Thank you so much everyone for helping. What a miracle, we found him in an old disused sceptic tank of the neighbours! He is absolutely thrilled to be home. Straight in the bath, then had something to eat, now lying on my feet. So relieved.
Nickhoneys
If someone has found him they are likely to be local as you are in the middle of nowhere. Print some posters if you can and knock on some doors in whittlebury and pury end/paulerspury. I am trying to think of places he could get stuck in locally. If you need help with postering please let me know as still live and work locally. Another thought being a terrier is he the sort to get stuck down a rabbit or badger hole?
Cinders
You could do with a tracker dog down there while his scent is still fresh

Took a slow drive around back roads from Towcester via Wood Burcote to Whittlebury & Pury End,no sign of this little man. Has Golf Course & local vets, boarding kennels etc been postered?
Gemstone
Thank you for the offer, but we have been walking everywhere all night and all morning with the dogs, calling him. This is what makes me think that either someone has found him and picked him up, or he is stuck behind a wire fence somewhere, or he is lost further afield. There must be something stopping him because he would always want to come home and knows his way around the farm.
Nickhoneys
Hi Gemstone any idea which way he might have gone, any particular way you usually walk pirate? Is he friendly towards other dogs, if I walk mine in the are will he come over to meet them?Last edited: 2013-03-07 14:26:23 by Nickhoneys

Yes this is the farm on the edge of Whittlebury. We have 5 fox terriers. We have Grandmother and her daughters. Thank you everyone for looking. Pirate never disappears. He is also very intelligent.
Nickhoneys
Is this the farm down Sholebrooke Lane on the edge of Whittlebury? If so I know this area well as used to live in cottage down there. will take detour this way later to have a look. I think the people who have lost this dog are breeders or have loads of them.
