roxy for us and to those who have changed their routes and are making special extra journeys to look for our girl.

We cannot thank you enough xxxx

Hi All

Another possible Roxy sighting:

9.45pm, Friday night, Narcott Way, Chalfont St Giles, Bucks. Roxy, 'a Wolf' or a GSD by back gates of a house . . . opposite no. 22.

Lady saw it, thought it odd, waited to take her little dogs out later. Daughter in law came to collect her dogs following day and when mentioned, said she'd seen Roxy's Poster!!

Am spreading around as I can't get out until later xxx

Hi Karen, I understand. I look daily on the way home from work, as I come past Maple Cross, and down the A40 through Denham towards Ruislip. WMy boyfriend and I will take a walk this weekend and let you know where. IS the prayer meeting place still in Denham by the canal you should leaflet there. It also might be worth speaking to the council, a they have had litter pickers all up the A40 by Denham, and spek to the department that cuts the grass by the A40, because its that time of year.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Hi Mishybird, thank you so much for the offer!
We've taken advice from the DogLost and other professional dog people that are helping us and it has been suggested that we don't do a full scale search as we did before.
Firstly we don't know where Roxy is, but also, as she very nervous of people, too much of a gathering would probably make her move on further afield.
What we are asking people to do if they are offering help, is to walk areas that's she's been seen. Denham Country Park, along the Canal from there towards Harefield. Around HOAC, off Harvill Road, by Dogs Trust and behind there.
More recently if that was our girl on A412 in West Hyde, then fields either side from Denham to Maple Cross. Finally the lakes and canal areas by the Coy Carp and Black Jacks Mill.
If you can post areas you've looked or text /FB me, that would be amazing.
Thank you. We just request as many eyes at different times to hopefully get a sighting again.
Thank you so much.

Just calculated how long it's taken Roxy to do her approx 5 mile journey from Pollards Wood to West Hyde and it works out roughly half a mile a day she's been travelling. So, from her last sighting at West Hyde she MAY have done about 1.5 miles by this evening.

Here's a radius map for 1.5 miles but please don't take it as gospel, just a possibility based on her last journey and also that it's only for today. Use the arrows & +/-tabs to look around and zoom in as it loses the radius if you click on it.
http://www.freemaptools.com/radius-around-point.htm?clat=51.61364636258747&clng=-0.5136966705322266&r=2.41&lc=FFFFFF&lw=1&fc=00FF00

Remember, she could have been round in circles and done more miles, so don't discount more mileage.Last edited: 2013-05-09 10:31:05 by Lynne

Hi Geny

She isn't being kept anywhere. I did have some information that she may have been caught and this has now proven to be not the case. As far as we know she is loose somewhere between Denham and Beaconsfield, could be anywhere now judging by her past behaviour.

**** JUST OVER 11 WEEKS MISSING ****
After ages of no sightings at all we do feel that we have some positive leads on Roxy's whereabouts. Thank you to everyone who rang having seen the Sainsburys Poster in Beaconsfield (thank you Nikki for putting it up for us). The area that she was seen was as below:

POSSIBLE ROXY SIGHTING 8.30am THURSDAY MORNING (25th April) - WALKING ON A40 (on the Road) TOWARDS REFUSE SITE BETWEEN GERRARDS CROSS & BEACONSFIELD - Gerrards Cross to Beaconsfield direction

We have also since had a little information that she may be being 'kept' in that area and may just have escaped last Thursday - am checking this out now . . .

Please keep looking for her and listening for her - German Shepherds do have a distinctive bark - if you hear anything different in a certain area, please let us know.

Again, thank you so much for your help and information - here's hoping we really are closing in on her.

Article about Roxy gone in the Uxbridge Gazette this week. Facts & quotes not too good but it's in. Don't know if any of the other papers have put anything in this week. It's written from the 'psychic' angle about me getting Petrene Soames involved, and I know that's not everyone's cup of tea but I doubt it would've got published without it. It's 'interesting' as the reporter put it. It also says that everyone's still looking for her at the bottom of the article, so not leading people astray, just opening their minds. Lets hope Karen gets some calls with information/sightings as a result. xoxoLast edited: 2013-05-01 11:02:00 by Lynne

Its good to to know there have been sightings, perhaps someone could take phhoto if they see her. Its good she still in the area, not good she is using a40, however if she is that
nervous would she be out on a busy road? Where you saw the hair perhaps leaving a trail of food leading her towards a safe place, like an out building, away from the traffic and then maybe you could get her. Last edited: 2013-04-29 11:59:01 by missy

Hi Geny
We had people out looking in both Beaconsfield and Denham yesterday. The Car Boot is on a Saturday down there and people know all about her down there. She's a very nervous rescue dog, so think that the noise on that day would drive her away for a while, although this is about 200yds from where she actually ran away.

Thanks for your help answering Helen - Roxy went originally from Denham to Gerrards Cross, then back to Harefield/Denham area, so it is possible that she can move this distance. The big worry is that she's actually using the road rather than the fields alongside the road to move at the moment it appears!!

The Hotel that she was seen outside was The Bellhouse in between Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield - heading towards the Household refuse site.

We did walk all around that area yesterday - found a little hair that could have been a dogs, blonde in colour . . . perhaps her undercoat??

Anyway, thanks to Nikki, a kind friend, who postered Beaconsfield Sainsbury's this week and got us our new sighting!!

PLEASE PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN - DENHAM, GERRARDS CROSS, BEACONSFIELD A40 main road, fields by side of the road, any eating places that put food out either in bins or where litter is left. Maybe she is scavenging for food near built up areas and living in the fields/woods????

If anyone lives out that way in some of the large farm areas with outbuildings that are left open, please check them for us for any signs of Roxy. She liked sleeping in the Garage . . . Maybe she creeps in there at nights?

Again, thank you for the comments and help - all really appreciated!!!

Hi Geny, I just checked google, and it's 4.1 miles from Denham car boot sale to Gerrards Cross, and 9 miles to Beaconsfield, but she (hopefully it's Roxy) was seen just past the Bell Hotel, which is just past Gerrards Cross. She seems to be moving about in roughly a 5 mile radius using the canal and the A40, and because of all the sightings in that radius there's probably a very good chance that she did double back to Denham.
missy
good luck for today, Is there a boot sale there today? Perhaps walking round the fields in Denham or sitting there for a few hours after dark or early evening. Both sightings seem to be a few days ago, is it it possible for her to have got from near beaconsfield back to Denham fields, I am not sure of the area so don't know how far it is.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Thank you Geny!

Claire, went in there today and they've all know about Roxy since she went missing. They haven't seen a scavenging dog, but then they said she may be out after they finish . . .

We're off out tomorrow morning early to see if we can spot anything that would suggest she's around.

Have also had info that a GSD was seen a couple of days ago in Denham Car Boot Sale fields. Please, if you are in this area, keep your eyes open for us here still. We will be checking out Gerrards Cross / Beaconsfield

Thank you, Karen & family xxx

Wish you good luck with this sighting. did anyone give you a good description of the dog, its a shame they could not have caught her, although if she is so nervous she may not go to anyone.

Thank you for still looking and keeping eyes open for Roxy. I did go out and meet with the person who caught this dog, listed as 51627 on Dogs Found. She called me and said that she had Roxy. Unfortunately it wasn't her, which was unbelievable as within half a mile of where she went missing, if that. We were both gutted - what are the chances of another loose GSD in such close proximity.

Oh well, next time maybe xx

Anyone seen if there's anything in the Harefield Gazette? Nothing in the Uxbridge one.
A bit more info from Petrene: The man that she sees with Roxy is wearing wellingtons, she said, but not normal ones, work boots. He has a lightly tanned skin. She doesn't feel that he is totally British but may have been here a long time as he speaks very good English.
He works 12 miles AWAY from his HOME and goes there most days but not office or retail.

i wish you all the best in your search, advice does seem conflicting, however best just to keep it in the back of your mind, Hemel hempstead is more than 4 miles away. The last sighting in Hemel hempstead, seen by wardens is really promising, like you said it would explain why she has not been seen in Denham and if she follows the canal it is possible she has gone that way. do the wardens know the condition of the dog as they saw her? Are you planning anymore searches over that way or beyond, she may have moved on again, Where would she go if she was following the canal, perhaps postering those areas, so that you are one step ahead. Was she living with a family in Essex?

After the Radio Show today we were advised of the following:

She feels Roxy is in a 4 mile radius from area of loss
Sometimes in a house but also in a shed but out in a back yard
With a man who perhaps has a partner
Roxy is waiting for an opportunity to sneak out
In a row of houses rather than an estate
Near a canal or river
Man works within a 12 mile radius
Advice is to poster ,advertise in the area as much as possible & it’s only a matter of time.

I would just like to add though that another Gent in UK has said that he's been able to 'reach Roxy' and she's scavenging and loose . . . . He was drawn towards Beaconsfield area!

With conflicting information being given to us, could we please please ask everyone to keep an eye open around all local areas, going out as far as Beaconsfield, the Chalfonts, Ruislip, Northwood, Iver etc.
We really don't know where she could have got to in the last 5 weeks . . . . Even investigating the sighting of an Alsatian listed yesterday, near to where she used to live in Essex - anything's possible!

