Does this mean that Buster has actually been found and is safely home or does it mean that Buster has been 'found' running around Tilsworth but not actually caught? Will check here early in the morning, to be sure......

We know the local community keep a look out on our site Fluffylegs. It is our aim to make it impossible for the thieves to keep these dogs. The country as a whole now is becoming much more aware of the problem and we will be campaigning for changes in the law regarding dog theft and calling for stiffer penalties. The word is out there and vigilance in the area as a whole is heightened.

Great news, hope to see both Buster and Daisy in the blue when I log back in xx

Thats great news, hope he is safe and that Daisy is found soon....was postering locally today abt 12noon and had a strange conversation with someone who stopped to ask if I had lost a dog, gave copies of each poster....felt may have links to local communities.......
Its central bedfordshire, Nik..... and bedfordshire north based in bedford. Luton as a council is unitary

jenny

These are from my old contacts book: Annie Bailey, Beds CC, Gypsy Services Officer. Luton: Travellers Liaison Officer, Tel: 01582 482046 travellers@luton.gov.uk. However, not sure how useful as I think Beds is now Unitary.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Paddy - the local council should have a Traveller Liaison Officer, so they could be asked to have a look around the site, but postering outside is still a good idea x
ClaireC
There are also Kennels (Tullian Kennels) and a dog grooming parlour down the lane nearly opposite Mead Farm. You could ask down there as well. I think the lane is called Stanbridge Lane. I would certainly ask at the sites and even poster outside the places if it were me!Last edited: 2013-02-27 08:51:17 by ClaireC

There are travelers sites in this area, Toddbury Farm on Slapton Rd, Geenacres and The Stables on Stanbridge Rd ( next to Mead Open Farm ) Could anybody ask here, the Police ? Is it a good idea to put posters up outside these places ?

Sedgewort Bramble amend your last post to read "into a car". Possibly better to say just that at the moment. xxLast edited: 2013-02-26 18:27:46 by ClaireC

I know this is a long shot but there are reports on a local news website of a brown and white dog that was straying on the M1 motorway between junctions 9 and 10 (which I believe is Luton). The police closed the motorway and reports say the dog had run into a nearby field and the dog warden was trying to catch.

Tx for the info JOD13...we had to remove your mobile number...and posting. As these thieves monitor our site...So one word of advice I would give to them is tie the dogs up outside a local vet now....They are microchipped...and we have info on you from within...do the right thing now...
JOD13
I have just spoken with busters owner and ask you please delete my original post - hoping the info I gave will help - thankyou :-)

Stolen from kennels, owner came home and found 2 dogs running round his garden the other two Buster and Daisy missing - one from each kennel. owner is with the police now we think as he is going to call Lorna my friend back shortly. Also agree, Buster is a cocker but is quite likely to get mistaken for a springer from the looks of him- so please be aware if you see any for sale who look like him that he may be listed as either. Please share everywhere - this has only recently happened within the last few hours and we want to make them too hot to handle as quickly as possible xLast edited: 2013-02-25 15:57:12 by ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland
