Tommy was found in Pensarn which is between Abergele and Rhyl in Conwy, North Wales. He had been found on the beach and ended up in rescue. Thankfully the lovely carol from abandoned animals called me a couple of days ago to check whether there was a match as he was a well looked after dog. After checking the Internet, doglost and other sites there was no other possible match except tommy, so contact was made with Julie so she could go and check for herself and thankfully it was him. Tommy is now chipped x

There is a post on gundog of north wales FB group asking if anyone has lost a dog that looks like a flatcoat and seems to have had some gundog training. We have been following this up to see if it could be Amy, flatcoat missing from Winchester. Latest info is that it is a neutered male and somebody remembered the post about Tommy. Trying to get contact details of the finder so we can put you in contact. Fingers crossed it's him!

The owner is having difficulty getting on the site to comment. I have called Hengwrt, Nant and Aber kennels - no sign x

Hi Jayne - many thanks for posting the owner's email. Is it possible to find out which way Tommy headed - which way thro' the fields - is it possible for Tommy's owner to register on DL - did he head along the beach towards Brynhudfa or across the fields back down towards Trefor - have the local farms been informed? concerned that it is still lambing........... xx Has the DW been informed I wonder (01286 672255). They will provide the numbers for the local holding kennels just in case he's been picked up and it might be worth phoning Freshfields (07771798369), North Clwyd Animal Rescue (01745 560546) and Milfeddygon Deufor (01766 810277)just in case they've heard anything - I'm out very early in the morning so won't have a chance to make enquiries. email from owner...
Hi, I am not sure how to answer the questions that you're volunteers are sending me on Doglost website. I really don't know how to
link and email them back, can you please help? :-[
In the meantime Tommy has got lost in Trefor between 11.00 and 3.00 on Sunday 14th April. He does wonder off and does always come
back, he usually visit the farm at the top of the hill as you go down to the beach, Gwydir Bach and he likes his girlfriend there, but she is
not on heat at the moment, so he wen't off with the other dog there through the fields, but the owner's dopg came back but not Tommy.

Hi Rach - actually went past Gwydir Bach and followed the coastal path round to the quarry and back thro' Trefor upto the Caernarfon Road and back along down into Trefor. Do we know where the girl came from ? Have Tommy's family been along to see if he's there? xx Probably went in completely the wrong direction! :-)

Hi jo, he was last seen Gwydir Bach on the Sunday, and then seen with a female dog, the female went home. I have posted to register on here on owners Facebook x

I'm going over there again this afternoon - as people I've asked know nothing of his loss. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack without some kind of location to go on. It's very local and our favourite walking area - we spend a lot of time over that way (it's one of my study areas for archaeology) so we go where the footpaths lead over the hills. It's pouring tho' today so doubt whether we'll see anything but ya never know. xx

Hi Jobadger. I posted Tommy on here for the owner as she couldnt manage it and the mobile number is mine.
I've been trying to get in touch with her (through Facebook)so I can find out more information but she hasnt responded. Thanks for any help you can give xx
jobadger
Hi
Where exactly was Tommy lost from - home/on a walk? Does he know his way around Trefor - Have you any idea which way he might have headed? Does he ever come upto the top Caernarfon Road? I've actually just come in with Jess from walking over the top lane from Llanaelhaearn down to Trefor (by the pottery) but didn't see or meet anything. He looks a gorgeous lad - I hope he's home soon. I've just realised this boy went missing on 14th - I've been up and down the Gyrns over the weekend and Monday but didn't see anything untoward. Have there been any sightings at all? Sorry for all the questions - just need information to know where to start......... xx
