Posted on Twitter. I know it's been a year since Floyd was lost, but someone may know where he is. Good luck. XXX

Just seen a FB post that some dogs have been seized in Bradford, 3 youths arrested, dogs include 3 Boxers..they're at Leigh cats and Dogs home http://leighdogsandcatshome.co.uk/contact.html
You never know.
LindaT
Still no news of this boy? Are people still looking?
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Sadly there has been no news of Floyd x
migman34
We still have local people that walk in bempton but no sightings :(
LindaT
Is there any more news on Floyd...it seems to have gone very quiet, I hope there are still people looking for him.
migman34
Just to let you know we are still looking xx
migman34
sunny warm day here on the east coast will be a fair few people out n abouts lets hope today is the day for Floyd to show himself x
migman34
So sorry it wasnt Floyd, the dog was a boxer cross same colours we have found who it belongs to ( and we told them in no uncertain terms about letting their dog roam) We wont stop looking we have people out daily looking for Floyd xx
cazza
Gutted to find out it wasn't my Floyd but Am not giving up!! Again thanks to everyone looking and sharing on Facebook. xx
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Thankyou migman34 for finding out and confirming the Scholars Way dog isn't Floyd. Not the best news but at least we now know not to concentrate unnecessarily in that area and to widen our search. XLast edited: 2013-04-12 23:37:44 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
migman34
Sadly the dog seen on Scholars way has been now confirmed its NOT Floyd :( x
migman34
still no sightings im affraid. Have you also been checking with Scarborough? We have had a few people going up daily. A thought could be to widen the area for him given it was over easter with a lot of tourists about........ Leconfield i would have thought with him been chipped would have contacted you but its well worth ringning them daily. We dont have a RSPCA here that take strays, if Leconfild was full they are taken to Hull. Dog warden would be able to say so could also be rung daily. We wont give up Caz xx

Was keeping my fingers crossed Floyd would have been sighted again by now.
Am going to visit my mother in Flamborough this weekend Sunday and will be returning home Wednesday morning so will take more posters BUT if any further sightings will try to help --- my mobile no is 07854 645298 so please do ring me. Mum has spread the word amongst people she knows and has seen posters for Floyd in Flamborough . Please do keep checking with the stray kennels ie Leconfield and RSPCA in BridLast edited: 2013-04-10 22:26:27 by Merlintrude

I do hope Floyd will show himself soon ... come on poppet, time to go home !
cazza
Forgot to mention, added him to Yorkshire coast radio lost and found page last week. Also gave my details to a couple of pubs in the old town area as someone on facebook said he was spotted up there last Wednesday.
cazza
Contacted Brid Free Press and they are going to add Floyd to lost and found page next week. Facebook has helped to get friends of friends to look out for him too. My gran is going to her caravan next week so she is also going to go out looking again. I am just hoping that he is ok???
migman34
Friends walked again to speeton yesterday and around bempton cliffs without any signs :( a few are going again today............. come on Floyd where are you x
migman34
There is a car boot today at sewerby tops. i have asked people that have gone to keep eyes open xx
migman34
I was so praying that Floyd would be in the blue when i got back. We still have him bumped on my group. I believe Cazza has been in contact with Kirsty (one of my admin).
There has been no other sightings around Scholars way. With it been the weekend more people should be in and around Bridlington I will ask all my doggy friends to keep eyes wide open. Contact Bridlington Free Press (they also have a facebook page)The paper only comes out once a week on a thursday . and we do have our own local radio station. We wont give up looking xx
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Sorry you didn't see him cazza. We haven't had any more sightings reported to us in the last two days . Its very important that you keep checking with Stray kennels and dog wardens and also searching and postering.
If it was Floyd that was being sighted in the Scholars Way area he may have moved to another area which is why there have been no more sightings reported so try to spread your postering further afield and also try to get an article or adverts in local papers and also try local radio XLast edited: 2013-04-05 15:39:29 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Photo received thanks Jayne !
I see what you mean about the photo migman34 ... Very hard to say for sure this is Floyd but looks similar enough to keep up with postering and searching in this area.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Yes...have just forwarded to you Jumanji....
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Migman34 Have you emailed it to us at admin ?
migman34
have emailed the photo that was taken x
migman34
ive seen the photo its rather fuzzy n from the back so very very hard to say. I have friends that live on Scholars way its not a local dog they said untill yesterday its never been seen before. This dog is sticking to gypsey fields scholars way jamison park Brett street area
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Floyd was lost whilst his owner was on holiday and his home is too far away for Floyd to find his way back home. Due to the distance they have to travel back to search and poster for Floyd his owners cant be there all the time and would be very grateful for any help with searching and postering .
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Thanks migman34 you are being a brilliant help to Floyds owners ! !
I just spoke to Cazz and her relative has gone down to the field where the dog is being sighted.
Its great if you can see of a phob of the sighted dog as we need to know for sure it is Floyd that's being sighted and not a local dog that takes itself out for walks.

I am away from wednesday lunchtime untill friday lunch .My admin team all know to keep Floyd bumped and they know how to contact you Cazza if there are any sightings. There are a lot of people looking for him for you hun x
cazza
Put about 50 posters up now around including pubs, post offices , farms, etc., I am overwhelmed by everyone helping out which has given us hope in finding him thank u again. the house is so empty without him!! X
Merlintrude
My mother lives in Flamborough and walks her dog regularly but takes her dog to different areas. Bridlington, Sewerby, Fraisthorpe etc Have sent her the link to Floyds page so she can print off posters. Do check with Priory Vets in Bridlington as they are very good. I've asked mum to drop posters in to vets around the area. Please do get as many posters up around the area as possible. There is the possiblilty someone may take him in and await a missing poster. Finders SHOULD notify the dog warden but sometimes they dont . hope Floyd is back home soon
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Please get lots of posters up for Floyd. If he is wandering about posters will bring in sightings .posters can be printed directly from ths page by first clicking on the view poster tab . X

cazza
Great will contact the school, thanks for that. Yes he is good with other dogs and he loves to play xx
migman34
It could be worth contacting Bridlington upper school (its not far from where a boxer was seen today) we still have members that are looking for Floyd for you Cazza. The dog warden for our area is very good but I would say phone Leconfield kennels daily to check. If we do find him please do not worry there are plenty of us who can hold him untill you can get here, Is Floyd good with dogs? a few members wondered if they have their dogs with them would he come to play? We will keep him bumped on our group. Come on floyd show youself n lets get you home xx
cazza
I am owner of Floyd, we have been round area where he was spotted but no look. have put posters around that area. Just want to say thanks to everyone
migman34
have had communication with the owner. there has been a possible sighting twice today of a boxer alone on scholars way estate in Bridlington. both sightings are deffinatly of a boxer not 100% certain it is floyd but it is a direct route from where he went missing. We have a fir few people out in the area looking and the owner is also on route to the area too. I will update if any more sightings
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Floyd went missing between Buckton and Speeton on a walk from Bempton Cliffs .
Petlog, stray kennels dog wardens and coast guard have been informed .
Migman34 Thankyou for spreading the word and I am sure if you can drum up some help in the search from dog walkers via your Facebook group his owners would be most grateful !
Hoping for news of Loyd very soon.

Admin
Sorry to see that FLOYD is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (50696)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
