I've just got back to work from Hereford. Sadly, the little Yorkie is not Jasper. :-( I had a message from the Dog Warden to say that he has now been transferred to H&W Animal Rescue. I've just checked the lost Yorkies on here in the Central Region, but can't see anyone even slightly similar. If anyone knows/hears of one missing in the hereford area, or even further afield, please ring me on the numbers below for further information or contact HWAR. Thanks to everyone for the support. The next one could be my boy. CherylLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It is a very long shot after so much time (2 years), but I've got to go and see him just in case. Everything crossed. Will let Jazzi know the news as soon as I've been to Hereford. Hi Dee, I now have several pictures, and some say it could easily be Jasper, others I'm not so sure. I am currently wracking my brains to think of something about Jasper that would confirm whether it is or not, but after over a year it is not that easy :-( I looks like Teddy (now called) is a lot darker than Jasper, but there are a lot of similarities on the head and face. I haven't ruled out the possibility of making a trip up to Warrington, just to make sure either way. Many many thanks for the phone call and information. It's a good job I didn't say sorry wrong number and put the phone down :-) CherylLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am now 99% sure that the sighting in Newent was another case of mistaken identity. While I was distributing posters and flyers I was greeted by a little yorkie dog, that did look a bit like Jasper, and regularly wandered between his previous and new homes. Another lead bites the dust, but there was another possible sighting near Morrisons at about the same time.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jasper was possibly sighted near Morrison's in Malvern Link again last night. Someone said her husband had seen a dog like him on the way to work, but hadn't got my number as the poster ink had run :-(. I have replaced the ones in the immediate area, and will be replaced more the weekend. They now have my number and will ring if they see the dog again. Fingers crossed. I had a phone call this afternoon from a lady saying that a little yorkshire terrier had been into her garden a couple of times during the week, and when he came in today, having seen the poster, she managed to catch him and put him in her shed. I immediately said "I'm on my way" where are you? She gave me an address, and I sped up the road to find it. When I got to the address there was no sign of the dog and the lady at the house knew nothing about it, so I asked around the area, then came back home, and did 1471. It was a payphone, so I went back to the area but nobody had seen a little dog. I have now put posters on the phonebox used, and have fingers crossed that the lady will ring back tomorrow. I feel very silly for getting the number wrong, but after 12 weeks without Jasper, I could be forgiven for being a little excited ! Now sitting by the phone waiting for it to ring, and I will be checking the other sighting area in the morning. Everything crossed, that Jasper could soon be in the blue :-) Will let you know what happens, Cheryl Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi All, I've had 2 phone calls to say that a Silvery Yorkie was spotted running across the car park into the woods at the local Morrisons (Malvern). I walked all round the area yesterday calling him, but there was no sign. He was (if him) heading towards home, so I've left a little box, with his blanket, a t-shirt of mine, some choccy buttons, and some dog biscuits outside the front door, and left my scent on the walls/fences etc in the vicinity of my house. Fingers crossed, it was Jasper, and he made it across a very busy road ! Will definitely keep you posted. CherylLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please don't give up hope. I don't want to make anyone envious, as I was reunited with my dogs today, but they were nowhere near where they were stolen from, yet vigilance and networking of everyone across the country has led to a happy end - even without chips, but they are going to be chipped first thing. Good luck with your search for Jasper, I sincerely hope he'll be home for Christmas.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
