This is the only info I could find on the sheep killings but it does mention Roxy and Bailey http://www.southport.gb.com/southport/news_list/Sheep_Worrying_Ainsdale_10_Sheep_Killed_Others_Injured-52104417.htm

Thanks very much 4paws for the info, hope they are ok too x Been worried about the sinking sand. Pinfold Lane is the road around the corner from my Mum.There are pine woods opposite the entrance to Pinfold Lane may be worth a good check out anyway xxx
4paws
Hi,I just checked the report and blaming 10 deaths & several sheep maimed over two nights on dog(s). Your 2 are mentioned in the comments underneath the report, some good comments and some bad. The Sheep have been found near Pinfold Lane, Ainsdale. It might be a good idea to get a night search set up as they said it happens in the night.Good luck and hope you can find them before they get blamed for this in error. xxLast edited: 2013-03-14 20:11:36 by 4paws

My Mum phoned me tonight and I had been talking to her about Roxy and Bailey and she lives in Ainsdale near the dunes. In her local paper today The Southport Visitor there is a two page write up about Roxy and Bailey being blamed for the death of four sheep and the mauling of 5 others in pens. Can someone check this article out because if it is those two around there they need catching very urgently.People know about them in a bad light because of the article so urgency required. The info was only off my Mum and I have not seen the article myself so the info needs checking out asap. Good luck to all xxx
Andrea
Most recent sightings on Wednesday night on formby beach. There is hopefully going to be a search tomorrow and/ or Sunday if anybody can join in. There are details on help find roxy and bailey page on Facebook and also help find buster page as all dogs seem to be in same area so lots of cross searching going on. These pups are showing themselves a bit more though which has to be positive..

On Bailey and Roxy's facebook page, there have been sightings in the Birkdale/Ainsdale dunes, today.

Latest update posted a few hours ago on fb:

Please share far and wide these Pups need to be found, we have had one sighting a week ago at Hesketh Bank out marsh RSPB Reserve. They could have been picked up by now and be anywhere, we need people to share the pic and let us know any information they may have, these babies need to be reunited. A rescue team have been out morning Noon and Night in the hope to get these Pups safe. We are doing everything in our power to find them but need information as to their possible whereabouts, if anybody can help us with a tracker dog or anything please contact the number on the poster or alternatively pm me. Time is ticking we are desperate for their safe return x

Called into the Liverpool RSPCA (Halewood) and looked out for these two. There is a Bullmastiff in there but not Bailey or Roxy.

Thank you to everyone who is looking out for them. x

Were in Hesketh Bank were they seen? they cannot get to Penwortham, without swimming the river, or walking along a very busy road, were they would have been noticed, hopefully they may be in the same area, is there a search organised?

Thanks Andrea for the update, great there has been sightings of them. Thank Shereen for bumping them up.

They could be taken to Leigh Cats & Dog's Home or Preston RSPCA both kennels are aware of them missing and have their details. We have an active helper who works in Preston RSPCA and has been on the look out for them.

Keeping everything crossed family get that most important call soon. x

There has been a sighting on Sunday on marshes round hesketh bank and maybe heading east towards penwortham Preston. Could we alert helpers up that way and west lancs dog warden? I will be going out tomorrow looking. Good that there's been a sighting though.
chrissyr
If the dogs have been found in Hesketh Bank, Tarleton area I do not think they would go to Halewood as it is Lancashire not Merseyside, possibly taken to Leigh or Preston. Not sure what area Banks comes under.
Gothwitch
Thanks Jan.. will send them up with a poster in their car

There is no news on these two girls. I was in Halewood RSPCA today and staff are well aware of them.

Thanks everyone who is helping in the search and looking out for them. Sure someone has taken them in we just need that one person to see their missing details and make that most important call. x

Have there been no updates on these two yet?.... have friends going up towards southport on tuesday
Sandra R
Have been keeping a look out for these 2 on my daily walk, on the bank at Hesketh Bank, just in case they have followed coast and headed this way. Hope they keep safe and are soon home.
nix71
Have been out to look for these today, drove around banks asked a few local people went up and down coastal road, could do with binoculars its such a vast area, i agree that they could be stuck and the lifeboats have quads that can be used to get right out to the sand banks, id suggest getting intouch with them to ask if any of the volunteers would be happy to go out and take a look ASAP i will keep looking and asking and praying x

Definitely tell the coastguard! And it would be cheaper to pay someone to take a boat out than a helicopter.
honeyharvey
You could do to get a helicopter up from Woodvale Airdrome to make sure they are not stuck on a sandbank or someone who knows the tides and soft sand areas too. Possibly the coastguard maybe ?
Hope that helps good luck. x
