First dog on page. Can't make up my mind about the markings, would they have changed a bit over the (almost) 2 years?

Further information... We have received a further phone call from a genuine person advising that she thinks she may have seen our dog in Sconce and Devon Park, Newark on Trent. She saw one of our posters and feels that it could be Tsar but could not be sure and didn't want to offer false hope...There is no further information so we will be visiting the park...If anyone walks their dogs in this park please keep your eyes open for Tsar...thanks
Jackie
Thats awful, any update from that? My son saw a poster in Clumber Park, we live in Retford I'll share on Facebook. Lots of luck.

just for information for people... We had a telephone call today from a woman..private number.. who said that she had our dog!...she asked if there was a reward and I said there would be a reward for the return of our dog. She continued about the reward and insisted I told her how much... I diverted the conversation to try to establish if she really had our dog and how she knew it was ours, the woman became quite aggressive and said that if I didn't give her a reward she would let our dog loose!.. she said that she was in the street next to Asda's in Newark....
mark

Hi, good that you've managed to poster local area. Heart sinking that no sightings..... :( Would the Newark Advertiser be willing to run something? Also see on other posts in lost dog that the countryman magazine covers lost dogs so maybe worth a try. Not sure how to go about this but a lost dog co-ordinator may help? Also may be worth talking to construction workers on the sites near Trent. Anyone talked to or put up posters down Tolney lane?.....Are all local farms aware and have neighbours checked sheds/ barns and garages? just thoughts, i'm sure you've already thought of all of the above. I've share on Face Book and will continue to keep it circulating. Hoping for a positive turn of events for you all.

placed posters in local pubs in North Scarle, Collingham, Eagle, Clifton and shops in Collingham and Newark .... still no sightings at all.... Shelly.. thanks, Tsar doesnt have his own facebook page but he is all over mine, all my relatives, the Huskie rescue one and has gone far and wide... people who i have stopped say they have seen it on fb... still handing out business cards...
mark
hi shell, thank you very very much for your help, mark and gail

Hi again, We've just got back from Newark. Managed to poster pretty much most of town centre in strategic places. Facebook working in as far as raising awareness, Lady at bus station been on facebook and seen details of Tsar, as had 4 other people we spoke to. Fingers crossed it may bring in some info. Mark/Gail do you think it might be good to add 'reward' to this page and any future posters? People we spoke to were very supportive and posters were attracting attention at least when we were putting them up. Checked some of the posters we put up Monday and they are still there. Again, let us know if you would like any further help. Anyone dog lost followers/supporters out there that can poster Lincoln way might be helpful?

Hi, Mark and Gail, so sorry to hear no news about Tsar. Don't give up, plaster posters everywhere. I have postered Clumber Park, cafe area and popular walk routes, spent this morning handing out cards and talking to people about Tsar. They are running an Easter Egg Event and loads of people there this weekend so hopefully lots of increased awareness. One gentleman I talked to said to advertise Tsar missing on preloved under items for sale in Newark and Notts. He works for them and said they bump ads of lost dogs to top. Has Tsar got his own Facebook page? Can you let me know link if yes, local shop in Tuxford "Chilli Petals" owner has lots of contacts in dog world. She has put poster up too. Let us know if you want us to poster any of village surrounding you.
mark
just a update, still no sign of tsar..no one has seen anything of tsar.
and thanks for everbodys help. mark and gail

Have circulated some posters in Newark. Pets at home, both train stations, outside Asda, Morrisons (notice board) and Waitrose (they would only take the poster from me and put it on their staff noticeboard) We have 100 posters being delivered in the morning. And some business card size cards with contact details on. Let me know if anyone is up for some postering. One lady we spoke to suggested contacting "half way house dog rescue" as they are local and they have a good following on facebook so could share details to local audience. I haven't done this as unsure what you have already done.

I took another drive tonight to see if I could catch a sighting, again no luck.
I covered a route through Brough, Collingham, Girton, North Scarl, Swinderby, South Scarl, Back to Swinderby & finally back to Collingham.
We will put a poster up in our window as quite a few dog walkers and horse riders pass by our house.
Let's hope for better luck tomorrow.
mark
Thank you so very much for all your help and support.... we noticed Tsar had gone from our garden within 30 minutes and were out looking for him... not one person has seen him wandering, which leads me to think that he has been taken, we can only hope that tomorrow brings us some good news being Monday...We have placed posters around Spalford woods, and will be doing local pubs and shops tomorrow.. its all over facebook people have been very kind and shared the information with their friends etc...The police are aware but are reluctant to report him as Stolen (insuffcient evidence) ...local vets, rescue centres are aware... and lots of people are actively keeping their eyes open for any sightings.. thanks for everything folks much appreciated...Mark & Gail
Peggotty
have there been any sightings?
SherwoodOwl
Just been out for a drive around the Collingham & Girton area for an hour or so, no luck as yet. I will be out on foot later and will keep my eyes open for him.
Hope he is back home & safe soon.

Owner has postered and contacted local radio and is checking sites on the internet.

Read this on another dog lost page and thought it was good advise............It may also help to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the
site to contact you. Also Please post Facebook details and then we can circulate too.

We can help with postering. Will also walk our two out that way today and keep eyes out!
Dad told us about Tsar going missing last night as his property backs on to yours and Brenda had called him. Do let us know if/how we can help. Fingers crossed he turns up soon.
minniemoo

DogLover.
I'll keep my eye out (Collingham) I hope he returns home very soon.

Just to put owners minds at rest the sticker story is a hoax - please read this statement from one local police force https://www.facebook.com/solihullpolice/posts/590254704337755
JennyB
So very sorry to see that Tsar is missing. Please check the outside of your property for a small coloured sticker. There is a scam in operation whereby thieves place a sticker on your property to show there is a dog there, then they come back later to steal the dog. If you find a sticker, contact the police straight away. Please keep this page updated, so me and my partner can help. Hope you're reunited very soon xx

Sorry to see that TSAR is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (50324)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
