- Yes, I agree it was an absolutely lovely thing to do, especially when trying to come to terms with their grief.
- 2013-05-24 09:24 LisaMell
- I was very touched to see a Thank you advert in our local paper.Lovely family to think of doing that at such an awful time and when they are so upset. It says they think Larch may have had a heart attack very shortly after he went missing.xxx

- Mollychops, please tell them that sometimes our fur loved ones have to go to heaven, when they get the call, without owners present because if they were there, it would be too hard to leave. They love them so much. Always together, forever. xxx

- Thank you Mollychops. I thought it may perhaps give some comfort to the family, after they have grieved for a little while of course. We sometimes hear people say that their pets "Were just like part of the family" I disagree "They are/were part of the family" Run free Larchx

- Condolences to the family. RIP+ Larch, and have fun at the bridge. God Blessx
Please do not be sad that I died alone
As a beautiful Angel came, and took me to my "Forever home"
I knew when you laid me in my last resting place
As i looked up at you, and saw your tearstained face.
I knew it hurt you when I had to depart
As I held out a paw, to try, and mend your broken heart.
Let me give you some comfort. "Please listen to me"
One day you will be reunited with a black handsome lab. "Yes" that`s right "Me"
God bless

- Im terribly sad to be posting this. Dear Larch's body has been found when owners were out walking in the woods with their other dog. Ive just spoken with his wonderful owner. They are all very saddened but now will be able to draw some comfort from the fact they have at found him . They worked so very hard looking for him , chasing every lead that they got. Thanks to everyone who helped search for Larch, and emailed and rang with possible sightings . Sleep in peace Larch XX

- Thanks LisaMell, Larch's owners are still working really hard to find him. I had a call from a lovely gentleman today who saw a black lab on the Abergavenny to Brecon Rd . It was running loose down a very busy road , and therefore he was unable to stop. I will get alerts sent out to this area , as its not that far as the crow flies from Hereford. Ive alerted owners and they will be checking this out .

- A bit of a distance but a male black labrador is listed as found on this website postcode area: TA24 http://www.lostdogsuk.co.uk/assets/dog-reports/1364985343/30-0.WSDC-020413-1116.pdf (says not chipped) I thought it worth letting you know though.

- I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. Glad he's microchipped and hope he's home soon - been gone too long :(

- Owners havent heard anything yet, but they have covered a lot of ground in the search for larch. Its probable he is lost in this vastly wooded area, having run out of the area he knows. Many people in the area have been alerted, farmers, walkers etc, Ive suggested putting something in the paper too.
