Kate, please would you check the spaniel on SDK site - she is on doglost 109025, but is with SDK - you would need to ring them on 03444828300. I know that one says she isn't chipped, but sometimes they move or fail.....

The person that originally posted the sighting, and I "think" this was the person that followed her home was Kailey Gibson so if you need any further info it may be that you somehow need to go through her.
Sarah
Bit of a strange one this is but this dog was spotted straying and then someone seems to have followed it to where it went home and back to her puppies. It does look so similar to Betty though I thought it was worth posting across!

I've put it over to my timeline hopefully to make it easier. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=485660261538042&set=a.245858835518187.45499.100002822188783&type=1&theater

May also depend on whether Betty's coat was clipped in this photo or whether it's naturally short'ish.

Advertised in this weeks Countryman's Weekly magazine. I hope it brings some news.
Ian
Sorry Kate, I just read her profile and see you have already done it. I should check before I open my mouth!
Ian
Im thinking Betty being a Spaniel Bitch that has not been sterilized would be an attractive target for someone on the make. Would it be worthy of consideration to offer an unspecified reward for information. I have not done this in Pennys case because she is cross bred and spayed and also known to be on the loose, but That is not the case with Betty, is it?
Kate
Thank you for your comment Ian it means a lot and does give us hope. It's two weeks today since she's been gone and its hard sometimes to stay positive that she'll be back. I will keep the word out there about Betty and hope that it will bring good results. I really hope you get penny back and your foxhounds. Thanks again for your message
Ian
Kate, don't despair its early days. Keep postering and posting on here, making as many people aware and periodically reminding them that Betty is still missing. I have a farm dog Penny a spaniel x border collie missing since late November with 2 foxhounds. We believe they were all stolen from the farm. Remarkably Penny appeared some miles away from where she went missing 4 weeks later. We haven't been able to catch her but I have seen her myself 3 times and there are regular sightings sometimes 3 weeks apart. Its hard but even if she was taken it shows that persistance can get results. Good luck.

zen
bumped to top, due to betty being in the local newspaper. come on betty show yourself
zen
poster now amended to say presumed stolen, betty has also been put foreward for county mans weekly in the lost and found section
zen
i will ring you, but putting in the local paper such as citizen and stroud news would be a brilliant idea, they are both really helpful regarding missing and stolen dogs.... if you suspect she has been stolen then you should contact the police and get a crime number...have you posted along the canal boats at saul, and in that the little cafe...
Kate
if we change our page to stolen as its looking more and more likely are we likely to get more coverage? I have just been reading about Buster the cocker spaniel who was stolen in Mitcheldean in November. I'd be interested to know the steps they took to get him back. Noticed an article was put into the citizen. Trying to stay positive that Betty will be back xxx
Kate
A search party may be helpful. We are very lucky that there are a lot of people around on the farm who are helping us look. We've searched everywhere we can think of including the hay bales and slurry pits several times. Our thoughts are turning more and more to whether she has been stolen?
zen
do you think it would help if a search party was organised? have you checked between hay bales, slurry pits, fencing, etc etc
Kate
Thanks for everyone's help. Please keep looking. Thank you x
