Thank you all for you lovely comments and good wishes, I just thought I'd update anyone still looking at my page.... I've now been microchipped, which I didn't particularly enjoy, but I know it's for the best and I got some treats for being extra brave, I've got my very own night time bed and a day time bed too and I've started going to doggy school, some weeks I do better than others, but it's not my fault, there's a naughty dog in my class who winds me up then pretends he hasn't done anything (Mum knows it isn't me though!!!) Last week I ran off into the field and chased some cows, which I won't be doing again, because Mummy was very cross with me when I came back, especially as I could have been hurt.

Amazingly we met my old dad a couple of weeks ago, he told my new Forever Mummy he was glad he had seen me and that I was safe and happy in my new home. He said he had too much going on in his own life to care for me properly and that I'd become too much for him to deal with, he also explained how I had escaped. Mummy is glad that she know's where I came from, but even more glad to know that I am staying here forever and ever.

Anyway, thank you so much goldenfrodo for moving me "into the blue" - I'm a very happy boy xxx

PS - The cat's still living upstairs out of my play zone, but I'm sure she'll love me one day!!!!

PPS - Sorry to hear that Mollie is forever sleeping, when the time is right she will send along a new friend to take their place at her Mummy's side and she will live on in her Mummy's heart xxxx

That's it from me, so good night to you all, I'm going to take Mummy for a little walk now before we go to bed!!! xxx

Wonderful news. Have a great life with your new family in your forever home, handsome boy.

mathers22 I agree with you that you do need to grieve after the loss of Mollie. Even so I dont think the pain ever really goes away, we jjust learn to accept it

Latest update..... I have now been officially adopted by my new forever family. I am safe, warm, well fed and being loved in return for which I am providing them with regular exercise and constant entertainment, which I think is a fair deal..... The cat isn't quite as easily convinced, but I'm sure we'll come to some arrangement as time goes on, she's not really sure if she can trust me or not, but I just want to play.... honestly!!!
Sam
He is currently being lavished with love and attention as part of our extended family with the rest of our once stray menagerie comprising of a tank full of fish (acquired from a friend who didn't have room for them), two rabbits left to defend for themselves on a country lane and our cat who was abandoned as a kitten. We haven't found his previous family as yet, but would love to hear from them even if it's only to gain some insight into his background.
