Can anyone tell me if Dillon had a limp in his rear leg as I spotted a Welsh Terriet being walked in Beddau , not far from the Comp School on Tuesday evening. Alli.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news on Dillon. I am so sorry. I looked at one in Talybont on Usk last Saturday, but it was too young to be your dog. All the best Allison from PontyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A Welsh Terrier dog in poor condition has been handed in to a rescuer over the last couple of days but it's not Dylan, although I have contacted his owners so that they can see this dog and be certain in their own minds that it is the wrong dog. What a strange coincidence because the Welsh terrier is not that a common a breed even around here.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

similiar dog to this being walked in the dark last night 8.30pm in Pontypridd. I could not stop to take a good look as traffic lights were on green. When I went back he was gone. It was a young man who was walking similiar dog aged about 20 odd, tall, big chap in black jacket. The dog stopped for a leak outside the council offices opposite the Muni buildings, looked like he may have been heading towards either- Whiterock Pantygraigwen, Pen-y-graigwen, or could have been headed towards The Graig. Also seen similiar dog being walked in Abercynon by a couple looked in their thirties Mon night. Not saying either one is yours, but it might be worth someone putting posters up for you in those areas soon. All the best Allison.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Does anyone know if posters have been distributed in Mountain Ash area since the possible other sighting? I drive through Mountain Ash and then Abercynon to get home most days when I collect my son from college, and have to say haven't seen any sight of Dilyn. I'll make my way a bit earlier tomorrow and take some posters, it's a very busy little place so am sure if posters were distributed and if he were in that area, I think it would be just a matter of time before somebody noticed him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks very much Alison. A little more info on Dylan: what the photo doesn't show is that his back is black - looks like a black saddle. So his colouring is tan and black. His owner didn't have a photo that showed both his face shape and side view - it was a choice of the jawline or the markings!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had a phone call this evening from a shop owner in Abercynon. She said a man came into the shop today and said that he'd seen a dog like the one in the poster in Wood Street, Mountain Ash. It was walking along on its own. Have informed owners and they are going to look around that area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yup, was me, sorry had trouble logging on yesterday. I saw who 99.9 % I believe could have been Dilyn, driving through the village a few weeks ago, and particularly took notice, thought he must have just of escaped from a local garden perhaps, had no idea at the time that Dilyn was missing. Went to put posters up around the shops, who were all very obliging. Staff at a local newsagents can also vaguely remember seeing him at some time. Lets hope he is being looked after by someone locally and will be soon noticed or handed back if they become aware he is hot property. Drove through that way this morning again, about the same time that I believe I saw him, approx 9.15am, in hope of perhaps seeing him. Thought maybe if he is now with another family, perhaps they put him out at a certain time for wees??? Worth a try. Have spoken to owners, lovely people, hope he turns up soon. Carla. Pontypridd.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Possible sighting of Dylan in Abercynon a week or so ago. Lady who contacted me is going to put posters around that area. She logged on here, read about Dylan and remembered that she had seen a Welsh Terrier at the top of the steep hill running down through the village while driving through one morning. She thought it unusual at the time to see a Welsh Terrier out on his own.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Anyone I know called Dylan has always spelt it this way, so I'm sure this name is the same! e.g Dylan Thomas, Bob Dylan. No more news on this boy, unfortunately. Not a sighting or a clue or anything. He seems to have vanished for the time being.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ever since he was posted I thought he was a Dylan rather than a Dillan (or even Dillon !!) If someone can tell me for sure I'll change it.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks to everyone is helping with the search for Dylan. I haven't been as active as you, having taken in a foster dog who 18 months going on 18 weeks, is totally un-toilet-trained and wearing me out. Also have had in an abandoned pup and a feral cat with two kittens. All hard work. Had a call re a sighting of a dog that looked like Dylan from a schoolgirl attending Rhydywaun School in Penywaun. Apparently this dog has been hanging around the school gates. I informed Dylan's owners who are going there every morning this week but - no sign so far. Thanks again, everyone. It's so encouraging to have all this support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I can confirm that Dillan was recorded briefly by my CCTV system (last image time-stamped 3.09am on 06/01/06). He appeared to be in good order and was attempting to leave the property but was thwarted by the closed gates. At that time he had been missing for some five hours and yet was only about 50 yards from his home. He obviously found his way out of my garden somehow (difficult, due to perimeter wall and chain link fencing) since there was no sign of him in the morning. Given his age, and the fact that he liked his home comforts, it is hard to believe that he would have wandered very far after that. His owners have been commendable in their systematic and diligent search of the surrounding areas and informing the local community. I hope they will be reunited with Dillan soon. - RD Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dylan is still missing although there has been one definite sighting the day after his disappearance and an indefnite one a few days later, one putting him in a different direction than the other. He has strayed, not been stolen, as he was picked up on a neighbour's CCTV camera in the estate in the early hours of the morning. His owners are distraught and are spending all the time searching for him. He's their baby.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
