- Yes leejb tell Chris to tell them that unless they return Loci, (the dog that can unlock doors so maybe change his name to Lockie) that he will go legal on them. Loci has been stolen its as simple as that. These people broke an agreement that if they changed their minds Loci should be returned, an agreement is legally binding. What horrible deceitful people.
- 2013-05-15 23:34 leejb
- Its difficult... I think Chris just wanted what was best for him and him and his girlfriend trusted them.. Gave him to them for free on the condition if they couldn't cope to return him.. If he is lucky enough to have him returned I doubt he would let him out his sight! So they should report him as stolen because obviously he can't open the door..... Hmmm gonna ring Chris now
- 2013-05-15 22:53 Timmy's Mummy
- If Loci was going to be returned then he belongs to the previous owner, so this person should report Loci as been STOLEN. He could then take it further and then the truth will out. Loci must be a very clever dog to be able to open the back door. These people now need to tell the truth. Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive. If Loci is found and needs a good home then I will have him. My poor old Collie X is fading away before my eyes sob sob. He's a rescue and the best dog I have ever had, a gift from God when my life was rubbish.Last edited: 2013-05-15 22:56:34 by Timmy's Mummy

- Or if he did escape then someone could of seen him and decided to keep him... On that same day he went missing I read that 2 collies were taken from central avenue in Kettering but they were reunited... So he was either stolen, sold or got out. He hasn't been handed into the kennels and I dont know what else I can do to help feel like its just a waiting game now
- 2013-05-15 19:18 leejb
- Its a long and very hard to explain situation.... Before he was being returned to his previous owner they reckon he managed to open their back door by himself which personally I find very difficult to believe.... I did tell the couple I think they sold him on and they wasn't happy with that... But if they did I guess we will never find out unless whoever has him sees his pictures and comes forward.... His picture was put on pets for sale by Sheena but had no info attached with it... On the day he went missing. We keep bumping the pic on there hoping someone sees it. Hope we will find him soon :-(

- I have concerns over Loci there's something not right. Going to share him on facebook again xx
- 2013-05-15 10:27 Timmy's Mummy
- Other info says: Missing sometime between 9 & 4. Does that mean Loci was out all day on his own? Missing from where? House/Garden/Walkies? This is all very vague and suspicious. No chip, no tag, no collar! My guess - sold on! Poor Loci!

- Advertised in this week Countryman's Weekly magazine. I hope it brings some news.

- 2013-05-06 20:39 Timmy's Mummy
- Some people are so ungrateful and ignorant, it makes my blood boil! Her reply of just 'Yes' wouldn't make her an after dinner speaker would it? It makes me wonder just how long the dog was missing for as her responses have been evasive to say the least. Well done Chappers anyway xxx
- 2013-05-06 18:07 mathers22
- Sound like wonderfully grateful owners !!!! Well done xx
- 2013-05-06 15:15 B30

- Messaged the owner again via facebook today to say that I would assume reunited if I didn't hear back this time as people are volunteering their own spare time to help here. (politeness is fading fast!) I got this reply straight back:
Sheena Hamilton
Hi, sorry have been away for the weekend. And haven't been recieving my notifications. The post can be removed
I asked if that meant reunited and just got a simple "yes"....refrained from saying "you're welcome"... :/ x - 2013-04-29 21:10 Chappers
- No sign of him at Wickies, will share again on Facebook. Just discovered we can pre-register our dogs on here. Have put my dog's details on, made a donation & shared on D for Dog and will share on FB too. Hope this dog turns up soonLast edited: 2013-04-29 21:12:19 by Chappers

- I did manage to speak to her to update some of the details but half way through the conversation the phone went dead. I have tried a couple of times since but the same thing keeps happening. It says "the other person has cleared"Last edited: 2013-04-29 12:22:16

Yes, it is very difficult to help people when there are no updates. - 2013-04-28 22:47 Liz Q

- Will be at nearby Wicksteed Park tomorrow & will keep an eye open. Do we have a name? Male or female? Is this a serious/genuine lost dog as there is so little info from the owner? Is the dog likely to come to me if I call/whistle him/her & offer treats? Not meaning to be cruel or unkind...but owners should try to help DogLost to help them more!

- Sorry to see that LOCI is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (51692)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
