- Thanks everyone. We are now aware of a little more of Dee's history. Will update with any progress as soon as possible.
Meantime we know that she is kindly being cared for by her finders, on a 28 day retained by finder, via the dog wardens.

- The date lost and found don't add up but is there any possibility this is Bella? Lost dog 51171, all the other details match.

- What a great world it would be if all found dogs could be cared for by people like you instead of going into the holding kennels.
I'll cross-post her over the many Leeds pet fb pages xxLast edited: 2013-04-13 10:50:04 by Fido's friend - Area Volunteer, West Yorshire - 2013-04-13 06:14 Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire
- Well done Beth.
Will also alert Your Dog Walker, as he lives in the area and has Springers too. I wonder if her owners are on holiday and she was being cared for by someone else?
Am also in Leeds-will contact you later

- I took her to Bramley Vets for Pets, just up the road from me and from where we found her, as I didn't have the car this morning. They called round a few vets practices for me, which was nice. Thanks for reminding me of Yorkshire Vets, tomorrow I will have the car & I am planning to do a poster blitz, I will definitely go there. Going to ask at all the vets anywhere near us if we can put up posters. Also going to ask at Pets at Home if they can put up posters, and hand out posters/talk to people at all of the places round here where we walk our dogs.
Someone must be missing her, she has been recently groomed and is in beautiful condition. Getting on very well with our 3 dogs and hasn't batted an eyelid at our cats bless her! She will be well looked after until we can get her home, poor girl. Really hope we can find her owner. Have also tried to circulate about her on Twitter. Thanks for replying

- Beth, just wondered which vets you took her to ? as there is Yorkshire Vets at Thornbury who are a group practice and will share details with their other sites around Leeds in case her owner has contacted them. Sometimes owners forget to update the contact details ie phone number or change of address. It's lovely of you to keep hold of her in order to try locate her owner.

- goldenfrodo - thank you for changing the area, I wasn't sure.
I took her to the vet this morning to check her microchip, then called the dog warden and said I will take care of her until her owner is found. They have tried contacting the number on the microchip database several times today, sadly without success. She is happy & healthy though, and we will continue to look after her with our other dogs until she can go home. - 2013-04-12 20:08 Goldenfrodo
- Changed area to North East.. Hope this lovely girl's owners come forward soon x
