Well done, windmillary, yes that was Saskia, I'd been helping look for her. And re: other comments about Fryent Country Park, Saskia's carer is an experienced and trustworthy dog owner/walker, she was not in the least bit negligent, honestly, it was just a really unfortunate incident. She did all the right things to help get Saskia back safely.

Hi, I do believe Saski is the dog who me and my boyfriend handed in to the Goddard vet in Wembley yesterday (pink collar?). Poor girl was running in traffic in the Kingsbury roundabout. We followed her down Honeypot Lane, I got out of the car and ran after her. Such a sweet girl, we got her in the car and got her some water and food while figuring out what to do. Glad to see she is back home!Last edited: 2013-03-19 13:26:08 by windmillary

agree with Labradoopy.Fryent way is big and on one side there is a farm with Horses. approx 18 months - 2 years ago an inquisitive dog was kicked to death by a horse.small dog( westie i believe) and agitated the horse. Farmer sick and owner distraught. so on leads unless you know the dog and the paths very well.
JJ
also there are ponds on the opposite sides.Ok now but has been known in dryer seasons to cause serious upsets in dogs because of stagnant state of water.

Freyent Country Park is not a great place to walk a dog who's not too sure about you or recall. It spans both sides of a busy main road with vehicles passing at great speed. There are safer places to walk until the owners get home.Sakia has been very lucky!

Lovely to see this girl has been found by a nice kind person unharmed. Please stay safe and close to the person who is looking after you until your owner returns from holiday. xx
