It is with great sadness that I have to report Pheonix was involued in a RTA on the A27 sometime during Monday 29/04/2013.
Run free little one xxxx
Sammie
Thank you Lynda, did you text the contact telephone number too?
Network Rail are aware of her, but I am praying that she won't go near the line.
Lynda
Have a friend lives in New Lane and I've texted him to keep an eye out for her.....hate the idea of her being so close to the railway, though.
Sammie
Last sighting 27/4 10.30 Bartons Road, New Lane side of Railway Bridge.
The lady that saw her was driving and had received a lefleat through her door so she was aware of her being missing but had to wait till she got home to find the number, hence the sighting was phoned in some time later, but very good to have had a sighting.
This area was searched again but they couldn't find her.
Sammie
Ratel thanks for your comment - these kennels have been checked and previously notified.
A lot were searching yesterday and today, often a mile apart keeping in touch by phone for safety and ensuring different areas were covered quietly. People have been advised if they see her only to call in, not to approach but ok to throw her some food if they have some to keep her that area.
If need be we have back up for a trap etc from Chichester Rescue but fosterer has been informed how to attempt to recapture without initially approaching her.Last edited: 2013-04-27 16:01:31 by Sammie

Carole
Can Phoenix be bumped due to sightings yesterday? x
Ratel
Just a thought but she may be attracted to Kings Boarding Kennels in Barton Road, perhaps equating the noise of other dogs with food?
Pnki
Had several sightings this morning and spent the day searching that area but unfortunately no further sighting. She was seen crossing Southleigh Rd by small industrial estate over to fields opposite then half hour later running along Bartons Rd opp side of rd to Spire. Thx for support x

I have also shared Pheonix's information on our Facebook page
Sammie
Have updated last sighted on poster details; have spoken with fosterer to focus leafleting / search in sighted area and to now plot points on a map. Will travel to area Friday or Saturday.

Shared on Facebook as I have friends in Emsworth Denvilles and New Brighton Road Area!
Pnki
From leaflet drop woman phoned to say she saw her her in Racton Rd earlier in the week (couldnt remember which day) at approx 2pm. Phoenix didnt have confidence to come too close and stayed in hedgerow, then ran off up New Brighton Rd. This is something even if a few days old.
Sammie
Bumping due to continious door to door leafleting.
Sue
See you tomorrow at 6.
Nic
Thank you Robbie, I have emailed Julian Clegg, fingers crossed.

Sue, tomorrow evening will be great, we won't get them all done tonight. If you are free we will be at the park again at 6PM.
thank you for your help the other night too!!
Sue
Sorry I can't help tonight but can do some tomorrow (day or evening) if that would help.
Nic
Leafleting houses in Emsworth area tonight, any volunteers who are able to help please let Naomi know.

Get in contact with Julian Clegg at BBc Radio Solent, he is a wonderful dog lover. On the local radio every weekday morning from 6:30 to 10:00. His email address is julianclegg@bbc.co.uk

Come on Pheonix, show yourself x
Pnki
Another contact will put in paper without picture and very local bi monthly paper will put article in if not found by date of going to press. Nicole suggests leaflet drop through all doors as running out of ideas. Another evening of searching without success.
Sammie
I have had a long chat with Nic today and have tried to get the photos changed so the newspaper will accept them. We feel that more publicity may bring a sighting which we lack, even though there has been loads of posters and endless hours of searching completed (day and night).
Nic
Hi Sammie, I have tried the local paper, they said they would do a story if we had good pictures. Yvonne sent the photos from the centre but they said they weren't good enough Not enough resolution or something. We then sent some that Laura had taken but I don't think they were clear enough either. I haven't heard from her since, I emailed again but no reply. I tried Radio Solent at Laura's suggestion but no reply to my email or text. Don't know who else to try, anyone have an in with local media?
Sammie
As no sightings have suggested trying to get something in the local paper as she may only be coming out at night. Have asked how her sight might be after no drops in her left eye (blind in Right eye)
Pnki
Many thanks everyone, still no sightings and we are still looking. Nicole was out from 4am for nearly 3 hours as well.

I left a voice mail for dog 50512 but it does say it is cream.
Received confirmation the dog sighted was not a terrier and was fluffy like a BichonLast edited: 2013-04-22 15:15:45 by Sammie
Ness
Have you looked at No 50512 on here?
Not much info on the page but maybe worth a call?
She might have got that far (to PO20) or someone picked her up and then lost here again.
Certainly worth giving the number a call!
l0vesustrihar
Hi , I am in Fareham and have shared and asked my local friends on Facebook & Twitter to share/keep a look out too . Good Luck with finding her x
Sue
Hi Nicole, that will be fine, see you at 6.
Sue. My mobile is 07887 948968.
Nic
Hi Sue,
we are going out again this evening(Monday) to search if you are able to help. We will be meeting at the car park of the park on Horndean Road, around 6PM if you would be able to join us. Perhaps see you then. You could take my number as a contact number if you can't find us. 07818056945.
Thanks,

Nicole
Sammie
Sue I spoke with Pnki today and please do phone her on the first mobile number listed to help search and area. There has been no definate sightings but if this could have been her last night I have suggested scenting from the park back to the fosterers house. Dog beds / dens are already set up if she returns.
Someone may have found her and kept her over the weekend, this also does happen when the council is not working so it is another possibility.
Pnki
Thanks Sue, owner of land said it would be a very cheeky fox that lives in there but she would go and have a look. (She is a dog person). I don't really know what else we can do unless we get a sighting of her. Local MT friends and I have been looking everywhere we thought she might be.
Sue
If you need any help searching tomorrow (Monday) let me know.
Pnki
Still no sightings but pair of eyes seen in fenced off area near where I live. The animal kept coming back out of the bushes. Returned later same thing happened but nothing seen this morning. Will get permission to go in here.
Pnki
We have been out all day, putting up flyers in the area, giving leaflets out etc but not even one sighting! All very sad. Thanks x
Sue
I am in Havant but will be looking out for Pheonix. I am new to this area but will help in any way I can.
Sammie
Ratel she had only been there a few days, a bed has been left for her by the house if she returns on her own.
Cant13
Shared on FB page, live in Southampton, family in Waterlooville. Cousin works in Vets so have asked her to spread the word too. Hope she's home real soon.
Ratel
How long has she been in the foster home?
Sammie
I think everyone has been contacted who should be, including network rail as Denvilles is close to a line. Mrs Hunt from Chichester Dog Rescue has offered help and advice. We need sightings now so if anyone can share her poster electronically or posters in the area help it would help. Any offer to help search please contact the first number listed above.
Ness
Shared locally (PO7) on Facebook. Can't get out today but will be walking the foreshore that way tomorrow. Hope she's home soon.
Gino
Alert sent to helpers in PO7,8,9,10,11,18.
Sammie
Have spoken with fosterer - this is a rescue I also foster for so any help finding this little girl is much appreciated.