Thank you all again for reading xxx

Item on Roxy on BBC Three Counties Radio TODAY on Roberto Peronne's show approx 4.30pm. They'll be talking to Petrene Soames, the Psychic who's helping to find her.

You can listen in live here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/threecountiesradio

Please share this info on Twitter, facebook etc, everyone. Petrene has 'seen' some things but I don't want to say until she's finsished whatever she's doing and sure of what her findings are. They MAY be revealed this afternoon, I don't know. She's 6hrs behind us so I haven't communicated since late last night. Everything crossed for clues. xoxo
P.S. Gave Dog Lost a plug but whether they say anything is another matter, also for another item on stolen dogs.Last edited: 2013-04-23 13:46:28 by Lynne

You can't discount anything. At least Roxy's old owners can keep an eye out as the dog is on their patch. I've tweeted about it anyway and will do again in the morning. See if anything comes back. xoxo

Hi Lynne
Thank you for all your help in getting more publicity and for contacting Petrene.
We have already done the 4 miles around Denham Country Park and further, but will draw it all out properly and make sure tomorrow, thank you.

Today there has been an Alsatian seen in Essex - could this be Roxy? Is there a chance that she could have made it back to her previous owners? Just a thought - the dog listed on this site is very close to where she used to live:
http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=51498

Any thoughts please?

Thank you

On the subject of psychics, Petrene Soames, as seen on tv, is now on board Team Roxy. Among lots of other things, she is a pet psychic who I had the pleasure of working with years ago.
Petrene is a busy lady but will probably look into things today but a thought which she had as she came away from her pc after emailing me was to expand our area to 4 miles radius of Denham Country Park. Have helpers been alerted in these areas? I think we have to act on any information we get like this but also keep our minds open. It's not easy finding missing beings psychically or there'd be no missing people anywhere but any clues are most welcome.

Fantastic, thank you very much Lynne!

Thank you Riverlady! Twitter seems to be working well for us too.
In fact we had someone yesterday say that on 15th April they saw a GSD like Roxy in Letchworth, Herts SG6 area . . . Word is spreading, even out to there! It's a long way away, but may be possible, so if anyone is in that area, please keep our Roxy in mind.

We went over to Hemel Hempstead on Saturday to see whether we could see the loose GSD that Sean and the Warden were telling us about last week. We postured the area and spoke with car Boot sale people. Too noisy I think on Saturday for a nervous dog to stick around. Maybe she'll be seen this week and be our Roxy or be caught and returned to her proper home. Fingers crossed!

Another bit of information that has come to us is from a psychic gentleman: She is still alive, she's not with anyone, she's scavenging for food and is near Beaconsfield area . . . Thank you to Jackie and Barbara for helping us again and just on this 'feeling' they have now covered Beaconsfield with posters, just in case.

Again, thank you for all your help, comments and wishes. Here's hoping Roxy comes out to enjoy the sunshine and makes herself more visible to us xxx

Just sent articles to:
Bucks Free Press, Buckinghamshire Examiner, BBC Online Beds, Buck, Herts, Buckinghamshire Advertiser, Hillingdon Times, Uxbridge Gazette,BBC Three Counties Radio.

I don't know if they'll get accepted, especially if they've printed about Roxy before but worth a shot.
Really going for all publicity that we can get at the moment to get things buzzing again. If anyone does a newsletter to people in Middlesex, Bucks or Herts, please include a mention for Roxy - A very kind Dog Trainer, Graham, from Acot Dog Training, Uxbridge, wrote about Roxy in his newsletter, which meant that 150 extra local doggie people now keep their eyes open for her. Hopefully we'll get some good news this week, either about the dog in Hemel or a nearer sighting. Fingers Crossed. xoxo

P.S. Add Watford Observer, Hemel Gazette, Hertfordshire Mercury & The Herts Advertiser to list of newspapers contacted.Last edited: 2013-04-22 16:24:35 by Lynne

I really hope you find her, now that you have a clearer idea where she is. Is there anyone going down to search the area before the weekend? It would be a shame if she moved on before then. Maybe organising a search party over the weekend so that you have lots of people looking at one time. Wishing you loads of luck. I wish I was closer to help.

What about leaving some food in the field where this dog has been spotted on a regular basis at a regular time say early(ish) am. I appreciate that you could end up feeding a lot of wildlife but ....Last edited: 2013-04-17 20:53:55 by ClaireC

I will bump Roxy with this potential sighting. I so hope this is our girl.
If anyone does see her please could you try & take a photo even if it's as she is running away, as is very likely with dear Roxy. Thanks XX

Hi sdsolle - Will definitely message you if we come up that way - probably be the weekend now, but thank you very much for that. Don't know the area well at all, so could do with guidance . . .
Thank you very much for the update . . . As I have just updated the info on FB, someone has just tweeted it on my phone - think some people are as keen as we are to find her!!!
Again, thank you very much for your help xx

Claire / Geny - wouldn't it be good (and a miracle!!)

Thanks Karen xxx

Update: Just back from walking the route GSD was last seen without seeing a single other dog, BUT! ...

We met Sarah the dog warden & colleague in Piccotts End - they'd spotted the same GSD from yesterday, this time in the Grove Hill area (which is where Dodd's Lane leads to) - but again, they couldn't get near (despite a bag full of very tasty treats).
sdsolle
Hi Karen - you're very welcome. I've switched our walk to the area the GSD was spotted, in case he/she makes a reappearance. Have also followed @find_roxy on Twitter (same handle as on here) - if you do drive up here, please DM me!
missy
Good news, that there have been sightings, I really hope its her. as you said she may have followed he canal, maybe you could get ahead of her and drop posters off at the town ahead and surrounding area where she has been spotted. If it is her, at least you know which way she is heading and where she is likely to be so you can put up posters.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Just heard from the warden that this GSD was very nervous and has been seen again today - ran away again.

This time in the fields behind Lomond Road, Grovehill, Hemel

There are people out looking, but it is a rural area, so like a needle in a haystack again, similar to the problem that we had in Denham / Harefield - please if anyone knows people over near Hemel, could they keep an eye open - even if it's not Roxy, this dog needs to be caught - thank you

sorry sdolle, re-read your other post - possible Roxy sighting Piccotts End Rd, Hemel Hempstead . . .
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
sdsolle - Thank you so much for your information - we can't speak to anyone but this is a strong possibility as she could have gone straight along the canal and this would explain why we haven't seen her for about 4 weeks. We've left messages for the Warden to call us and I've e-mailed Roxy's Poster to Sarah to compare.
Thank you also for going out and looking, we really appreciate that. If there are any more sightings we'll get in the car and come over too . . . Would you be able to let me know the road that you are in or where she was seen please?
Have put your information up on Dacorum Radio Station and Dacorum Council FB Pages - really really appreciate this possible new lead from you. Thank you

The #Roxytweetathon was a great success tonight. We're in Twitter jail until tomorrow, so can't tweet anymore tonight but Karen's phone is still pinging as I write. Thank you to everyone who took part and made it happen. Just shows what happens when a community pulls together.
There are more followers to @Find_Roxy and hopefully this page too, including very local people who are dogwalkers. Thousands of tweets are still being retweeted to others. Fantastic! Lets hope we get some more sightings now. Well done again everyone! xoxo

Black/Tan GSD sighted (not caught) by Hemel Hempstead's Dog Warden this afternoon - see http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=51300

I didn't see the GSD, but a concerned neighbour alerted me, thinking it was my GSD (who was safe at home, but looks *very* similar to Roxy's photos). I went looking with a spare lead and some smelly treats.

Sadly I didn't catch sight of her, but while out looking, I met the dog warden - she and her colleague had independently seen the GSD, so would be perfect witnesses - she gave me her card (Sarah Lewis - 01442 228418).

As it's only 20 miles from Denham to Hemel, it's probably worth investigating?Last edited: 2013-04-16 19:10:36 by sdsolle

Sorry for not replying quicker - it's been manic here . . . Since Roxy went missing our 7 year old German Shepherd, Jed, has been seriously ill with chronic pneumonia - thought we'd lost him on Friday, but then he's been allowed home today!! Our family is so happy . . .
IF ONLY WE COULD FINISH THE WEEK ON A HIGH AND GET ROXY HOME TOO ***** 9 WEEKS MISSING TODAY *******

Thank you Albidoo - every extra set of eyes is more than welcome - Thank you we did get confirmation that the dog on Alfie Website wasn't Roxy, although I'd have loved to have given her a hug - looked so lost and lonely . . . x
Thanks Steph for helping check out this beautiful dog for us - wish it had been her, but glad that you think she'll get homed soon (as they said she was a really lovely girl!)

