Issey is still missing. Owner has done absolutely everything humanly possible - has sent numerous posters to schools, vets, police, LAs & kennels. I really do hope issey comes home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I spoke with hopiiepoppie this morning, unfortunately it wasn't Issey. Thank you so much for taking the time out to call, much appreciated. I hope the dog you found is reunited with her owner, she sounds like a real sweetheart. Many thanks Tamson Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, do not want to raise your hopes up too much as I live quite a long way away from you but I have found a dog on Saturday in Somerset that looks like yours. I have had to keep her with me untill tomorrow (Mon) as the dog warden was not around over the weekend, we have contacted police and rspca in the area but no one has claimed her yet! She looks around 3yrs and is white all over, you mentioned brown on Izzey. She is very friendly, and good with my children and yorkie. She was very dirty so she has had a bath, which she wasn't too happy about. She loves to sit on our laps and gets very excited when you fuss her. She looks just like your photo except her ears look abit whiter. If this sounds like Izzey contact me.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Took a call a short while ago for an anonymous caller saying that they believe Issey would be found at an address in Little Stoke. Have just come back from visiting the house, unfortunately it wasn't Issey but it was very similar. The owner has only had her for 2 months, she got her from a friend. So on the one hand, my hopes have been dashed but on the other, people are aware and are looking out for her. I have had calls from schools to say they will display my posters and make mention of Issey at morning assembly. I won't give up, she's out there.... TamsonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No further developments. Many people are now aware of Issey and have shown such kindness and support in trying to find her. Never lose faith in the human race..... The Gazette will be running another article this Friday and I have just posted a further 50 letters to schools asking for their support by displaying the posters. Hopefully there may be a child or parent out there who may have some news. The Dog Warden for South Glos will be visiting traveller sites to see if they have seen her / taken her in.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I hope you've managed to get plenty of media coverage, the more people who see a picture of Issey the more likely someone will spot her. It must be agony for you, as my 2 are my family and their short absence left an immeasurable void, but keep positive and productive and I sincerely hope it will produce a happy ending soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I hate to suggest it but after all this time it might be worth advertising Izzy around the Winterbourne/Bradley Stoke area. It's a well known area for recovery of 'lost' dogs. Good Luck!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I recieved two calls today to say Issey may have been spotted in Iron Acton High Street over the past few days, having laid scent trails in the area and finding a stable to put her basket in, I bumped into a couple and a dog called Bomber, who looks like a larger version of Issey, all white with two brown ears, who lives in the village. It confirmed my fears that the dog reported in the area might not have been Issey. Having spoken with the dog warden today who has had no reports, she believes it is highly likely that Issey has been taken in. If anyone see her or knows of the person who has her, please, please contact me. I've known Issey since she was just a week old and she means so much to me, she like a substitute child and I love her so dearly. I desperately want to know she is safe, my number is 01454 228345 or 07887 906557.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Given that the deadlines for locals have gone, would suggest BBC Radio Gloucestershire. Phone-in number is 01452 307575. Suggest you try John Rockley (9-12), Matt Peacock (12-3) and Trish Campbell (3-5). Sadly Izzy is not very newsworthy (although it is a quiet time of year), but if you want to try the newsroom they're on 01452 307093. I would also suggest you email individual presenters - firstname.lastname@bbc.co.uk. Best coverage has often been a dog-loving presenter !! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Excellent suggestion, will do. It took only a few hours last night to create a database of over 80 contacts, thanks to yellow pages website, cut and paste and an excel spreadsheet mail merged to print envelopes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Dee, have been out putting up posters in surrounding areas. The Gazette for South Glos will be publishing an article this Friday on her, so hopefully some good news to follow. I am also writing to all Animal Welfare, Vets, Doctors Surgery's, Boarding Kennels and Police in approx 20 mile radius, sending a poster with full description and contact details. Tamson.. you need to be one step ahead of her. Follow a line say 10 miles radius of that last sighting. Make sure all the dog wardens in those areas are aware and extend your calls to pounds/rescues the same way - make sure they all know of Issey in case she's been picked up recently. As soon as you get a call with a sighting of her from a poster that you've put up ahead of her, then you can start to reel her back in with the scenting. At the moment she's going too far away to realise that your smells are behind her so you need to get in front. Keep it up, the posters are obviously working!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had another call today to say she was seen last Thursday approx 4pm at the Badminton Road / Wottton Road crossroad (by Parkers Garden Centre) However the not so good news is that she was making her way in the oppostie direction to my house, rather than towards as previously reported. If anyone knows of a person living in or near Iron Acton, please ask if they have seen her since then. Many thanks TamsonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We laid a scent trail from where she was last seen back to my parents house on Christmas Eve, which passed their neighbours chicken run and woke to find a dead chicken in their garden this morning. It is possible that a fox did this or even their Jack Russell. So I have been out again today scenting their garden and the trail already laid. Whilst out I found the remains of a rabbit in another field, however it must have been a few days old as there was no flesh on the bones. Fingers crossed it was Issey.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Dee. Unfortunately in this area we all have wheelie bins, it is more likely that she will be near rabbit / fox holes hunting as we live in the countryside and wildlife is in abundance. There is a pub on North Road called the Codrington Arms, they tell me they often have strays rummaging through their bins, so they will keep a look out. Plus Garden Centre is well aware they have been out with their dogs looking too.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sounds good Tamson - could the garden centre be where she is hiding up? Don't forget the scenting - and rubbish collection day. Lots of food will be out tomorrow, so if you are out after lunch look for broken bin bags! Keep your spirits up, she's out there somewhere. Dee xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Since yesterday I have had over 6 sighting of a small white dog at the Badminton Road / Wotton Road crossroad on Thursday 22nd December at approx 3pm. This is next to Parkers Garden Centre. The dog was seen on the road disturbing traffic and heading off in the direction of Rangeworthy through fields. For those who know the Iron Acton / Rangeworthy area, please look out for her on Dyer's Lane, Chaingate Lane and North Road leading to Manor Road and Wotton Road.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I believe I may have seen Izzy the night she went missing, just after 9pm. She was heading at a rate of knots towards Cromhall running along the path past the bend after the pub opposite Rangeworthy Court Hotel turning. I was driving at the time and there were other cars so I couldn't stop. I hope she is found soon safe & well.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Such a sweety, it is bad enough to lose your dog at any time, but so near to Christmas heightens the pain. Hopefully she will be handed in somewhere soon, so get as much publicity as possible so when she is seen people can contact you. Stay positive as there will be many people out there looking for Izzey. Try and read the reunited pages as they can be reassuring.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
