Hi UKbornNbred#EndBSL, just to let you know that your piece of paper most likely was not a microchip number but is the telphone number 0300 123 4999. This is the national contact number for the RSPCA which people can use to report cruelty etc. Good on you for helping poor Ruby, the warden sounds like he will look fter her too. xx
Caz
Castle Douglas is in the Dumfries & Galloway area of Scotland

Just also Phoned up Market Harborough Council left my info with them awaiting return call from dog warden, Tried Corby Council NO luck there
& also tried City of Leicestershire County Council
said have had no reports of lost dogs they said doubtful would be from there but I thought I would try Will update if I get any more info from the many places I have now left my contact info & will check back on here soon, ALSO I Just thought CORBY Has a lot of Scotish people who moved there so might be she was brought or came from Scotland when family went up that way to Visit or Something JUST me speculating but it is odd her chip leads there that's all else I can think of at the momentLast edited: 2013-04-19 14:27:51 by UKbornNbred#EndBSL

Little Update Spoke To dog Warden Just Now He called me as promised decent chap to let me know there has been NO Reports of A missing Dog like her yet and Sadly Microchip info led to no where All that really came it was a Dead contact number & a location in SCOTLAND?? Don't know if I am spelling this correctly but here goes A PLACE CALLED CASTLE DUGLESS & also an update on where she is being kept for next 7 Days SHE Is in Forrest Lodge in Northampton website is http://www.forestlodgekennels.co.uk/ Contact given from that site is 01604 862239 Suspect possible she may of jumped of a canal boat as she looked like she had been in a River or may of been dumped but I don't know why she had a lovely temperament once I Calmed her down & was more than happy to be stroked by my children BUT I Cant speak for other pets as I Kept my dogs & her apart as I did not think it would be right to mix them as I had a little kid about at home I Did not want to take any silly risks BUT I suspect they would of all got along just fine She took to me very well so if her owners sadly did abandon her or don't find her within 7 days she may well get rehomed pretty fast as you can see she is a lovely dog BUT I Do think she was loved as she looked well fed I Still suspect myself her owner may be elderly Just a gut feeling I Really hope she don't get rehomed B4 Her owner can find her! I Would feel so guilty that I Let her go But I Hope she finds her home or a good new home to go live the rest of her days with, I Would take her in But I Wont lie I have 2 dogs already & 5 kids in a 3 bedroom house so I Have not got the room but if her life was at risk I Would happily make room for her But Dog warden said She has a VERY Good chance of being rehome quickly after the 7 days, Still NO Calls to Police either, So I am at a loss to guess any further, THANKS Carol I Always will take in and try find a dogs owner B4 Handing dog over to dog warden as I know it cost money to get them back & she could of been local but don't look that way at the moment, I Found a dog few months ago but was lucky to find its owner who didn't even know there dog was out but they did say they fed there chickens half hour ago So was lucky that time but sadly I didn't have the same luck with this poor lassie
Sammie
Sallys owners have confirmed to me this sadly not her.
Carol
She is a little darling well done for finding her x
Ellie
Thank you so much UKbornNbred#EndBSL for caring for this little girl. There are no springers currently registered as missing in LE on DogLost. Your updates would be much appreciated
UKbornNbred#EndBSL
In my opinion I don't think it is Sally as she looks different to me imho but I cant say for sure But it was odd the Microchip scan came back to Scotland the dog warden said maybe got chipped as a puppy while still with mum b4 she was sold but who knows right now Hope someone finds this post or I hear good news of the Warden tomorrow I Also put up a sign along the main road saying LOST A DOG??? & Where to knock but aint had no knocks or had any calls yet back about her my fingers are crossed it took me about 20mins to get her trust then she took to me and when it started to rain and I took her in my house she looked tied and layed on my sofa with her head on my leg she touched a place in my heart bless her I wouldn't of minded looking after her but I have 2 dogs already and I kept them apart so wouldn't of been fair on my 2 dogs although they are friendly I Didn't want to put 2 dogs in her face, Will check back soon
Ellie
Have added this girlie to DogLost Leicestershire Facebook, plus my own and other relevant local sites. Do hope she finds her family soon.
UKbornNbred#EndBSL
Here is that number took a pic so maybe someone can make it out better than myself or it might of been scribbled out for a reason http://tinypic.com/r/2vdnosy/6
I Will also contact the Dog warden tomorrow afternoon see if there's any update & ask if I can have her Chip number to add on here Last edited: 2013-04-18 22:43:50 by UKbornNbred#EndBSL
UKbornNbred#EndBSL
Hmmm Don't know about the chip number it was a shot in the dark but mabey I mixed up an 8 & 0 how about 0308003001234999 its been scribble over so bit hard to tell but here is also the rest of picture I had http://www.sendspace.com/file/orclbo if anybody wants to look at them She had bits of thorn twigs and was quite matted to I Was going to give her a bath but I phoned both my local police forces no reports and aint heard back from them yet either was advised to call council as could check for a microchip I Offered to look after her but he said would be best with him and assured me she would be safe stay with him for 7 days then go to good kennels that don't put dogs down unless it is a must what in her case was not she looked well and healthy just been on an adventure The only other things I can say are she looked well fed although was hungry and glad to have some cold fresh water and I thought she may of been an elderly persons dog but that's just a guess she responded to sit too but not many other commands I use on my dogs normal ones I suppose She didn't seem to have much road sense as was walking in middle of the road but might just of been because she was quite distressed barking and wondering but the traffic may of scared her too so not sure tbh hope my info is of some help
Sammie
Have updated photos, now she looks more like Sally. Sally has no chip registered on here so we will have to wait and see. The chip number you listed comes up coming from Greece according to a web site. Lets hope the DW comes up with something. Are they going to let you know as they often don't come on here.Last edited: 2013-04-18 21:43:36 by Sammie
