Email from Anna, Sam's owner says found "Not far from where he ran off an amazing was fine took 3 days to find him but home safe and sound now being spoilt" Excellent! Have politely suggested that Sam gets a microchip .. Dogs Trust and other places are doing this for free. Last edited: 2013-02-20 20:13:04 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

No problem Clarkey - I am going to add Sam to facebook groups and we have just set up another facebook group GSDs United for stolen/lost/found GSDs or GSD type dogs which I hope will help owners. Come on Sam willing you to be found soon. Julie x

Have you had any sightings of Sam? Thanks Julie for your all your help.. chances are that Sam is still in the woods if he is unsure of people..so good that the Forestry Comm people are helpful! Anna ..wld you be able to set up a bbq with smelly food in the area Sam was lost (with the FC permission of course)Dogs often go bk to the place they were lost. Try to poster everywhere and anywhere you can to get the word out. Remember to keep in constant contact with the vets, rescue homes and the dog wardens (Sussex/Kent and Wealden)..Blue Cross Northiam, RSPCA Brighton, Barby Keel Sidley, Kit Wilson Uckfield, Raystede, Last Chance, Dogs Trust Shoreham .. try to check them regularly to remind them that he is still missing. Also if Sam has been picked up by someone it often happens that they take them home to their area and then report it so put his info everywhere. Also here is the link for the dog wardens phone numbers in your and surrounding areas .. http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search/all-dog-warden-phone-numbers. This site is another for him to be registered on and you can check all the 'found' dogs too. Give posters to postmen, milkmen, taxi drivers, bus drivers, ice cream van drivers, schools (children are good at spotting things!), post offices, doctors surgeries etc. Just get the word out to as many people as poss. Hope you get some good news soon.Last edited: 2013-02-18 22:35:10 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

I have received a response from the Forestry Commission who are making all their people in the area aware of Sam. Was really hoping I would log in and he would be found. Thinking of you and everything crossed he is soon back home. Julie x

So hoping Sam is soon found safe and well - whereabouts did he go missing - does he have any doggy friends that he would come to just wondered whether you could take another dog to where he went missing from and see if he appears. Everything crossed for you. Julie x

German Shepherd dog (I gather male?) found injured on hard-shoulder of the M6 motorway near Junction 9. Is having treatment and is now in the care of Birmingham RSPCA.Last edited: 2013-02-13 17:53:53 by whichypoohs