Thanks Danielle - we did have a chat on FB - really appreciate your help and comments x

As Lynne has clarified, we now have @Find_Roxy set up on Twitter - thank you Jayne @find_phoebe and Lynne for everything you are doing here - I can just about manage to read all the Tweets, am trying to answer when I can, but am just about managing FB, texts, e-mails and calls. A huge thank you to absolutely everyone that is helping and tweeting for us xx

Sorry Riverlady - Lynne is helping me answer now and sorting out the tweetathon, so we shouldn't miss too many

Thanks Danielle - think we've posted on www.biggsd.com, or I may have found him on FB - will check . . . Thank you for all the extra info being passed around - we really do need this sort of help xx

A general request from us- please could you tell your children about Roxy and perhaps show them a picture - do any of the children have notice boards at schools and / or sports clubs that wouldn't mind putting up our poster - I'm more than happy to drop them off, e-mail or you can download from here:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/110335403/LOST%20DOG%20-%20ROXY_8%20weeks.pdf

We just want to get her on as many public places so that people can look out for her . . .

Do you ride in a bus to work or school, or anywhere really? Can you see over hedges into fields? Could you please look out for our girl when you're driving or travelling please (carefully if driving on your own - I've narrowly missed a few ditches whilst looking!!)

The other train of thought - has someone found Roxy? Does the person who may have found her realise that she belongs to someone and they aren't doing her a favour by keeping her and looking after her?
Is there a new dog on the block where you live?
Can you hear a big dog bark where there hasn't been a dog living before?

Do you live near a Take Away or other place that puts Food waste outside at night or generates nice smells, attractive to a hungry dog?

So many questions we have - sorry to ramble on, but we really would like to know where our Roxy is - it's the 'not knowing' that is the killer!!

AGAIN, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PATIENCE, HELP AND INFORMATION - CAN'T BELIEVE HOW AMAZINGLY KIND YOU ALL ARE. PEOPLE HELPING IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.
With Love and Thanks Karen, Geoff, Jackie and Jed xxxx

COME ON ROXY - IT REALLY IS HOME TIME!!!!! x

Hi Kev, I went through Alderglade nature reserve and it doesn't join up with the field that Karen is talking about. It's all fenced off from that side.

UPDATE TO ABOVE STATEMENT: I walked the path which goes along the river under the motorway, after crossing the little bridge. Maybe if I'd kept going straight ahead, off the bridge, I'd have got those other fields?? Haven't checked map.Last edited: 2013-04-12 15:44:55 by Lynne

Thank you all for your comments, sorry for delay in coming back to you, had a bit of an emergency with our other GSD, he's not very well at the moment.
Kev, the area is as you drive on A40 towards Denham from Swakeley's roundabout, you come off on the slip road down towards the roundabout and it was the field with the pylon in it, next to the horses field.

We did go down to the fields and allotments that were accessed from the Oxford Road (between Denham r/about and Uxbridge) opposite Smith's Garden Centre. I've spoken to as many people as I can there and we had people out in the area within an hour of the sighting, but no joy.

Anyone who can take a look at a different time around that area would be brilliant - thank you so much.

Thank you for sharing reggiemollieros - great help - we have just set Roxy up a Twitter account . . . @Find_Roxy (not that I really know how to manage that properly . . .)

UPDATE FROM A FRIEND JUST NOW:
Hi, just received this from friend:

Just driven down the a40 from swakeleys towards Oxford direction and saw what looked like a big dog (defo not fox or dear) in the fields on the left. Doubled back to look again but had moved 😞 it was eating on the side of the field. It's the field to the left of the horses! By slip road down to Denham Roundabout. Very close to where she went missing and the canals! Xxxx
missy
Any news on Roxy?
missy
its great that you are still keeping Roxy in peoples minds! You are truly dedicated, and if I lived close by, I would help, however I have mentioned Roxy to someone who knows a person that lives in Uxbridge, so that they can look out for her too. it good you are still searching in those areas, maybe she is hiding in bushes or under growth, so may be good to go walking off the main path.
Lynne
I put a poster up in Sainsburys Uxbridge yesterday, on their community board. The only problem is that it has a few little stripes on it due to my dodgy printer but it's still readable, just untidy. Tesco Uxbridge don't have a board and the library is temporarily closed! Doh! xoox
KEV
Posters at Surrounding train stations may help,I wonder if the sorting offices have a internal notice boards there would be a good place for a poster. The poster on the fence is no problem and you are more than welcome.PS local golf course club houses may worth a try with posters Haste hill,Uxbridge etc.

Hi Geny - thank you very much for your suggestions - we have been down to Denham Country Park, Black Park, Langley, Fields around Harefield, all Ruislip Woods and postered and probably annoyed all dog walkers for the last 7 weeks! Have stuck leaflets under windscreen wipers too of all cars in car parks whenever we've gone past. Making a general nuisance of ourselves I'm afraid, so that no-one forgets we're still looking for Roxy.

Thank you Kev - did take up the offer of your fence this last weekend - just by a bus stop too - great location - really appreciate your help. Supermarkets - not so friendly, will not put posters up and security moves us on from putting on car windscreens.

Love the Royal Mail sorting offices idea - we did the Milkmen a couple of weeks ago and the local dairies, so Mail Offices is good idea. We have caught quite a few individual Postmen in and around the areas, but good idea to catch all at source.
e HS2
Thank you very much for your suggestions - we really do appreciate the help!!

I must just say thank you to Jackie, one of our dog loving friends - she managed to get the people doing the HS2 Leaflet drop in the area to take Roxy Posters out with them too . . .

Our Roxy will be so famous by the time she comes home!!! Please keep your eyes open still for our girl - over 7 weeks missing now and she really does need to be at home!!

Thank you, Karen, Geoff, Jackie and Jed xxx
missy
What about local dog walkers who could keep an eye out or even have a leaflet in their car. Have you tried rescue places in the area or even out of the area, maybe she has been picked up, as she has not been seen for a while, or maybe taken to a rescue out of the area. I saw on Teddy's page that a gsd had been found but was in sevenoaks, so maybe too far.
KEV
Maybe worth postering entrances and exits at supermarkets, everbody goes there at sometime.
missy
its probably a good idea to spread the word a bit further,as well as keeping an eye out closer to home whilst you are out and about, like you say she could of travelled out of the area, she had covered quite a bit of ground before.
KEV
How about going to to the Royal mail sorting offices and putting a flyer under all of their vans wipers if you go early they are all lined up.Also I would also put them on their main gates,There are plenty of postmen wandering around.Lets hope there is a sighting soon.

Thanks again for all your comments, texts and help this weekend! Met some lovely people and have had lots of help. Unfortunately no sign of Roxy, but we're spreading the word further afield.

One bit of information that I'm trying to check out: a lady said that she, as a dog owner herself, knows all the fogs in the Yeading area. But, on Sat eve she saw a dog outside a shop, very similar to Roxy.
Does anyone know anybody from Yeading (Middx) that could keep eyes open over there please?

Will poster and drive round, just in case.

Thank you all again xx

Hi Kev, I'm planning on being down at the Denham Car Boot. They can't let me hand posters out, but I'm allowed to put them up on the Gates and they suggested the catering Van too.
Will make a bee line for Larry, thank you.
KEV
Hi Karen,Have you thought about putting posters up at denham boot sale at the entrance and exit gates? The chap that runs/owns it is Larry tell him kev sent you who MOTS his cars. I live in Swakeleys rd Ickenham which is a busy dual carriage way,I have a large fence that you are more than welcome to put up a large poster.

Hi Kev, thank you so much for your message. We do know how lucky we are and do meet and hear of so many people out looking too. We seem to be fighting a bit if a losing battle on the poster front as every time we put them up, someone takes them down. I understand that with so many missing animals that there is only so long that stuff can be left at junctions etc, but she isn't home yet. I would personally go around and take down everything I put up once she's found!! Thank you very much to you and your GSD for looking for our girl, we really appreciate every single bit of help.
Karen, Geoff, Jackie and Jed (our other GSD) xx

I am sure there are many people looking for your girl that you do not know about,I was told about Roxy by a Facebook user and found my way here.Chip and I my GSD have checking in every day for weeks hoping you get a firm sighting. We have been walking around denham and harefield away from our normal walks hoping to spot her.Have you thought about putting posters up at road juntions,Traffic lights and roundabouts.Kev Last edited: 2013-03-28 20:24:23 by KEV

If you don't hear from me Karen, I'm still doing stuff in the background, searching, internet etc. :-) I'll try and do something 'in the field' this weekend and hand out leaflets on my travels. Will let you know when, where etc. I don't want to promise a particular day, place or time in case my ME says otherwise but will keep you posted anyway. Stay strong. Roxy is a very famous girl in this area, and out of this area! :-) xoxo

We have had no sightings for such a long time, someone must know something or have seen her somewhere!!

This is really, really cheeky and I'm sorry to ask, but we desperately trying to get more people aware of Roxy, people that may not be on DogLost regularly or on Facebook . . .

Is there anyone that is going to sell at the Denham Car Boot Sale this weekend (Saturday) that could possibly take some leaflets/posters down for us to hand out please?

Sorry to keep asking people to do things for us, but I'd really like to get the word out by hand as well as on here and FB if possible, just in case some people haven't heard.
I can drop posters off to anyone who could possibly help us - thank you

Am also trying to hand out as many in normal dog walking / family areas over the weekend, so anyone else with any other suggestions or anyone able to help whilst just walking, we'd really appreciate the extra coverage.

