Dogs can be legally REHOMED after 7 days. If an owner comes forward after that time it is up to the new owner to give them up which is not always the case as they have become attached to them. PLEASE PLEASE get your dogs MICROCHIPPED a.s.a.p. and keep the details UP TO DATE. By LAW dogs should have a collar on with ID. x

BLUE has gone HOME with his very happy family.

Met family at the kennels and after spending time with him they have said it is BLUE. He has grown and his brindle colouring shows more which family members where not convinced it was him. The RSPCA staff were great and we all went to part of the kennels for them to spend time with him. Due to his age when he went missing he has bound to have grown and colouring can change. Everything matches to the area he was picked up and his breeding. His ears are very distinctive. The more time the family had with him the more they said it was BLUE. It was great to see the family together and get that most important REUNITED photo, took a couple and have used one when they first met him and a group pic.

Great to be moving him into the BLUE. He is now MICRCOCHIPPED and have discussed getting him NEUTERED a.s.a.p.

WELCOME HOME Blue.

This proves the IMPORTANCE of visiting kennels in person at least once a week and not relying on photo/s and phonecalls.

Many thanks to DogLost Volunteer AnnieSparky for your help and support. :)x

Keeping everything crossed! ;-) x

Owners have been told they will hold him until the weekend. They were phoning again today to make sure and Majorjet has linked Blues DogLost page to RSPCA page.
Mishybird
Yes, same question, will the RSPCA hold the dog for the owners?
Lady 0wl
Will Halewood RSPCA keep hold of him until they can get there?
AnnieSparky
Blues family are in touch with Halewood RSPCA but may not be able to get there until the weekend due to full time work commitments. Fingers crossed all will be ok xx
DogLostClaire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West
Any news on whether this dog was Blue? Keep everything crossed for good news :-) x

I hope it's your boy!!

Family have seen a possible match for Blue up for REHOMING in Liverpool RSPCA (Halewood), details on the website (link above).

It sure does look like Blue and family have confirmed he has white on his chest which you cannot see in the DogLost photo. Keeping everything crossed all goes well and it is blue. He has got a RESERVE on him. I've left a message on the RSPCA page and the link to Blue's DL page. Family have also been in touch with the RSPCA and will be going in a.s.a.p. but due to work commitments may not be able to get there until the weekend.

I will try and speak to the RSPCA myself.

Well done AnnieSparky for the support you have been giving family and for the alert earlier tonight. :)x

Have texted owner Amy.....Blue is still missing :(
Have alerted her to new posts.

Any help sharing/searching/posters much appreciated by Blues owners xx

Hi, a dog that looks similar has been offered to me for sale.

Would you be able to confirm roughly how tall he is at the shoulder, & if he has white toes, dappled neck flash, has been dewclawed and is under a year old? There's every chance it's not the same dog, but I'd like to rule that out.
Witchy-poos
Hiya, any sighthound cross is a lurcher so Staff x Whippet makes him a Lurcher a lot of people would class him as a lurcher or 'lurcher type' if they found him - he is a bull lurcher with him being a bull cross. Some people may not immediately think of him as a Staff cross with him having a lot of the Whippet looks too, just trying to help you cover all bases. Pounds etc are notoriously bad at describing dogs so I would defo mention that he's a lurcher and tell them bull whippet cross. I hope he's home soon.xx
AnnieSparky
Thanks for posting Amy :) You are doing so well....Is the Facebook page your own or have you made a Facebook page just for Blue? Some people do when their dogs get lost eg "Help Find Blue"
Meant to ask you about farms, stables in the area? He may go to them and would be worth taking posters. I emailed one to Abbey Farm caravan Site which isnt that far away.

Good idea about the papers from J MO....think you can send in story online....

ok with him not wearing a collar that rules out the dog I saw. I hope Blue gets found safe and sound soon x
Witchy-poos
Maybe a good idea to list him as a lurcher? Or at least put that in the description. Hope he's home soon. xx

Blues owners are working really hard to find him. He went missing by Ormskirk Golf Club, Cranes Lane which is Lathom direction (L40).They are ringing the dog warden, vets and dogs homes regularly and have put a few posters up. They have been searching all around the area which is surrounded by fields.
The website for the golf club has directions for the area:
http://www.ormskirkgolfclub.com/page.aspx?pid=17197

.......I have emailed Blues poster to them and Sunrise Vets in Parbold.

Blue wasnt wearing a collar or harness.

Owners would appreciate any help putting more posters up and sharing to get Blue home x
AnnieSparky

Have added a photo of Blue that was shared on fb. Picture is not very good and he does not look like a Staffie. Need to confirm with owner what his breed is and see if they have any more photo/s.

Thanks Asmark I will try and contact family a.s.a.p. to offer help and advice.
