- Advertised in this week Countryman's Weekly magazine. I hope it brings some news.

- Great idea, as you say the more eyes looking the better. A little bit further than Cheshire! North Wales mountains. Will put pen to paper.
- 2013-05-01 12:23 Ian
- That sounds like a good idea for an article in the Herald. Journo's are intrinsically lazy and I'm told are likely to pick up a story if its already written. The fact that the dogs home is in Cheshire gives it an edge.

- Stratford-on-Avon Herald might be able to help you. Published each Friday. Also the Shakespeare Marathon is taking place this Sunday and looking at the route it goes through Milcote and Long Marston areas so several pairs of eyes.

- Not sure that this is of any comfort John but my experience with Penny who was a similar temperament to Megan shows that her previous behaviour may not be part of her tool chest in the feral state. If she's ok my guess is by now she is going to have to be caught rather than "giving herself up". Call me when you come down.

- What a shame everything has gone quiet. I will advertise her asap but it will be a couple of weeks before the ad is published.

- Thank you for contacting your friends. After three weeks and no supported sighting we fear the worst. By now we would have expected, hoped, she would have approached people especially family groups with children. We think in the near future we will be coming down again and working outward from the picnic area along the path back towards Stratford and Clifford
Many thanks - 2013-04-28 21:39 Willow
- I have friends who live in Milcote so have asked them to let me know if they see Megan.

Thanks a million Ian

- Hi All,
Sighting of dogs body side of A422 possibly north of Stratford on grass verge. Ian has gone to check.
Thanks Ian - 2013-04-24 17:17 Baggy Dog
- I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you.

- Sorry you had a wasted journey out with absentee gypsies and farmer. I agree with your planning of trap near Milcote Hall Farm and cottages. I drove up the main Milcote road twice on Sunday but no sightings but did not realise there was a lower road nearer the river and Greenway. I'm guessing she'd need to keep close to a water source. I'm back in West Oxfordshire now so am not much use.
- 2013-04-23 01:00 Ian
- I've been over to Clifford tonight but the travellers have moved on. I threw a trap in the truck as I was going that way but unfortunately was unable to find my farmer friend. If possible I'll try again tomorrow.

- Many thanks both of you, it is so difficult being so far away. Really do appreciate your help. If a definite I'd we will be down

- Many thanks. I'm kicking myself slightly that I didn't stop and get out car when I saw them. I'd imagine they'd win a few PR points with locals if they managed to catch her.
- 2013-04-22 09:28 Ian
- Ok,this evening i'll pop over and see them and try and enlist their help.

- Hi Ian. If you are over that way just to flag up that there are some travellers camped just at the entrance to the Clifford Chambers by a business park as you come from the Stratford direction (you can see their pie-bald ponies on the left). I had a bit of a panic when I saw them as this was close to last possible sighting of Megan last Friday but a local told me they'd only arrived on Saturday night (when I was attached poster to church gate) so they can't be implicated. However, they might be useful being so close and might even see her. I was a bit intimidated to approach on Sunday but they could be helpful. I understand from a friend who lives in Stratford that travellers often dine at the New Inn for their Sunday roast.
- 2013-04-22 08:20 Ian
- We have a farmer next door to the pub garden in Clifford Chambers who is willing to supervise a trap on his land. I'll try to set this up over the next couple of days.

- Come on Megan:)

- Fingers crossed x

- Sorry John I've been working in a dead spot and your midday text has only just pinged in. I'll get over there and have a word with the owner of Milcote Hall Farm the owner of which I know.
- 2013-04-21 13:52 Welsh Collie
- Many thanks for the poster campaign in Clifford Chambers. Just had a positive response of a potential sighting in fields on other side of main road from the New Inn.
If you do see her please call her by name and throw a ball. IF she does come she will roll over, but try not to enclose her on her own. JPE - 2013-04-21 10:09 Catwhothinksitsadog
- Have put laminated posters up Clifford Chambers (pub and church gate), Long Marston (Village noticeboard), Welford-on-Avon (golf course, bus stop, village green) as well as both ends of Greenway (Milcote and Stratford-on-Avon) and near Waitrose roundabout so hope this raises awareness locally.