Am hoping to hand out in Ruislip Lido / Woods areas, Denham Country Park, Harefield Footpaths / Fields / HOAC, perhaps even Sainsbury's supermarket car park (Uxbridge), Tesco supermarket (Rickmansworth) etc. Any other ideas or suggestions gratefully received?

Again, sorry to be appealing for help again, but we desperately want to get her home

Many Thanks for reading - Geoff, Jackie and Karen xxx (07774 724 797)

Hi Lynne, yes Christine has been telling us for the last few weeks about the loose GSD and we know where he comes from, but I can't discount it just yet . . . Although we think it probably isn't our girl.
Am really hoping that with people out and about over the Easter weekend we may get a proper definite sighting. Wishful thinking maybe, but she has to come out soon. . . Thanks for keeping in touch Lynne xxx
Lynne
Spoke to a friend today who passes the Red Lion daily. He also knows Christine (small world. lol) and there is definitely a dog around there that is known to be out. I don't know if you've spoken to Christine about it? The thing is, you can't just ignore these sightings in case one of them does happen to be Roxy, can you? oxox

Hi Claire, yes thank you we had come to same conclusion, bless her!
I'll contact the organisers of the fairs tomorrow and see how I can best approach that. Am happy to drop posters over there if they will help.
Do need to be a couple of places over the weekend, but happy to go back a few times to catch people. Thank you for the advice! xx
ClaireC
Karen, although it doesn't sound a nice comment to make but Roxy could possibly be on the lean side as well now along with a matted coat etc!

Although these fairs seem to be a distance from where Roxy first went missing from the Denham area she may also have come to this side as well!
There are 2 fairs on at Great Missenden over the Easter weekend. One is a Food Fair and one is a Craft Fair. People do come from across country to the fairs and it may be worth postering around the Fair entrance(s). or if someone is free to hand out a few leaflets at the entrance. I would offer but I shall be away throughout the period. I know the Craft Fair starts Good Fri thro' to Easter Mon. The leaflets don't have to be large size posters. If the Craft Fair event organisers may allow a poster inside their marquee where they normally run a raffle and people write out their names on a table as you go in. Might be an idea if leaflet distributors unable to be at the fair(s) throughout the periods. Craft Fair details as follows:

Hyde End
Off B485 (Chesham - Gt Missenden)
Nr Great Missenden
Buckinghamshire

Tel: 01263 734711

Food Fair:
Memorial Hall

Hope these organisers will be helpful.Last edited: 2013-03-27 17:33:46 by ClaireC

Thanks Steph for bumping and Claire for Good Luck - we need it!!
Geny - no-one noticed or were close enough to tell us her condition, we did ask. I think we could determine whether it was Roxy from the condition of the dog. Any dog that was just out from a local residence wouldn't me that messed up, I would have thought. Yes, you are right, the man in Denham did say she was matted, so that is really what we would expect.

Perhaps we should be asking people to keep their eyes open for a GSD, but also one that looks like she's been out for a while, so muddy and matted coat - thank you xx

Also, just another thought, the lady that saw the dog and staff from the pub, maybe ask them what condition the dog was in, because as you mentioned before Roxy's coat may not be as shiny and silky as it was, and one man who saw her before in Denham when the trees were cut down said she was matted

Bumping Roxy due to potential sighting.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Thanks Geny, we had already got posters in the pub there as we thought she may have 'visited' the area. I did call the pub manager as soon as I heard that she'd been nearby. He sent his staff out looking and they also saw the GSD, although it ran away up the road . . .

They are all keeping their eyes open and have said that they will put food out for us to try to lure the dog in to their area.

We are thinking along the same lines as you - just need to catch this dog so that we can rule it out or, even better, take Roxy home if it is her (wishful thinking!)

Thanks Karen xx
missy
its a great sign that people are still looking, have you postered around Iver where the sightings have been, perhaps putting up posters at the pub or speaking to the landlord of the pub regarding the Gsd in that area, maybe he is aware of one, it may even belong to one of his customers, if its not Roxy, then at least you can rule it out.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
A bit of a question - can anyone help us please?

We have been called out a few times now to a dog being seen in Iver. This mornings sighting by a young lady who tried to catch the dog by the Red Lion Pub, Iver. We have been told about a roaming GSD in this area before, belonging to a gentleman who lives alongside the pub itself.

I did send photos over to the lady who stopped and she confirmed that this Shepherd could have been Roxy, it was the same colouring and appeared to be nervous, then ran away when she went towards it.

Can anyone local to Iver give us any more information on roaming GSD at all so that we can figure out whether this is Roxy please?

In the meantime, we really don't want to stop anyone looking on their normal daily drives / walks in other areas.

6 WEEKS ON - SHE COULD BE ANYWHERE, SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR US STILL - WHEREVER YOU ARE!!

We know from all of your messages on here, on FB and to our phones that you are still looking out for us and we really are so very grateful - thank you again!!

Karen, Jackie, Geoff and Jed xxx

Thank you Sam for all the information here and for our chat on FB yesterday evening - it is really so kind of you to take so much time out to advise us and the bus driver - we really appreciate it!!

Thanks Lynne - as usual, loads of really helpful information - will be looking at placing an ad in the local paper - just need to get hold of everyone to organise and do the Artwork for the Ad itself. Will keep you informed . . .

Stoke Poges - no, we aren't ruling out anything or anywhere - there's a GSD out there, a lady did see it run across the path of her car, but whether it's Roxy or not, we don't know.

Cliare - with regards to the blanket that she was on in the car - we have it, don't think mum's washed it yet, but she was only on it for the hour journey. If we have any clue as to where she is, then it will be available.

We have Posters up around Denham Station, will check out all sorts of places over the weekend and re-fresh the posters and put up again where they have been taken down.

Thank you , Karen xx
ClaireC
What a kind bus driver.. Also as a further thought what about Railway stations possibly car park entrances for posters to go up. Check with the station people first though! Good luck x

Driving home on the school run this afternoon, I was repeatedly flashed by a bus driver. Guessing that something must be wrong I pulled over and the bus pulled in behind me, holding up all of the traffic behind him. He had seen my Roxy poster in the car and wanted to let me know that a group had boarded his bus earlier in the day with a german shepherd which he was somewhat suspicious about. He phoned me as soon as he returned to the depot with lots of details (which I can pass on) but I believe it is a dog that I have seen living locally to me. They boarded at Amersham so only about 6 miles from Denham. It does mean that the posters are working and word is still out there. He has given me his email, as he has offered to put posters up in the local bus depots to get all the drivers to keep a look out. The only poster I can link to is the original and not the latest with all the sightings. Can someone please put up the link so I can forward it on. Will copy this to Karens FB. Sam x

Hi Karen, as Geny said about 'undergrowth'. Last time I went out looking, in Iver, I saw an overgrowth of brambles and I thought then, that it would be a good place for her to hide as it's accessible in places but she could hide in there, camouflaged, away from people and other animals. If she stayed quiet, no-one would know she's there. I'll take a close-up look at those types of places next time I go out, and have a prod and a poke about I think. (very soon hopefully). I was looking for movement before but during the day, i.e. the warmer part of 24hrs, she's probably getting a nap in. Where was she seen in the undergrowth before? The park?
Is the sighting in Stoke Poges definitely crossed off the list or is it still a possibilty? I can't totally let it go from my mind at the mo.

Suggestions of places to send press releases (I'd mention Stoke Poges poss sighting in Bucks papers, just in case.) Also, try and big up the story by saying about lots of people on Dog Lost helping who don't even know you etc etc.

Karen what about the blanket/cover she was sat on in the car on the journey? If you were thinking of tracker dogs probably the best place to start would be from where she first went missing Denham Country Park.Last edited: 2013-03-25 14:27:06 by ClaireC

Hi Geny, yes thank you we are hoping to put the posters up and around further afield - it really is just time at the moment, having to catch up on stuff that we haven't done during the last 6 weeks that Roxy has been missing and working full time. Thank you though. We have driven and walked around at all times of the day and night, also early mornings (2, 3am etc.) in case we can catch her out . . . No chance, she's probably sensibly lying down somewhere in the warm!!

Claire, yes, good idea, I have been putting '5 WEEKS MISSING' on the latest posters, but good idea putting 'STILL MISSING' on them - will be printing new batch this week, so will certainly be including this.
Tracker Dog - we have a couple of people who's dogs are able to track, one a human tracker and one, other dogs. Our biggest problem is that we are trying to get Roxy's scent to follow. As we didn't have her for more than a couple of hours we had nothing with her scent on. We are also struggling to locate an area to even start if we did have a dog as she seems to travel quite long distances, then totally disappear for a week or so. Would appreciate knowing if, once we have another sighting, the DogLost lady and her dog would be able to help though without us having anything smelling of Roxy ourselves?

