Spikes owner has just called me with the brilliant news he is home !!! A lady spotted him on a small farm and called his owners .... so a very big Thankyou to her !! It seems as whilst his owners , friends and neighbours have been out searching and worrying about him Spike has been doing his own thing ! When found he was soaking wet ( no rain here ) but is now at home having cuddles with his owners. Welcome home Spike and please stay safe at home from now on x x xLast edited: 2013-04-16 11:41:10 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Walked along fields at Kendray & yews lane this afternoon, sadly no sign of Spike, I'm unable to poster as no printer but I have been showing his picture but also encouraging other local dog owners to join the site. I will keep looking on our walks until Spike is home safe.

Spikes owner has called me to say Spike was not at Cliffe Kennels when he went there and that also the dog warden had been in contact with him and he has had no reports about Spike.
We really need lots of postering to be done ASAP !

Do not think it is Spike I have seen this morning, but saw a loose medium sized Tan/ ginger dog, with LONG fur on Laithes lane Athersley this morning at 9am. Turned the car around and may have a photo of it on my phone in the distance. It turned left onto Wakefield road. Looked more collie X spaniel. It had it's tail up.

Thanks Amberpops and Jayne !
Spike escaped from his garden on the evening of 10 th April and his owner has been out searching for him everywhere. The dog warden has been informed and they are checking with Cliffe Kennels which I have advised them to keep doing and to try to visit them in person with a poster of Spike.
Spike is 13 years old and his owner is very worried . Please can any local helpers help owners postering if possible . Hoping Spike is home again very soon xx

Have seen the we are Barnsley post on Facebook, dog was lost last night in Kendray, unsure exactly where as this is not mentioned. Tomorrow I will walk down to the fields off yews ave & have a look in that area, armed with a lead & treats. Hope he's found beforehand though

Can we have more details about when/where he went missing please? I can alter my walks to search local areas. Also ring Cliffe kennels to see if he has been taken there.
