This dog should be in the blue, thank goodness!

you definitely did the right thing, I've done similar, watching a staffie zig-zag across a busy road. Turns out he was only 50 yards or so from her house but still glad I did it
Nikki (Tyler's mum)
Glad he has been reunited but let's hope his owner takes better care of him now x

You did the right thing picking him up I would have done the same if he had got run over you would never forgive yourself. Lets hope if they don't collect him he goes to Lurcher Rescue and gets a better home xx

We have been conducting local enquiries and have been told by several people that the dog does live locally. Apparently its owner lets it roam around and it just returns home when it wants to. I have had several people questioning me as to why I couldn't just leave him there to what he likes. Well, after almost seeing him get run over on two occasions I wasn't prepared to do this. I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to him. If it is true and he does indeed have an owner then I can't for the life of me understand how they can sleep at night not knowing that he's safe :(
He will spend 7 days in kennels and, if not claimed, be put up for adoption. I only hope that his owners realise what a lovely dog they have and decide to take responsibility for him.

Owner of Murphy has confirmed that this is not him :-(

Pics aren't too clear. Some of these dogs appear to travel some
way as must be picked up and then 'lost'again in a different area.

Murphy is mostly brown, but Im wondering if its Sweep missing from Glos, Maybe too much grey around the muzzle thoughLast edited: 2013-03-10 08:53:23 by Mollychops