Really am wondering whether she's been picked up by someone!?!
Really wish that we 'just knew' where she was, even if someone had picked her up??
ClaireC
Hi Karen have you thought of contacting anyone with a tracker dog? Doglost have the use of a lady and her dog but not sure how busy she is ask Admin at Doglost. Failing that I have found this on a website the following:

Based in South West England, Sam and two bloodhounds, specifically trained to track dogs. This is a fantastic resource for people whose dog has wandered - bloodhounds track - follow a scent trail. Contact by form on website http://www.k9searchdog.org/ Phone Sam on 07721597926. I have no idea as to cost but may be worth enquiring. Try Doglost first. xLast edited: 2013-03-25 12:32:50 by ClaireC

Maybe also putting posters up a bit further a field, Also bearing in mind that she is so nervous, she may be only coming out early or at night, the last time she was spotted in undergrowth, so during the she may not come out at all.
ClaireC
Karen as a thought just write on the posters if you have already printed the words STILL MISSING especially as people are taking down they may just think she's been found now! Thinking of radio stations why not try and get hold of "Steve Wright in the Afternoons" I think Radio 2 (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong on which Radio station) he might just put out the story on air. Worth a try I think. Please try not to worry about wehether she is fed warm etc you would be surprised how well they fend for themselves. Have a look at story of Dog ID 49243 she's been living rough on a Landfill for approx year we think. I took in a Lurcher many years ago that had been out for 18 months that I knew of!Last edited: 2013-03-25 07:58:18 by ClaireC

Thank you to everyone that has left me messages about Roxy this weekend. Absolutely overwhelmed and I've got behind in responding to everyone individually - so sorry, both here and on FB! Have checked out every suggestion, just one more to do in Leicester tomorrow. She isn't the beautiful girl in St Albans, unfortunately, but thank you for looking and pointing out to us. We really appreciate everyone's continual searching, Thank you x
We did check out the snowy areas on Sat, nothing to see. Local papers did run the story a couple of weeks ago, didn't run anything last week, but I'll ask again this week in time for Easter.
With regards to Posters - everyone is taking them down, council, park wardens, shop keepers.
I'll try to print out more posters for putting out over the week and weekend as suggested, thank you.

Just wish we knew whether she was warm, fed and sheltered!!

Lynne
Sounds harsh but it would be good if the snow could settle around here so that we can get out looking for fresh prints in her areas. Not gonna happen though I don't think so we need it to warm up for Easter weekend so people go out and about seeing a bit of nature and hopefully there'll be another sighting, if not before. xoxo

Just a thought, but are local petrol stations, supermarkets and pubs displaying posters?

local papers sound a good idea, have you been in touch with the rescues in the nearby areas? Maybe someone has found her as she has not been seen. what about going to the areas she was last spotted, I am sure you are doing all these things already.

Ah, thank you so much! Claire, Geny and Barney and Ossies mum!! Kind words again. Car Boot due to start again tomorrow I think. Depends on whether the field is dry enough and stays snow free I guess. Will double-check, thanks. Think that'll be another group of people to accost! Come on Roxy, you'll be famous by the time we get you home!! xxx
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
I'm sure the other dog owners really don't mind Karen. You are doing an absolutely brilliant job of keeping Roxy in everyone's minds - and that is SO important! Has the local paper run a story on her? Shame it's not the right time of year for the carboot at Denham - you could have postered all the cars and that would have got you a lot more publicity. Any idea when it re-starts?
missy
I read on here that a dog was reunited after 18 months, so stay positive.

Thanks Steph for your positive comments!! Team Roxy - good name, if she stays out much longer I'll have to get T-Shirts printed with that on . . . . 2 weeks and no sighting at all - don't have a clue what area she is in now, or has someone found her and is keeping her, thinking she's a stray??
So sorry to keep asking, but please keep your eyes open for our girl - all areas that she's been - Denham, Harefield, Gerrards Cross, Ruislip - possibly Iver, Stoke Poges too . . . .

With the weather as it is and the locations that she's been seen in, we think she may have change in appearance - certainly wouldn't be so fluffy and silky!! If you see anything that resembles a GSD sized animal in fields or by the roadside, in your gardens, by your garages, local shops, take-aways, cafés please let us know.

PLEASE PLEASE ROXY - TIME TO COME IN FROM THE COLD!!!

Many Thanks again to everyone for their continued help, comments and shares on FB, postering and talking to people out and about. Without all of your help, we certainly wouldn't be getting the coverage and exposure that we have. All we need now is for Roxy to appreciate this and come out and say 'Thank you'!!!

Although this sighting was unlikely to have been Roxy,it's good to know how many people are out there looking & reporting anything they see. Good for Roxy & good for the other dogs that could be missing & on the run. Thank you . I've just had this sent to me by a friend who was out looking with Mum and Dad today:
"I spoke to a lady at agility and another lady arrived who said that there is a short haired GSD that 'roams' in the area, apparently from the flats nearby."

Looks like it may have been another false alarm!! Thank you everyone again.

Still thinks it needs catching to avoid accident for itself or anyone else though?? xx

Just had a little more info - North East side of commone, Stoke Common Road - ran fast in front of car - coat may have been short or stuck to it . . . xxx

***ROXY HAS BEEN MISSING FOR 5 WEEKS TOMORROW!!!***

We have had no new confirmed sightings for over 2 weeks, despite so many people out looking with us. We have however been told that someone 'thought' that they had seen her last week in Ruislip, near Ducks Hill Road.

This could fit in with the fact that there has been a lot of activity in the Denham Country Park and Harefield Areas where we last saw her.
Perhaps she's wandered through Bayhurst Wood / Madbess Woods?
Perhaps she's near the Lido?

Whilst we don't want to stop looking in Denham / Harefield, the areas that she's familiar with, we'd also like to spread the search area out towards Ruislip too . . .

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - if you know anyone over that way, could you please Share our details. With the weather as bad as it is now and in the near future, we really need to get our little girl home to the warm. She must be so tired and her feet must be so sore!!!

Sorry to keep asking you to look and share for us, but we really are desperate to get our Roxy home.

Hi 'Teddy's Mum' - thank you very much, really appreciate the extra eyes. We are asking people to keep an eye near homes too, can't think that she'd be hiding out in woods all this time, although she may wander through them . . . . All guess work really, but she must be getting food somewhere!
Geny - we've tried Radio Stations - but we don't really have local stations as such - our area seems to be covered by Capital Radio, Magic, Heart, Absolute . . .

Wish it would stop raining!! Whilst it's 'weathering' like this it feels like Roxy will be hiding away and sheltering, so making herself less visible than she already is . . .

This is the time to ask anyone with out buildings to check them out for us please. We have been into many derelict buildings, sheds, brick remains, workman's containers etc. looking for signs of a dog sleeping there. I know this is a long shot, but please could you look anywhere that is warm and enclosed.

We have also been told that she liked to sleep in her previous owners Garage waiting for his Cab to come home. In the early days she was seen sleeping on someone's drive by a Garage - this is such a long shot, but could anyone in the areas that she's been to, please check their garages in case they've been open and she's crept in at any stage??

Come on Roxy, it's cold, it's wet and we have such a warm, dry home waiting for you with lots and lots of love and hugs xx

Blimey Karen, grieving for Balloo too! All this heartbreak. You're doing all the right things. Going back to the BBQ theme or just using a little burner to cook something on (they are quite cheap to buy and run on a gas aerosol, much safer than BBQ), you could decide where to cook, based on the wind direction. Today the wind in UB9 is coming from NW which is between 10 & 11 o'clock hrs, if you're looking at the map. That isn't the best but are there takeaways, restauants or anything at Denham Green? I know there's a butchers. I don't know if you can access the fields behind those shops in the evenings, at the cooking times. Tomorrow onwards, the wind changes to SW which will come from between 7 & 8 o'clock hrs, which would be good for smells coming from Colne Valley Car Park across up to Dellside. Maybe more cooking where the Quarry meets the canal so it blows quite strong all across the area. It's all trial and error without more sightings but there's reason behind it.

Also, I saw signs at the Dellside entrance to the quarry saying that they are having a public scrub clearing event on Sunday to clear the picnic area. They'll go through car park entrance on Moorhall Rd apparently. Hopefully, they'll see a poster BUT I feel that Roxy won't be near there, unless they have a BBQ or something, as it'll be noisy and too many people about. That means one less area for other lookers to be.

Something I read the other day, is that dogs who are lost don't usually go more than 2 miles from where they are lost and this seems to fit in pretty much exactly with Roxy's movements. A link to a map with a 2 mile radius from CV car park:
http://www.freemaptools.com/radius-around-point.htm?clat=51.56730051623533&clng=-0.4901468753814697&r=3.22&lc=FFFFFF&lw=1&fc=00FF00
(use the arrows to move around and zoom in etc or it'll lose the middle point).
Does this show areas where you haven't been looking? xoox

Thanks for all the ideas Lynne, all good to try & get Roxy sighted again or visiting an area we can monitor.
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Wow - thanks Lynne - have read it all and will get Dad to read it too. All good points - we all agree on the 'food' issue - just where? We are putting food out in an area that is in the middle of the 2 last sightings, so hopefully it is her that's taking it?? Unlikely, but a couple of GSD size prints give us a little hope.

I have made a nuisance of myself at Denham Country Park - updating all staff and groundsmen and Colne Valley Visitor centre staff. All aware, but no hot food smells from there really.
Have posted the Heron Restaurant in the Bucks Golf Club, they sometimes have some nice smells too.

