- Thank you so much. I did speak to the lady @ Castlefields Kennels and she was extremely helpful. I emailed her photographs of Molly etc. Castlefields take in strays for Ashfield D Council (part of Bestwood Village falls under their jurisdiction).
I am continuing to place posters in the locality and nearby towns (Arnold, Bulwell, Hucknall etc).
Thank you so much for advert in Countryman's Weekly magazine.
Had some disturbing news from the microchip company today. It seems due to some sort of error (when I adopted Molly from the rescue kennels in 2009) her details were not updated to mine!
(Can you believe it - all this heartache and not even the correct details!). I've emailed a copy of the adoption certificate showing the chip number and the microchip database has been updated. Unfortunately I had no way of knowing this and a month on this has only just come to light (apparently due to them being swamped with work re proposed compulsory chipping).
What is utterly heartbreaking about this is that if she's been scanned after going missing on Sun 24 Feb she may have been legitimately re-homed. I did circulate details and photographs by email to all local dog rescues etc, but of course in reality with being so very busy I doubt that they would ever really have had time to look properly and am worried that if she is still alive that she may have 'slipped through the net'.
Thanks so much to everyone who has read this page and is looking. I used to put posters up for other missing local dogs whilst I was walking my dog and it is not until this happens to you that you fully appreciate the nightmare. Thanks again. - Advertised in this weeks Countryman's Weekly magazine. I hope it brings some news

- Sorry nothing to report in the search for Molly but will still keep looking for her. Have you tried Castlefield Kennels, 261 High Lane East, West Hallam - 0115 932 2763. They take in strays for the local authority. I've spoken to them in the past about a friend's lost dog and they were very helpful.

- Still no news I'm afraid. I have been placing more posters in the locality. I phoned Babbington Rescue recently as there was a dog there that looked v similar to Molly (but due to the way the photograph looked much darker on the website ) was actually nutmeg brown in colour and happily for her owners was re-united with them. I'm continuing to place posters in the local area & have already emailed all local vets, animal shelters, stables, etc. Thank you to everybody who has read this page or looked. I greatly appreciate all of your help. Thank you so much.

- Sorry to see Molly is missing. I will certainly keep a look out for her and will put up a poster at my horse's livery yard which is not too far away from where she went missing. On my way to the yard from where I live in NG3 I can take a detour to look in that area. Good luck - hope she's soon found safe and well.

- Sorry to see that MOLLY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (49330)

- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
