continued from above.....identity tag had been lost. They gave her a bath cause she was covered in snow/ice and freezing cold and made her feel at home. They took her to the vets first thing this morning to see if she was chipped at which point it flagged up that she had been reported lost. The vet rang us at just after 9 to go and collect her. Ive been to see the finder to thank her and her husband for their kindness...She said Maisie was so adorable she'd felt sad parting with her after just one night!!! Shes back home sleeping now as if nothing has even happened! Thank you all for your amazing help and support/ideas, I didnt even know doglost existed before yesterday but am now proud to be a newby member of your community.

Hi Graham - any chance of returning to the woods with another dog incase she has got stuck? I have seen ESS that have been found on here when stuck in undergrowth caught by a leg or collar and sniffed out by another dog. Fingers crossed she is home soon xx
Graham
Posters now up around the entrances to the wood. She is a little bundle of energy (as all Springers are) and if shes frightened could have run miles. Please keep your eyes peeled everybody, we spent all day and some of the night shouting her to no avail in the woods and surrounding fields. Im sure if shes there and OK she would have come so think she might have run off somewhere else. Might be worth noting when I was putting posters up I was actually really close to Quaking Houses entrance to wood when she went missing (which I didnt even know was there as we come in from other end). If shes sought shelter that seems a likely place perhaps??Last edited: 2013-03-26 03:51:32 by Graham