Jed isn't her real brother, he's mum and dad's remaining 7 year old GSD. He's really looking forward to becoming Roxy's 'friend' as he's pining badly for our 11 year old Balloo (who died 5 weeks ago tomorrow). I've tried so hard to get a dog bed or something from the previous owners - they want to help, but so far no joy in this direction as the other dogs use the stuff. I did offer to buy new one if I could swap it.

Farms, we have postered and talked to most in the area and have people following . . . .

Thank you for everything xxx

Lynne
Hi Karen, some thoughts taken from my walk the other day (others may agree or disagree);
1. Roxy's main mission now, I would think, is finding food. I'm sure she has a shelter somewhere. The wind direction will play a big part in where she goes for food. The wind was blowing from the North when I walked the other day and the smell from the chip shop in Harefield was blowing towards the quarry area, Dellside. Was this why she was seen in that area the other day?

2. The only wildlife I noticed around the quarry area and canal path areas were birds and water birds which were in the water, not on the bank. I didn't see any rabbits, which I'm sure is because of the Myxomatosis which is still active in the area, which has definitely killed off rabbits in the Uxbridge end of those fields. So, what wild food would Roxy get to eat? Has anyone seen foxes around the quarry as I didn't see any? No foxes would also mean a lack of available wild food in the area, which suggests again that Roxy's food comes mostly from human sources.

3. The little carcasses which I saw at the quarry which had, I assume been left for Roxy, may have been moved by birds but didn't seem to have been eaten by any dogs or foxes. I think that Roxy may have a better food supply from the Country Park and/or human sources (bins etc) and as I said, wind direction will play a part in that. Maybe vigils around food outlets when the wind would be blowing from the outlet towards Denham Country Park, at their cooking times.

4. Is Jed her actual brother that she knows? If so, his fur brushings left near to where she was originally lost may be a good idea, secured in some way, along with food. Also, maybe a worn jumper or blanket or something from her previous owners, left in the same place/places, in an open carrier bag on it's side. Get them to sleep in it or on it to get a lot of smell on it. Also, maybe a piece of clothing from whoever sat with her in the car. My only thoughts on that is she might connect that smell to the panic she felt when she took off (??)

5. Other places where Roxy may find food and shelter is around farms, even if they aren't fully working farms. There isn't much shelter around the quarry, except the place where the hut is which I saw but obviously the quarry area is a route for her but I don't think it's her base.

Sorry this a bit long-winded and some of it probably very obvious but I tought I'd share my thoughts. I didn't get to search the fields on the Harvil Rd side of the Quarry so what I've said doesn't apply to that area.

Welcome back DogLost Website - we've missed you!!
Unfortunately no news on our Roxy who's now been missing for over 4 weeks. Last sighting was last week in Harefield, but the general feeling is that she may be wandering between Harefield and Denham, possibly along the canal?? But, with no more recent sightings she could be anywhere around here. Please please all keep your eyes and ears open for us again. It's a bit too cold and dark out there and we really need to get Rox home. Thank you all

Thanks Jen, really appreciate the extra eyes still looking! xx

Walked the canal path Denham Country Park to the bridge at Harefield early yesterday morning with my lab. Kept our eyes open and called gently occasionally. No luck I'm afraid. Keep trying. XX

Thank you to everyone who has messaged us and sent texts, FB messages - so many very kind people, all walking and looking and postering for us. No new information about Roxy's whereabouts this weekend really, just hoping and praying that she shows herself this week. Still looking in the Harefield / Denham areas, thinking that she's using the Canal to move between the two areas, perhaps!
PLEASE PLEASE still keep your eyes open in and around these areas as we are still desperate to bring her home and really have to believe that it will be soon . . .
Thank you again - EVERYONE for the support and help, still after nearly 4 weeks - you are all amazing!!

Barbecued tonight, smelt great, but Roxy obviously had a better offer! She's been seen in a specific area, so we'll keep looking all round. Never knew there were so many hiding places near us, thankfully mainly fields and woods, not too many busy roads. Fingers crossed she shows tomorrow. Come on Rox, Mum needs to have you home - it is Mother's Day tomorrow after all. Please . . .

Hi Karen. So glad you've decided to try the barbecue. This might sound daft, but it is REALLY important -you must avoid eye contact if Roxy does appear, and avoid any loud noises. Humming or talking quietly is best, so that she doesn't feel threatened. Also, keep as low to the ground as possible and try throwing food her away, gradually bringing her closer and still avoiding eye contact. You will really need to be patient, but once you gain her trust, hopefully she'll recognise you and your nightmare will be over!!! Everything crossed here for you xx
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Thank you again for your comments and suggestions. Off out again now, found a good area for leaving food and trap may be next once we establish she is the one taking the food. BBQ tonight, lots if nice smells! Come in Roxy, it's dinner time!!

Good luck with the searching today everyone! Used to live in Harefield many years ago. Are the sightings anywhere near the fishing lakes? Just wondered if she could be scavenging on scraps left by the fishermen, or even being fed by them? Fingers crossed here xx

So good to have this sighting. Well done Barbara. I'm just back from having a look around the area. Have to say it's a really good spot for a dog in Roxy's circumstances to hide out & make a base.

Thank you so much to our angel Barbara for spotting what we hope was Roxy today!! We've all been out looking, spotted lots of signs, so we hope that she's hiding out there now.
Location seems to be off Moorhall Road, Harefield - almost opposite Industrial Park - turn into Dellside and take path to the right with a Dark Green Metal Gate. Down there are lots of woods and ditches, a lovely Wooden Hull of a Boat and the Marina.
Barbara saw her come down from the houses in that area, cut across this path and heading into the woods and up towards the Marina and Barges.
So excited!! Thank you so much to everyone below for posting and sharing the information again for us when I put out the call/text. Really really appreciate the speed at which you told everyone in the area.

Anyone that wants to follow us on FB - I'm posting on Karen Harding (I'm the photo with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger) - friend request me and then you'll be able to see.

Again, huge thanks to everyone who helped us this afternoon!!

anyone in the area get there fast its by the marina in harefield!!!!

Karen how about putting a trap in Denham Country Park ? it would need to be monitored 24hr but you could speak to the park people I am sure they would help - well I would like to think they would, other than that how about people taking in turns to go there early hours of the morning and just sit and watch - sometimes they come out at first light to look for food and water - this might be a way to just sit and look for her?? Also was thinking of leafleting the houses surrounding the park - some of them estates there back on to the park? they may have bins disturbed and not know why - not everyone looks on FB too - ?? praying and hoping for you every day xxx

Hi Julie, unfortunately as Roxy is a new rescue dog we don't have anything if hers. We have asked the previous owners again, as Mum did when she first picked her up, but they didn't have anything 'familiar' that they could give us. Great idea though, really wish we could have got something like that. Thanks for the link too xx

It may have been mentioned before but does Roxy have a favourite squeaky toy at all ? Just a thought and apologies if this has already been mentioned. I am posting the link to GSD United our facebook page and I am on there Karen. My heart goes out to you and I am praying that Roxy will soon be back home with you.

Hi - thanks for you comments everyone.
Julie - much appreciated - I'll have to come and find you on FB. Have contacted the Park Wardens and Golf Club nearby - they haven't cut trees for a while. My Dad did say that someone was cutting trees down there last Thursday, so we're taking this as the day that Roxy was sighted.
Geny - we are trying to get down early, but it is a very large area that she seems to be hiding in - we're out early, then during the day and also at dusk and dark . . . She's very good at hiding!!

Again, all we can ask is that everyone still keeps looking when out and about PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE . . .

We think that she's moving between Harefield and Denham across the fields, by the Canal, but there are so many fields, woods, buidlings, hidey holes - she really could be anywhere there.

Thank you again to everyone for looking and calling and posting - we really do appreciate everything that everyone is doing to bring Roxy home!!

Have put this new information onto our GSD United facebook page Karen - to alert people and hopefully anyone in the area will be able to help with your search. ***3 WEEKS MISSING**** But, we think a little hope!!
A lady on one of the Canal Boats near Denham Country Park has just called - she says that a gentleman has knocked on her Boat Window today to ask if Roxy is still missing? If yes, he was walking in Denham Country Park a couple of days ago and a very nervous German Shepherd, with a matted coat (it must be very matted by now!) was seen going in and out of the undergrowth. There were men cutting Trees down there at the time. Can anyone tell us what day the men were cutting trees down in the Country Park for definite please? We know one day was Thursday - did it continue on Friday and possibly Monday?

Anyway, it sounds like our little girl has made it back down to the Denham are again. Will be checking again tonight and tomorrow. Mum and Dad are down there looking now, along with some other very kind people.

Please keep your eyes open for us again - must get her home for Mother's Day!! Wishful thinking on our part . . . .

Thank you x
DogLostKaren - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Me again! Thank you for the texts, e-mails and calls over the weekend and for those of you who've been out in the area still hunting for our 'little' girl!
We really do appreciate your continued vigilence - surely it can't be much longer before Roxy shows herself to someone . . .
Our Family and Friends have walked, cycled, ridden and driven miles over the weekend, checking every nook and cranny (except the one she's hiding in, of course).
The areas that we have been concentrating on are: all the fields, farms, lanes, woods and buildings between Ruislip (Breakspear Road) and Harvil Road, Harefield.

