I just bumped into Ostin and his owner who are both SO happy to see each other. His owner was so excited to have him back, although a little concerned that he seems a little understandably nervous. I said I would help take the posters down now when I saw them around Camden. I'm so glad this story had a happy ending. :)

Yay , yes posters make a dog too hot xxx

FANTASTIC xx

update from helper....Well it seems that the posters did the trick by themselves: someone brought Ostin back to the owner saying that they had bought him from someone but all seemed a bit fishy. Anyway he is home, i have seen him there myself to make sure, so he can go into the blue
Many thanks

I just saw on twitter the fantastic news that Ostin is home. Am sure they will update you soon as I think it only just happened. I am so happy for them x

Also Doglost say to definitely give Ostin's details to all Dog Wardens, Rescue centres and Dog pounds within a 30 miles radius of your house because local centres may be full up so if they have him they might have to send him out of the area. They can re-home dogs after 7 days so if he was last seen on Wednesday this needs to be done urgently. Please let me know if you need help doing all this - it is most urgent that we do this now
cs
Hello again Dace are you ok? Ostin's details here say he is microchipped but Doglost don't have the chip number - could you provide the chip number to Doglost by phone or using the contact us button asap otherwise Ostin won't show up as a lost dog if someone scans him! Also you need to tell the chip company that he is missing so that they can register him as lost on their records.

Been out today putting up posters and telling people. There was a man with a jack russell on Leighton Road but mature female. You need to have some rest - he doesn't seem to be out running around the streets by day. If he hasn't been taken in by someone he may be hiding by day and moving around at night. You could take a day off from going round the streets and instead sit near you house for several hours with some food that's good and smelly such as sardines or start up a BBQ outside or cook some meat inside with the windows open so the scent carries ... he's got to be hungry. He may not be as far away from your house as we might think but probably wouldn't come out of his hiding place if you just call him - food might do the trick

I will be back out tomorrow morning on the hunt and hopefully lots of other Doglosters will be looking too. Are there any other clues as to where Ostin might be, such as which direction he was heading when he ran off?
Dace
Cs - Dace Owner - been out all day today and also checked Brecknock road & Leighton road for update - Bumblebee health food store told me you been in today asking for information, also received the colour posters, thanks a million, will follow your advice & put on these tomorrow on Leighton road, hopes the 2nd sighting is true & he is safe...

I was out looking for Ostin this morning around Toriano Estate, Toriano Av, Brecknock Road and Leighton Road and neighbouring areas. Put up posters and spoke to loads of people. one possible sighting: barman in pub by the Estate thought he had seen a man leading a dog like the photo on Leighton Road yesterday so maybe worth focussing on Leighton Rd. I will drop you some colour posters as soon as I can.
