hi people just to let u know pippin is fine and snoring at the mo lol,his collar is missing his feet very sore and it looks like he has a burn mark on his nose so dont know if someone attempted to take him,just thankful hes home,will b getting him chipped asap,thank you once again xxx

It might be worth going down to NAWT and physically looking as sometimes if a different member of staff is on duty things can be missed one person may have taken him in and another not know about it and surely the dog warden can speak to their kennels or at least tell you where they are so you can go and look yourself, this is. So frustrating :-(

I kept an eye out for Pippin yesterday when taking the dogs out and there was no sign. Have also stopped other dog people that I know in the area and asked them to keep an eye out for him. It must be very frustrating trying to get a simple answer from dog wardens etc. The system is obviously not working. I was also of the impression that dog wardens take any strays to NAWT. Will keep an eye out again today, hope you find him soon. x

just spoke to dog warden,the warden that was working over weekend is on leave today so he has to check call centre and see if any dogs have been logged in,hopefully will get a call back soon,if pippin isnt with them then dont know what to do next xxx

just spoke to vets and someone did bring a dog into them on saturday but they told them to take dog to nawt,already spoke to them over weekend and they hadnt had any dogs brought it,waiting till 9 to speak to dog warden and keeping fingers crossed xxx

It is so annoying when we have tried so hard for information, the time in kennels is so short before being put up for re homing and not being able to get information for 2 days out of the 7 is ridiculous I hope you get some answers Nik. Maybe the sighting in Whitwell was when he was on way to Garston Park and the dog found was Pippin, I hope you get positive news tomorrow xx

Great job, everyone. Debbie is absolutely right about Watford, but the system doesn't seem to work. Only the other week another dog was spotted by Debbie at the kennels when Watford hadn't spotted it. I've discovered who is the portfolio holder for environmental services and I plan to tell him that the service is just not good enough.

just spoke to council who said dog warden will phone me tomorrow,said that dog warden takes any dogs to nawt and gave me the phone number,just spoke to nawt and they said dog warden does not bring dogs to them,so no one seems to know where dog warden is based or what kennels he uses,will phone vet and council first thing in morning xxx

ThreeRivers DistrictCouncil debbie here - thats not right sheena, watford council have a company that takes their calls. get owner to demand that a warden call them to verify they have the dog. doesnt cost them any overtime to make a phone call - they are available 24hrs so they wil be able to get through

thankyou everyone,u are all amazing,im hoping and praying that it was pippin that was found yesterday and hes now waiting for us to pick him up,cant speak to dog warden or vets till tomorrow so we are still looking and phoning incase its not him,hope hes somewhere warm and safe xxx

We have just spoken to someone at the council and they said that the dog warden cant tell us if he's there or not until monday so we will carry on searching tomorrow xxx

No problem Jayne, I would hate for my pooch to be lost I would be frantic and hope for as much help as I could get, it makes a difference owners getting their dogs on here quickly, the last one I tried to help didn't get notices out very quickly and there were no sitings unfortunately by the time they did :-(

Have just had this message on doglost herts FB page from Debbie Sandling hi sheena - watford council will collect from garston. they are 24 hours 01923 226400 - may not return him till monday but warden should call to say he is safe. debi trdc

Vets aren't open tomorrow, I presume they would have passed the dog to the dog warden as he is not chipped, they do check as I have taken dogs there before. I will try and get more info on finder tomorrow as another dog walker I know knows who found the dog.

We have just called garston vets which was shut but then put us through to emergency which was medivet but they said they havent got him and garston vets dont hold dogs they would of sent him to the dog warden which is closed until monday, and we cant find any out of hours numbers for the watford warden xxx

A friend has just told me that a wire haired small dog was found in Garston Park this morning, it had no collar and finder was taking it to Garston Vets. Obviously can't enquires now as it's not 24 hrs but maybe dog warden would know where they take found dogs, here's hoping it is Pippin.

We are in bowmans green but he went towards the flats and then we lost track of him so not sure if he went towards the subway towards sainsburys, the park or towards the shops, we are at WD25 9UE.. thankyou for all of your help it is and will be greatly appreciated xxx

Right on my doorstop, will print posters and get them out tomorrow, concerned as near a busy duel carriageway and branch line railway and not far from M1, stay safe Pippin until we can find you, can we have more info on where on the Meridan please so we can concentrate where to look.