Link to map section below if anyone wants to see:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/110335403/Screen%20Shot%202013-03-04%20at%2013.28.50.png

It would be silly of us to say that we know she's here, this is just based on last sighting which was 18th February, so a very long time ago . . . In reality she could be anywhere now!!

Please continue to keep your eyes and ears open for us, not just in the fields and surrounding roads, but just in case she's been picked up and someone's kept her for any reason.

We'd really like to have Roxy home with us all - thank you again, everyone!

Thanks Steph for the extra information. We are out tomorrow morning too, Mum and Dad (Roxy's mum and dad) and Jed (her brother GSD). We're starting in Ruislip woods and working backwards over to the Harefield area. Will be postering and handing out leaflets again, checking any empty buildings, nooks and crannies. Hoping and Praying that this will be the weekend!!!
Thank you again for posting here that you're looking too, hopefully we'll meet you out there.
Again, thank you ALL for your help and support. Roxy, here we come - time to go home woofies!! x

Hey I rang the Copthall Farm shop on Breakspear road this week and spoke to a lovely helpful man there he said that he was going to keep a look out for Roxy he also stated that their are woods between Harvil road and his shop !! I walk the area's on a daily basis that you mentioned in your post Steph and had a good look around even in derelict barns ect I really hope that Roxy shows herself soon,I am available after 3pm tomorrow (after work) to contiue to look for Roxy in new pastures !! we will find her by hook or by crook !!!Jayne xLast edited: 2013-03-01 20:38:25 by maddy'rupert &sam's mum

Yes, fair point. Something everyone might like to look out for other than Roxy herself, is footprints (not in a dog walking area tho), fur where she may have laid or brushed by bushes and also dog poo (again not in a dog walking area!). Obviously that would depend on how much food she is getting as to if it would be recognisable as a large dog's. All sounds a bit weird but any clue to show where she's been recently will help narrow the search area. Even remnants of food, although that could be other animals. I'll be out looking tomorrow too.
DogLostAunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London
At the moment Lynne I think it's just anyone who is able to get over to the fields , canals, woodland in the Harefield area particularly around Dogs Trust or between Harvil Road & Breakspear Road North, to search would help. Any time as this will spread the likelihood of someone spotting her if the searches are at different times. Without any recent accurate sightings we have to just cover as much of the area as possible. Thanks.Last edited: 2013-03-01 19:54:32 by Aunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London

Possibly good areas to keep an eye out on is where there is water ie canals, rivers etc. I wish you all good luck for this weekend. xx

The sighting in Iver is now in some doubt as there has been no confirmation.
We have had another sighting come in for the 18th Feb in the field near Copthall Covert off the Harvil Road on the way to Ickenham.
There is going to be a search this weekend in this area as well as the fields between Harvil Road & Breakspear Road North, all near St Mary's Church , Harefield.
Please help us with this search ,as many eyes looking will help so much.
If Roxy is seen ,please try & take a photo & just call owner a.s.a.p as Roxy is going to be even more nervous of people now & will just bolt off if approached.
Thank you. X

Me & my dogs have been over the fields & walking as far as we could get down the gravel pits looking for Roxy,a couple of times my dogs picked up on the scent of something and after looking I can only think that its foxes or deer,i was really hoping that they'd spotted Roxy ! we must all stay positive as this little Girl has got/will show herself again soon,in the meantime I will continue searching !!! Come on Roxy give us a clue !! Jayne x

I was looking at the map the other day after the poss sighting by Pinewood studios. I reckoned that if she followed the roads, she could have ended up Black Park way, or if she followed her nose, and stayed on the roads, it could bring her back to Gerrards Cross (A40). Let's hope she's already been found this morning or she shows herself again soon. Come on Roxy!

Thanks Christine, I certainly will.

Jennine, regarding the male GSD. The one I heard of from Ruislip Lido was picked up on 23rd, the one that you pointed out went missing the day after. Fingers crossed for all these beautiful creatures. Let's hope they get home soon.

Hi - FYI your posters are doing a great job. I took some down to a friends fire station but they've seen them everywhere are said they'd keep their eyes open. re: the male GSD last weekend, it didn't resemble lost dog id 49279? A long shot but thought might be worth asking.

We are continuing to walk with our dogs around Langley Park and Black Park and Ruislip areas just in case. Hoping and praying she's found safe and well soon. Don't give up there's so many eyes looking for her someone's bound to see her soon xxx

Thank you all again! No, lady in Gerrards Cross isn't putting food out any more as far as we know. We did talk about it on Sunday when we met up to discuss 'the plan', but agreed that it would probably just attract foxes, rather than Roxy. We really don't have a clue whereabouts she is at the moment. Have spoken and e-mailed a poster to South Bucks Council again, thank you. LBH also checked again.
The only place I'm really struggling to get through to again is Battersea Dogs Home, London, not Windsor. Does anyone work there or know how I can get hold of them again please?

Thank you all for your continued information, searching and support!
Sussie - thank you for your post, unfortunately it wasn't Roxy, but hopefully this boy will be re-united with his owner when they report him missing somewhere!
Helen - the previous owners have only lived with Roxy in Essex.
EmmaS - thank you - that at least gives us a bit of hope! Thank you all for the offers to meet up and look for her too. Until we have a definite sighting it's a bit difficult to know where to suggest. Can we please just ask for you to keep your eyes open when going on your normal walks / drives as she really could be anywhere . . . thank you.

Roughly what time of day did you see this dog on Thursday and was it actually on Pinewood Road please? Many thanks for help

Hi Karen, I live in Iver Heath and I am not sure if it was Roxy as I was not wearing my glasses but I saw an Alsation near the Crooked Billet roundabout heading down the road to Pinewood on Thursday. There didn't seem to be an owner with it and I received an alert linked to this page. I hope this helps, I will be keeping an eye out in that area.

Hi Karen, did Roxy's previous owner used to live anywhere over here before Essex?
DogLostAunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London
Just a thought,if possible,if this GSD is spotted again, once Karen has been called if anyone could try & take a photo. This could help in positively identifying the dog. Thanks.

Hi Karen just spoke to Pinewood Hotel as I have friends who are chef's there, the manager, staff, chef's & customers are going to keep a look out for Roxy.Roxy your travels must end now you've covered some miles, your family need you home, please let one of us put you on a lead and take you to your owners :) Jayne x
Christine Cullen
Forgot to add she is on Iver FB pages, local farmshop and village shop have a poster too.
Christine Cullen
I've postered 3 entrances into Langley Park, local postman has been told, big livery yard on the edge of the park informed, local farm and transport company with lots of drivers informed, local tip people told. Tomorrow I will ride Langley Park and also speak to all the dog walkers. Driven the perimeter of the park tonight and Medivets in Langley have also got a poster up.
Lorraine K9 Capers DTC
I've just come home via Wood Lane & followed the 412 towards Slough.
Loads of Dog Walkers in both Langley & Black Parks are both Cafes postered ?
I will contact Iver Dog training club tonight so they can tell all their members to look out.
The Pinewood Hotel could be a draw (food smells)
I'm free tomorrow if I'm needed Karen...I live in Slough so can be there in 10 mins x
Lynne
(Was earth12u) I didn't realise she hadn't actually been to her new home yet. Do you think she's trying to get back to Denham Country Park, if it's the only place she knows, or Dogs Trust due to the strong smell of dogs?? It would be a strong smell in the area I would think, for a dog to recognise. Is it worth leaving something of hers near there, or by your gate if you live near there?

Helen - she'd never been to her new home, which is in Hillingdon - she was being taken for a walk after Motorway journey from her old home. Previous home is Chingford, Essex.
Thank you - earth12u - hopefully resting, ready to show herself properly tomorrow!!
Barbara - yes, think you may be right. We did leaflet drop the Barge owners, but didn't go as far as Langley. We will cylce that way on Sunday and Poster!

Which area's would she be heading for if she was trying to get home? Both to her new home and her previous owners?

Just got back, been all round Iver, Uxbridge, Denham, Harefield etc (40+ miles). No sighting(s). Maybe she's gone cross country for the moment or she's resting somewhere. Will keep looking here for further sightings.

Sorry Karen, misunderstood the exact location. Just a thought, but if this is Roxy I wonder if she's been following the Grand Union Canal from Harefield - would have brought her to this area close by Wood Lane.

Hi - I think she was just between the Crooked Billet and the The Red Lion (used to be The Ghurka).
No idea of route taken from there as she was spotted as someone drove past . . .

Thank you all for your help in spreading our new 'sighting'. We've all just been out looking and 'mugging postmen, delivery drivers' etc. Passing out posters and business cards so that they call us if they see her.
We've had 3-4 cars driving up and down the main roads, side roads and talking to people dog walking. Also, spoke to Dog Walkers in Langley Park. We'll put up posters this afternoon/tomorrow all around the locality. Thanks Debbi - we think she's been sighted near Iver, Bucks this morning.
Thank you Jill, Steph/ Jayne that saved me stopping to Post up on here before shooting out . . .
Unfortunately have had to come back to the office now, but family out and about this afternoon walking other dogs in the area, so please everyone keep everything crossed!!