- Many thanks Ian. The lady with the contact via the pub has got no further and nothing has come forwards softer the announcement at the livestock market. We are not giving up. Thank you to the Lower Quinton residents who keep asking if we have found her.
- 2013-04-19 09:41 Ian
- I've received a facebook message from the lady who had seen Megan in Clifford Chambers. Her farmer friend has rung round his neighbours and as far as he knows there are no other missing collies locally. Also these people have not sighted Megan.
- 2013-04-17 06:53 Welsh Collie
- Have had a message re possible sighting in Clifford Chambers area, will try to contact source today. Megan not used to traffic or towns but....
- 2013-04-16 09:15 Catwhothinksitsadog
- If she's heading in that direction, she could also end up around the Milcote picnic area at the end of the Greeenway which is a popular area for dog walkers in Stratford or around Seven Meadows Road fields which are just off the Waitrose roundabout by the River Avon. If she isn't found by the weekend I will stick some posters up there at weekend when I'm down.

- Many thanks for the kind offer much appreciated. We have sent an email to the livestock market and asked them to announce it at the start of the day. Megan's half sister is struggling, not eating food and will not let us out of sight when walking. Thanks again to everyone

- Ive spoken this afternoon to a lady who contacted the owners via a facebook link posted by the Warwickshire dog warden service. She spotted last Friday midday a Border Collie that may be a match moving from the outskirts of Clifford Chambers in the direction of the Waitrose roundabout Stratford upon Avon. This lady will check first with the adjacent landowners to see if there is a resident local brown collie and then contact Megans owners. Megans loss has not yet been registered on the Stratford Dog Warden site so I have notified owner John that its best to do it.Last edited: 2013-04-15 18:03:12 by Ian

- I will be visiting parents in Stratford-upon-Avon this coming weekend. Please let me know if you'd like me to put some posters up. I have emailed the Alscot Park Estate in Atherstone-on-Stour which is just north of Wimpstone in case she is seen there as there are some units where people work.

- Thanks to all in the area for helping us, especially Ian. Just arrived home 19.20
As always any support and information greatly appreciated - 2013-04-14 16:57 Ian
- Ive just returned from meeting the owners of Megan who have been in the area since very early this morning postering and searching the vicinity. They are now on their way home. Yesterday they received 2 texts from the good lady who reported the sighting. They have been trying to make contact with her again to get some indication of the direction she was travelling. This would be very helpful as it could give a basis for a triangulation of her area. If you are that lady could you please make contact again. I understand the Warwickshire Police at Shipston on Stour have also been very helpful. I'm pretty sure the pig farmer had not sighted the dog, he is a friend of mine so will talk to him when I can make contact. Just contacted the lady with dancing collies who travells past that farm to work who will keep her eyes peeled
- 2013-04-14 16:45 Unknown
- Owner has been down today to the area and has met Penny's owner, who is helping look for Megan. Apparently Megan was spotted by a Polish girl but owner is having trouble contacting her atm.
- 2013-04-14 13:49 Unknown
- Penny's owner knows the farmer and is going to speak to him and then the owner of Megan.
- 2013-04-14 13:26 B30
- It would be much appreciated if anyone near Wimpstone could help.
Welsh Collie, was it the owners of the farm who reported the sighting and how far away is the farm from where she went missing? Hopefully she'll stay in the area.
Is she a farm dog? If so she may head for the familiar territory of other farms so if that's the case you need to notify all farms in the area so that they don't drive her off if they see her.Last edited: 2013-04-14 20:20:35 by B30 - 2013-04-13 17:52 Welsh Collie

- Spoke to owner, the lady in the cottage they were staying at is postering the area and the PC who lives next door is trying to help as well. It is believed she was stolen as her collar was removed. Megan will be distressed at been taken and will not eat.