Hi Karen, I can't walk very far, so I've been driving round with my daughters looking for Roxy, and asking dog owners if they've seen her. We've mostly stuck to the Harefield/Ruislip area, but drove out to Gerrards Cross yesterday evening in case she doubled back. No luck so far, but we will keep looking. Have you talked to the staff at the civic amienity site? There's also a company way behind the dogs trust, which says 'schering plough animal health' on the map - it would be a good idea to give them a call and ask them to check their grounds. Best Wishes, Helen

Hi Jayne, Lorraine, Debs, Claire
Thank you for your comments. I have logged Roxy with Dog Warden Website so that all Wardens can see her. I'll do what you have suggested though and try to e-mail/call each and every Warden within that sort of radius - thanks.
Thanks Jayne and Lorraine - I know you are looking so hard for us - we really appreciate it, thank you. We also have the very nice Family with 4 dogs in the big House down by HOAC keeping their eyes open.
We have spread our net a bit wider now as there is so much countryside. Have postered all of the Woods and Leaflet dropped the Farms and Houses behind Dogs Trust, over towards Ruislip area. Ruislip Woods too. Ducks Hill G/C have kindly put a poster up for us and I'll Poster the Lido and the Woods over that way tonight.
Julie, thanks for the tip about the car - I'll tell mum and dad so that when they go out they could perhaps leave something smelly in the car for a little while, with the bed that she travelled on in, then perhaps we may (by some miracle) be lucky!
I know that someone else is kindly contacting all the Horse places and Farms etc. I will try to get posters out by hand or e-mail as far as I can today too.
A very kind Gentleman from Trinity Press has also published my letter in the Gazette this week and talked to his counterparts in the Bucks Paper too. This has already got some attention as I've had more FB friends who've seen it and are sharing my status.
Again, thank you all so much!

Hi you may have already done so, but have you checked the wider area of dog wardens just in case Roxy has travelled further than we think? What about a 50 miles radius I'm not saying that she has walked this far but someone could have picked her up and called out their own local dog warden to collect.

No sign in or around the Dogs Trust.
We also walked from the country park , to the lakes & along the towpath & drove along the A40 a couple of times. No sign & those we spoke to hadn't spotted a loose dog either :(
A friend who lives opposite the Dogs Trust & has GSD's herself , is aware & keeping a look out.
I hope this little girl shows herself soon xx

Karen - just a thought is there a Farmwatch/Horsewatch group around this area if so contact the co-ordinator to put out alerts to all members in case Roxy is in an outbuilding but do add she must not be chased and to ring you straight away. I also have a very nervous GSD and she escaped once and we got her back by putting another dog in the back of the vehicle and she jumped in with her - I am just telling you this in case it may help - if Roxy can be sighted was wondering if it would be worth putting smelly food into the back of a car and leave the door/tailgate open which may lure her in. With all good wishes. Julie x

Thank you Julie, Jayne and Lorraine - just need a sighting now, especially in this horrid, damp, cold weather. We were out with previous owners last night who gave us more information:
ROXY likes the sound of Black Cabs, she is used to lying in their Garage, so may have crept into an open Garage and got shut in or be hiding there. She really likes to have her 'Belly Rubbed', so she may respond to someone if they say this to her.
County Pet Services - thank you for your good wishes - Roxy is a little girl though
Again, thanks for all of your posts and good wishes - just want to get her home!!

Hi Sarah - Thank you very much - I've printed loads of leaflets too and, although I haven't done every door, some of us have done all of the Shops and Pubs in Harefield and surrounding areas. We've done all of the Farms and buildings that back onto open spaces. We've put signs on road junctions and trees, gates and by all parks and dog walking areas, woods etc.
We've been quite active on Facebook etc too.
We have put quite a few things out in Denham Public Spaces and shops, but if you don't mind doing individual houses in Denham, that would be very much appreciated. All help is really appreciated as we are getting desperate for a sighting now - nothing since Sunday a.m.

**** ROXY, MY PARENT'S DOG, MISSING FOR A WHOLE WEEK TODAY ****
After many sightings Roxy appears to have disappeared again. She's been in Denham, Gerrards Cross, Tatling End, Chalfont St Peter and Harefield.
We have heard that she may be limping and also heard that she 'may' have run into a car.

With this in mind and the fact that she has been out for a full week without proper Food, Water, Comfort and Cuddles, could you please re-share this post again for us today!!

If you live or own a farm or open land anywhere near any of Roxy's route so far, please could you check undergrowth and outbuildings - places where she can hide. She seems to be doing this a lot and hiding out!

Additional Photos added - Please note that Roxy wears a very thick Tan Leather Collar with a floral design on that makes a 'tinkly' noise. This may be helpful if you are not sure if it is her or a 'Fox' . . .

Thank you for all of your help and support so far, sorry to be asking again, but we really need to get her home quickly now.

Have walked Gerrards Cross common again this morning in case she turned back in this direction and going out to walk Tatling End to Denham shortly.

There is an RSCPA right near there at Denham (Broken Gate Lane) has anyone informed them - they may be able to help ? I will go up and drive around this area tonight late when its quiet - anyone else around want to meet? taking very strong smelling food like Sardines has worked for me before. sx

Will be in the area later this afternoon, will have a good look with my super friendly dog, fingers crossed Roxy is found soon!

Reported by Highways Agency at Tatling End, heading towards Denham on the A40 at 5:30pm yesterday.

A couple more places to try incase she's picked up: Stokenchurch Dog Rescue, Green Meadows Kennels in the Chalfonts (used by Police when they pick up strays) and Battersea at Old Windsor x

Also ask at the Golf Club and maybe leave a poster up there. Lots of good places to hide around there. Other vet areas heading towards Aylesbury direction is Hampden Vet Hospital 01296 432666. Aston Clinton Kennels & Vets 01296 630326 just in case she has been picked up and I believe nearer to Denham is Arklow Kennel. Sorry I don't know tel number. Don't forget the Dog Wardens as well. Aylesbury has one. Hope you will soon be reunited.Good luckLast edited: 2013-02-14 19:47:29 by ClaireC

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. Hope Roxy is home soon. I used to have a Roxy dobermann - she was nervous too (but when we were on a Doglost search and found the dog we were looking for she knew not to bark!) Glad your Roxy is tagged.

I have to say I have gone thru this before and they dont often move too far from where they were last as that is the only scent they know, but when it happened before to us the dog was lying low during the peak times as too many people and traffic - probably hiding in bushes on the common or somewhere like that - then coming out later when quiet and looking for food. It took us 5 days to get her back so dont give up hope you are doing all the right things, keep putting poster everywhere share everywhere and keep asking and postering - even on routes towards beaconsfield too I would say. Once you get more people calling with sightings you will get a pattern - I will come and help look in the early hours as that is possibly when she will come out. Thinking of places around GX (was bought up there) where she could hide and also be near food ! town centre not far from common and lots of food places there. Will print some posters too and put up on Farnham Common good luck and dont lose hope. sx

I've added to twitter @missingPetsGB I'm not far away so am advising everyone i know locally too.

Have also done a couple of 2 hour stints on both commons and surrounding areas today and handed out A6 sized posters to dog walkers. Met the lady who saw Roxy last night and she is going to put food out again but given the distance Roxy had already travelled, there's a strong possibility she's no longer in the immediate vicinity. Owners have extended vet notifications etc to surrounding areas. Will go out again shortly but could really do with some sightings now to know where to continue searching.

Went walkabout today through & around both the East & West Commons in G/Cross but sadly no sign,. Spoke to a few dog walkers in the wooded sections & they hadn't heard of a dog missing in the area. On next sighting , i would recommend plastering that area with posters to get the word around..

Have asked a work colleague who lives in Gerrards Cross to keep a look out for her. Hopes she stays away from the A40!

I live very close to where Roxy was sighted in Gerrards Cross and can go out to search today. Have there been any other further sightings and has this area been postered?
Hope your poor girl can be found soon. xx

Karen - I was just wondering if she would come to another dog at all - is the rescue she came from local as maybe she had a friend there that she would recognise or one of the rescue people that she knows. Just a couple of thoughts - thinking of you. Hoping when I next log on she is safe and sound and back with you. Julie x

Thank you for all of your help! Roxy is still at large, now in Gerrards Cross, Bucks - last seen in a driveway near St James Church and A40 Crossroads. She's so very nervous that when my parents saw her she ran away again.
I have put her on many sites, but would really appreciate anyone 'sharing' my Facebook post please.
Again, thank you all x

Hi, I lost my dog in Langley Park last week but thankfully she is back home now. She was taken by a kind lady, then taken to a vets and ended up at Noahs Ark Shelter: Phone number 0844 499 6063.Another phone number that helped me trace her is for South Bucks Environment: 01803 696900, they sometimes take the dog to the Noah's Ark Shelter. I also phoned the local police stations and vets to see if anyone had handed her in. I hope you find her. I will keep an eye out when walking my dogs. x
Jen
Heading out for a walk later-will go there and keep a good look out. Paws crossed for you. X

Sorry to see that ROXY STILL MISSING is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (48676)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
